He walked in all the way of Asa his father. He did not turn away from it, doing that which was right in the LORD’s eyes. However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

| وَسَارَ فِي كُلِّ طَرِيقِ آسَا أَبِيهِ. لَمْ يَحِدْ عَنْهَا، إِذْ عَمِلَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ فِي عَيْنَيِ ٱلرَّبِّ. إِلَّا أَنَّ ٱلْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ لَمْ تُنْتَزِعْ، بَلْ كَانَ ٱلشَّعْبُ لَا يَزَالُ يَذْبَحُ وَيُوقِدُ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ. |
| وَاقْتَفَى خُطَى أَبِيهِ آسَا، وَلَمْ يَحِدْ عَنْهَا صَانِعاً مَا هُوَ صَالِحٌ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ. إِلاَّ أَنَّ مَذَابِحَ الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ لَمْ تُهْدَمْ، بَلْ كَانَ الشَّعْبُ لاَ يَزَالُ يَذْبَحُ وَيُوقِدُ عَلَيْهَا. |
যিহোচাফটে নিজ পিতৃ আচাৰ পথত চলিলে; তেওঁ সেইবোৰৰ পৰা নুঘূৰি, যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষাতে সদাচৰণ কৰিলে। তথাপি পবিত্র ঠাইবোৰ গুচুউৱা হোৱা নাছিল; লোকসকলে তেতিয়াও সেই পবিত্ৰ ঠাইবোৰত বলিদান কৰিছিল আৰু ধূপ জ্বলাইছিল।
O, atası Asanın yolu ilə getdi və Rəbbin gözündə doğru olan işlər edərək bunlardan kənara çıxmadı. Ancaq səcdəgahlar aradan qaldırılmadı, xalq hələ səcdəgahlarda qurban gətirir və buxur yandırırdı.
যিহোশাফট সব ব্যাপারেই তাঁর বাবা আসার পথ ধরেই চলতেন, কখনও সেই পথ ছেড়ে যান নি। সদাপ্রভুর চোখে যা ঠিক তিনি তাই করতেন। উঁচু স্থানগুলো ধ্বংস করা হয়নি, লোকেরা সেখানে পশু উৎসর্গ করত ও ধূপ জ্বালাত।
সবকিছুতেই তিনি তাঁর বাবা আসার পথে চলেছিলেন এবং সেগুলি থেকে সরে যাননি; সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে যা ন্যায্য, তিনি তাই করলেন। অবশ্য প্রতিমাপূজার উঁচু উঁচু স্থানগুলি সরানো হয়নি, এবং লোকজন তখনও সেগুলিতে পশুবলি উৎসর্গ করে যাচ্ছিল ও ধূপও জ্বালিয়ে যাচ্ছিল।
Той ходи съвършено в пътя на баща си Аса: не се отклони от него а вършеше това, което бе право пред Господа. Високите места, обаче, не се отмахнаха; людете още жертвуваха и кадяха по високите места.

Išao je sasvim putem oca Ase, ne skrećući s njega, nego čineći što je pravo u očima Jahvinim. Samo, uzvišice nisu bile uklonjene, narod je još prinosio klanice i kađenice na uzvišicama.

Jehoshaphat was a good king, just like his father Asa had been. He did things that pleased Yahweh. But while he was king, he did not remove all the pagan altars [that the people had built] on the hilltops. So the people continued to offer sacrifices [to idols] on those altars and burned incense there.

καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν πάσῃ ὁδῷ Ασα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐξέκλινεν ἀπ’ αὐτῆς τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ εὐθὲς ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς κυρίου πλὴν τῶν ὑψηλῶν οὐκ ἐξῆρεν ἔτι ὁ λαὸς ἐθυσίαζεν καὶ ἐθυμίων ἐν τοῖς ὑψηλοῖς
તે તેના પિતા આસાને પગલે ચાલ્યો અને તેમાંથી ચલિત ન થતાં તેણે યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે સારું હતું તે જ કર્યું. જોકે, ઉચ્ચસ્થાનો કાઢી નાખવામાં આવ્યાં નહોતાં. લોકો હજી તેમાં યજ્ઞ કરતા અને ધૂપ બાળતા હતા.
