< Ephesians 4 >

1 Exhort therefore you I myself the prisoner in [the] Lord worthily to walk of the calling to which you were called,
Naizvozvo ndinokukumbirisai, ini musungwa muna Ishe, kuti mufambe zvakafanira kudanwa kwamakadanwa nako,
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
pamwe nekuzvininipisa kwese neunyoro, nemoyo murefu, muchiitirana moyo murefu murudo,
3 being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,
muchishingaira kuchengeta umwe hweMweya muchisungo cherugare.
4 one body and one Spirit even as also you were called into one hope of the calling of you;
Kune muviri umwe uye Mweya umwe, sezvamakadanwawo mutariro imwe yekudanwa kwenyu;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ishe umwe, rutendo rumwe, rubhabhatidzo rwumwe,
6 one God and Father of all, who [is] over all and through all [times] and in all (in you. *K(O)*)
Mwari umwe naBaba vevese, ari pamusoro pevese, uye kubudikidza nevese, nekwamuri mese.
7 One now to each of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Asi kune umwe neumwe wedu kwakapiwa nyasha zvichienderana nechiyero chechipo chaKristu.
8 Therefore it says: Having ascended on high He led captive captivity, (and *ko*) he gave gifts to men.
Naizvozvo anoti: Paakakwira kumusoro, wakatapa utapwa, akapa zvipo kuvanhu.
9 And He ascended, what is [this] only except that also He descended (first *K*) into the lower regions of the earth?
Zvino izvi kuti: Wakakwira, chii kunze kwekuti wakaburukawo pakutanga kunzvimbo dzakaderera dzenyika?
10 The [One] having descended [the] same is also [one] having ascended above all the heavens, so that He may fill all things.
Wakaburuka ndiyewo wakakwira kumusoro-soro kwematenga ese, kuti azadzise zvinhu zvese.
11 And He himself gave some indeed [to be] apostles, some however prophets, some however evangelists, some however shepherds and teachers,
Zvino iye wakapa vamwe kuva vaapositori, nevamwe vaporofita, nevamwe vaevhangeri, nevamwe vafudzi nevadzidzisi,
12 toward the perfecting of the saints for [the] work of ministry, for [the] building up of the body of Christ;
kuitira kukwaniswa kwevatsvene, pabasa reushumiri, pakuvakwa kwemuviri waKristu;
13 until we may attain all to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a man a complete, to [the] measure of [the] stature of the fullness of Christ;
kusvikira tese tasvika paumwe hwerutendo, nehweruzivo rweMwanakomana waMwari, pamurume wakazara, pachiyero chechimiro chekuzara kwaKristu;
14 so that no longer we may be infants being tossed by waves and being carried about by every wind of teaching in the cunning of men in craftiness with a view to the scheming of deceit,
kuti tisazova vacheche, vanodzungaidzwa nemafungu kuenda nekudzoka nekupepereswa nemhepo ipi neipi yedzidziso, nekunyengera kwevanhu, pakunyengera, kumano ekutsauka;
15 Speaking the truth however in love we may grow up into Him in all things who is the head, (*k*) Christ
asi titaure chokwadi murudo, tigokura maari pazvinhu zvese, iye musoro, Kristu;
16 from whom all the body being joined together and being held together through every ligament of [its] supply according to [the] working in [the] measure individual of each part the increase of the body makes for itself to [the] building up of itself in love.
kunobva kwaari muviri wese, wakabatanidzwa pamwe zvakaringana nekuumbanidzwa, kubudikidza nemudemhe-mudemhe wefundo rimwe nerimwe, zvichienderana nemashandiro muchiero chenhengo imwe neimwe achikurisa muviri pakuvakwa kwawo murudo.
17 This therefore I say and I testify in [the] Lord No longer [are] you to walk even as also the (rest of *K*) Gentiles are walking in [the] futility of the mind of them,
Naizvozvo ndinoreva ichi, nekupupura muna Ishe, kuti imwi kubva zvino musachifamba sevamwe vahedheni vanofamba mukushaya maturo kwefungwa yavo,
18 (darkened *N(k)O*) in the understanding being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance which is being in them, on account of the hardness of the heart of them;
vakasvibiridzwa mufungwa, vari vatorwa paupenyu hwaMwari nekuda kwekusaziva kuri mukati mavo, nekuda koukukutu hwemoyo yavo;
19 who having cast off all feeling themselves they gave up to sensuality for [the] working of impurity all with greediness.
ivo vakazvipa vatindivara kuunzenza, kuti vabate utsvina hwese neruchiva.
20 you yourselves however not this way learned Christ,
Asi imwi hamuna kudzidza Kristu saizvozvo,
21 if indeed Him you have heard and in Him were taught, even as is [the] truth in Jesus,
kana zvakadaro makamunzwa nekudzidziswa maari, sezvo chokwadi chiri muna Jesu;
22 Are to have put off you concerning the former way of life the old man which is being corrupted according to [its] desires of deceit,
kuti murase zvinoenderana nemufambiro wekutanga, munhu wekare, anoodzwa nekuchiva kwekunyengera;
23 to be renewed then in the spirit of the mind of you
uye muvandudzwe mumweya wefungwa yenyu,
24 and to have put on the new man according to God having been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
uye kuti mufuke munhu mutsva, wakasikwa maererano naMwari mukururama neutsvene hwechokwadi.
25 Therefore having put off falsehood do speak truth each one with the neighbour of him, because we are of one another members.
Naizvozvo muchiisa nhema parutivi, mutaure chokwadi umwe neumwe kune umwe wake; nokuti tiri mitezo, umwe weumwe.
26 do be angry and yet not do sin; The sun not should set upon the anger of you;
Tsamwai musingatadzi; zuva ngarirege kuvira pamusoro pekutsamwa kwenyu;
27 (neither *N(k)O*) do give opportunity to the devil.
uye musapa dhiabhorosi nzvimbo.
28 who is stealing no longer he should steal, rather however he should toil working with [their] own hands what [is] good, so that he may have [something] to impart to the [one] need having.
Wakaba ngaarege kubazve; asi zviri nani kuti abate nesimba chinhu chakanaka nemaoko, kuti ave nechaangapa anoshaiwa.
29 Any word unwholesome out of the mouth of you not should go forth but if any good for edification of the need, so that it shall give grace to those hearing.
Shoko ripi zvaro rakaora ngarirege kubuda mumuromo menyu, asi chero kana rakanakira kuvaka sezvakafanira, kuti ripe nyasha kune vanonzwa.
30 And not do grieve the Spirit Holy of God in whom you were sealed for [the] day of redemption.
Uye regai kushungurudza Mweya Mutsvene waMwari, wamakaiswa mucherechedzo maari kusvikira pazuva redzukunuro.
31 All bitterness and rage and anger and clamor and slander should be removed from you along with all malice.
Shungu dzese, nehasha, nekutsamwa, nekupopota, nekutuka ngazvibviswe kwamuri neuipi hwese;
32 do be now to one another kind, tender-hearted, forgiving each other even as also God in Christ forgave (you. *NK(O)*)
asi ivai nemoyo munyoro umwe kune mumwe, muchinzwira tsitsi, muchikanganwirana, Mwari sezvaakakukanganwiraiwo muna Kristu.
