1 Salimo la Davide. Perekani kwa Yehova, inu anthu amphamvu, perekani kwa Yehova ulemerero ndi mphamvu.

Ascribe to Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty, ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength.

2 Perekani kwa Yehova ulemerero woyenera dzina lake, pembedzani Yehova mwa kukongola kwa chiyero chake.

Ascribe to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Worship Jehovah in holy array.

3 Liwu la Yehova lili pamwamba pa madzi; Mulungu waulemerero abangula, Yehova abangula pamwamba pa madzi amphamvu.

The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Jehovah upon many waters.

4 Liwu la Yehova ndi lamphamvu; liwu la Yehova ndi laulemerero.

The voice of Jehovah is powerful. The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 Liwu la Yehova limathyola mikungudza; Yehova amathyolathyola mikungudza ya ku Lebanoni.

The voice of Jehovah breaks the cedars. Yea, Jehovah breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 Iye amachititsa Lebanoni kulumphalumpha ngati mwana wangʼombe, Siriyoni ngati mwana wa njati:

He makes them also to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 Liwu la Yehova limakantha ngati kungʼanima kwa mphenzi.

The voice of Jehovah splits the flames of fire.

8 Liwu la Yehova limagwedeza chipululu; Yehova amagwedeza chipululu cha Kadesi.

The voice of Jehovah shakes the wilderness. Jehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Liwu la Yehova limapindapinda mibawa ndi kuyeretsa nkhalango. Ndipo mʼNyumba mwake onse amafuwula kuti, “Ulemerero!”

The voice of Jehovah makes the hinds to calve, and strips the forests bare. And in his temple everything says, Glory.

10 Yehova amakhala pamwamba pa madzi osefukira, Yehova ndiye mfumu kwamuyaya.

Jehovah sat as King at the Flood. Yea, Jehovah sits as King forever.

11 Yehova amapereka mphamvu kwa anthu ake; Yehova amadalitsa anthu ake ndi mtendere.

Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
