Psalmów 108

1 Pieśń psalmu samego Dawida. Gotowe jest serce moje, Boże! śpiewać i wysławiać cię będę, także i chwała moja.

“A song or psalm of David.” My heart is firm, O God; I will sing and give praise, even with my spirit.

2 Ocućże się lutnio i harfo! gdy na świtaniu powstaję.

Awake, psaltery and harp: I will wake up the morning-dawn.

3 Wysławiać cię będę między ludźmi, Panie! a będęć śpiewał między narodami.

I will give thee thanks among the people, O Lord: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

4 Albowiem większe jest nad niebiosa miłosierdzie twoje, i aż pod obłoki prawda twoja.

For great above the heavens is thy kindness, and thy truth reacheth even unto the skies.

5 Wywyszże się nad niebiosa, o Boże! a nad wszystkę ziemię chwała twoja.

Exalt thyself above the heavens, O God; and above all the earth thy glory.

6 Niech będą wybawieni umiłowami twoi; zachowajże ich prawicą swoją, a wysłuchaj mię.

In order that thy beloved may be delivered: help with thy right hand, and answer me.

7 Bóg mówił przez świętobliwość swoję; dlatego się weselić będę, że rozdzielę Sychem, a dolinę Sukkot rozmierzę.

God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will I measure out.

8 Mojeć jest Galaad, mój i Manases, a Efraim mocą głowy mojej, Juda zakonodawca mój.

Mine id Gil'ad, and mine is Menasseh; Ephraim also is the strong-hold of my head; of Judah are my chiefs.

9 Moab jest miednicą do umywania mego, na Edoma porzucę obuwie moje: przeciwko Filistynom trąbić będę.

Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 Któż mię zaprowadzi do miasta obronnego? Któż mię przywiedzie aż do ziemi edomskiej?

Who will bring me into the fortified city? who will lead me as far as Edom?

11 Izali nie ty, o Boże! któryś nas był odrzucił, a nie wychodziłeś, o Boże! z wojskami naszemi?

Behold, it is thou, O God, who hast cast us off; and thou, O God, goest not forth with our armies.

12 Dajże nam pomoc z ucisku; albowiem omylna jest pomoc ludzka.

Give us help against the assailant; for vain is the help of man.

13 W Bogu sobie mężnie poczynać będziemy, a on podepcze nieprzyjaciół naszych.

Through God shall we do valiantly; for he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
