< James 4 >

1 From where [come] disputes and (from where *no) quarrels among you? Surely from there, out of the passions of you those warring in the members of you?
Dzinobvepi hondo nekurwa pakati penyu? Hazvibvi apa here, pakuchiva kwenyu kunorwa pamitezo yenyu?
2 You desire and not have; you kill and covet and not are able to obtain; You quarrel and wrangle; Not you have (now *k) because not to ask you;
Munoshuva, asi hamuna chinhu; munouraya uye munoshumba, asi hamugoni kuwana chinhu; munorwa muchiita hondo, asi hamuna chinhu, nokuti hamukumbiri.
3 You ask and not receive, because wrongly you ask, that in the pleasures of you you may spend [it].
Munokumbira, asi hamugamuchiri, nokuti munokumbira zvakaipa, kuti muparadze pakuchiva kwenyu.
4 (adulterers — and *K) Adulteresses! Surely you know that the friendship with the world hostility with God is? Who[ever] (maybe *N+kO) therefore shall choose a friend to be of the world, an enemy of God is appointed.
Imwi mhombwe nemhombwekadzi, hamuzivi here kuti ushamwari hwenyika ruvengo kuna Mwari? Naizvozvo umwe neumwe anoda kuva shamwari yenyika, anova muvengi waMwari.
5 Or think you that in vain the Scripture speaks? With envy yearns the Spirit that (he settled *N+kO) in us,
Kana munofunga kuti rugwaro rwunotaura pasina maturo here kuti: Mweya wakagara mukati medu anochivira godo?
6 Greater however He gives grace; Therefore it says: God [the] proud opposes, to [the] humble however gives grace.
Asi anopa nyasha huru; saka anoti: Mwari anopikisa vanozvikudza, asi anopa nyasha vanozvininipisa.
7 do be subjected therefore to God. do resist (however *no) the devil and he will flee from you,
Naizvozvo muzviise pasi kuna Mwari; pikisai dhiabhorosi, zvino achakutizai.
8 do draw near to God and He will draw near to you. do cleanse [your] hands, [you] sinners, and do purify hearts, [you] double-minded.

9 do be grieved and do mourn and do weep; The laughter of you to mourning (should be turned *N+kO) and the joy to gloom.
Tambudzikai uye chemai uye rirai; kuseka kwenyu ngakushandurwe kuve kuchema, nemufaro uve kusuruvara.
10 do be humbled in the presence of (the *ko) Lord and He will exalt you.
Zvininipisei pamberi paIshe, uye achakusimudzai.
11 Not do speak against one another, brothers; The [one] speaking against [his] brother (or *N+kO) judging the brother of him speaks against [the] Law and judges [the] Law; If however [the] Law you judge, not you are a doer of [the] Law but a judge.
Musareverana zvakaipa, hama. Anorevera hama zvakaipa uye kutonga hama yake, anorevera murairo zvakaipa, nekutonga murairo; zvino kana uchitonga murairo, hausi muiti wemurairo, asi mutongi.
12 One there is Lawgiver (and Judge *NO) who is being able to save and to destroy; You yourself (however *no) who are (you who [are] judging *N+kO) the (neighbour? *N+KO)
Umwe chete ndiye mutemi wemurairo, anogona kuponesa nekuparadza; iwe ndiwe ani anotonga umwe?
13 do come now you who [are] saying; Today (or *N+kO) tomorrow (we will go *N+kO) into such city and (will spend *N+kO) there a year (one *K) and (will trade *N+kO) and (will make a profit; *N+kO)
Uyai ikozvino imwi munoti: Nhasi kana mangwana tichaenda kuguta rekuti, tigogarako gore rimwe, tigotengeserana, tigowana mubairo;
14 [you] who not you know what [is] on the next day [is] What [is] (for *ko) the life of you! A vapor just (you are *N+K+o) for a little [while] appearing then (and *k) also vanishing;
imwi musingazivi zvamangwana. Nokuti upenyu hwenyu chii? Nokuti imhute inoonekwa nguva diki, ipapo ndokunyangarika.
15 Instead [ought] to say you; If the Lord (shall wish *NK+o) both (we will live *N+kO) and (we will do *N+kO) this or that.
Pakuti muti: Kana Ishe achida, tichararamawo, tigoita ichi kana icho.
16 Now however you boast in the arrogance of you; All boasting such evil is.
Asi ikozvino munozvirumbidza pakuzvikudza kwenyu; kuzvirumbidza kwese kwakadai kwakaipa.
17 To [him] knowing therefore good to do and not doing [it], sin to him it is.
