Hebrews 7
1 This for Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, (who *N+kO) having met with Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and having blessed him,
Car c'est ce Melchisédec, roi de Salem, et sacrificateur du Dieu souverain, qui alla au-devant d'Abraham, lorsqu'il revenait de la défaite des rois, et qui le bénit;
2 to whom also a tenth of all apportioned Abraham, first indeed being translated king of righteousness then however also king of Salem, which is king of peace,
A qui aussi Abraham donna la dîme de tout le butin. D'abord, Melchisédec signifie roi de justice, de plus, il était roi de Salem, c'est-à-dire, roi de paix;
3 Without father, without mother, without genealogy, neither beginning of days nor of life end having, made like however as the Son of God he remains a priest unto all time.
Il a été sans père, sans mère, sans généalogie, n'ayant ni commencement de jours, ni fin de vie; rendu semblable au Fils de Dieu, il demeure sacrificateur pour toujours.
4 do consider now how great this one [was], to whom even a tenth Abraham gave out of the best spoils the patriarch.
Or considérez combien est grand celui à qui Abraham le patriarche donna la dîme du butin.
5 And those indeed out from the sons of Levi the priestly office receiving a commandment have to take a tenth from the people according to the law, That is from the brothers of them, though having come out of the loin of Abraham.
Et tandis que ceux d'entre les fils de Lévi, qui exercent la sacrificature, ont l'ordre, selon la loi, de lever la dîme sur le peuple, c'est-à-dire, sur leurs frères, qui cependant sont issus des reins d'Abraham,
6 The [one] however not tracing his ancestry from them he has collected a tenth from Abraham; and the [one who] is having the promises He has blessed.
Lui, qui n'était pas de la même famille qu'eux, il leva la dîme sur Abraham, et bénit celui qui avait les promesses.
7 Apart from now all dispute; the inferior by the superior is blessed.
Or, sans contredit, c'est l'inférieur qui est béni par le supérieur.
8 And here indeed tithes dying men receive in that place however it is testified that he lives on.
Et ici ce sont des hommes mortels qui prélèvent les dîmes; mais là il est attesté que celui qui les reçoit, est vivant.
9 And so a word to speak; through Abraham also Levi the [one] tithes receiving has paid the tithe.
Et Lévi, qui prélève les dîmes, les a aussi payées, pour ainsi dire, par Abraham;
10 Still for in the loin of [his] father he was when he met with him Melchizedek.
Car il était encore dans les reins de son père, lorsque Melchisédec alla au-devant de lui.
11 If indeed then perfection through the Levitical priesthood were — the people for upon (it has received [the] Law — *N+kO) what still need [was there] according to the order of Melchizedek [for] another to arise priest and not according to the order of Aaron to be named?
Si donc la perfection s'était trouvée dans le sacerdoce lévitique (car c'est à celui-ci que se rapporte la loi donnée au peuple), qu'était-il encore besoin qu'il s'élevât un autre Sacrificateur, selon l'ordre de Melchisédec, et non selon l'ordre d'Aaron?
12 When is being changed for the priesthood from necessity also of law a change takes place.
Car le sacerdoce étant changé, il est nécessaire qu'il y ait aussi un changement de loi.
13 [He] concerning whom for are spoken these things to a tribe another has belonged to, from which no [one] has served at the altar.
En effet, celui de qui ces choses sont dites, appartient à une autre tribu, dont aucun membre n'a servi à l'autel.
14 [It is] evident for that out of Judah has sprung the Lord of us as to which a tribe concerning (priests *N+KO) no [thing] Moses spoke.
Car il est évident que notre Seigneur est issu de Juda, tribu de laquelle Moïse n'a rien dit concernant le sacerdoce.
15 And more excessive yet evident it is, if according to the likeness of Melchizedek arises a priest another,
Et cela devient encore plus manifeste, quand il s'élève un autre Sacrificateur selon la ressemblance de Melchisédec,
16 who not according to a law of a commandment (fleshly *N+kO) has been constituted but according to [the] power of a life indestructible;
Qui a été institué, non selon la loi d'une ordonnance charnelle, mais selon la puissance d'une vie impérissable,
17 (It is testified *N+kO) for that You [are] a priest to the age according to the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
Car Il rend ce témoignage: Tu es Sacrificateur pour l'éternité, selon l'ordre de Melchisédec. (aiōn g165)
18 A putting away indeed for there is while is preceding [the] commandment because of its weakness and uselessness —
Ainsi, la première ordonnance a été abolie à cause de sa faiblesse et de son inutilité;
19 no [thing] for perfected the law — [the] introduction then of a better hope through which we draw near to God.
(Car la loi n'a rien amené à la perfection; ) mais une meilleure espérance, par laquelle nous nous approchons de Dieu, a été mise à sa place.
20 And to as much as not apart from an oath.
Et comme Jésus n'a pas été institué sans serment, (car les autres ont été faits sacrificateurs sans serment;
21 those ones truly for without an oath are priests having become, [He] however with an oath through the [One] who is saying to Him: Has sworn [the] Lord and not will change His mind; You [are] a priest to the age (according to the order of Melchizedek; *K) (aiōn g165)
Mais celui-ci l'a été avec serment, par celui qui lui a dit: Le Seigneur a juré, et il ne se repentira point; tu es Sacrificateur pour l'éternité, selon l'ordre de Melchisédec, ) (aiōn g165)
22 By so much (also *no) of a better covenant has become [the] guarantee Jesus.
Jésus est ainsi devenu garant d'une alliance d'autant plus excellente.
23 And those indeed many are having become priests because of by death being prevented from continuing;
Puis, quant aux sacrificateurs, il y en a eu un grand nombre, parce que la mort les empêchait de subsister toujours.
Mais lui, parce qu'il subsiste pour l'éternité, il possède un sacerdoce qui ne passe point. (aiōn g165)
25 wherefore also to save to the uttermost He is able those drawing near through Him to God always living for to intercede for them.
C'est pourquoi aussi il peut sauver parfaitement ceux qui s'approchent de Dieu par lui, étant toujours vivant pour intercéder en leur faveur.
26 Such indeed for us (also *no) was fitting a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and higher than the heavens having become;
Or, il nous fallait un tel souverain Sacrificateur, saint, innocent, sans souillure, séparé des pécheurs, et élevé au-dessus des cieux;
27 who not has every day need as the high priests first for [their] own sins sacrifices to offer up then for those of the people; this for He did once for all Himself having offered up.
Qui n'eût pas besoin, comme les souverains sacrificateurs, d'offrir tous les jours des sacrifices, premièrement pour ses propres péchés, puis pour ceux du peuple; car il a fait cela une fois, en s'offrant lui-même.
28 The law for men appoints as high priests having weakness, the word however of the oath which [is] after the law a Son to the age perfected. (aiōn g165)
Car la loi institue souverains sacrificateurs des hommes soumis à l'infirmité; mais la parole du serment qui a suivi la loi, institue le Fils, qui a été rendu parfait pour l'éternité. (aiōn g165)
