< Acts 10 >

1 A man now certain (was *k) in Caesarea named Cornelius, [was] a centurion of [the] Cohort which is called Italian,
Kwakange kune umwewo murume muKesariya wainzi Koneriyo, mukuru wezana wehondo yainzi yeItaria,
2 devout and fearing God with all the household of him, doing (also *k) alms many to the people and praying to God (through *N+KO) (all [times]; *N+kO)
wakazvipira uye anotya Mwari pamwe neimba yake yese, waiita mabasa erudo mazhinji kuvanhu, nekunyengetera kuna Mwari nguva yese;
3 He saw in a vision clearly as if about hour [the] ninth [hour] of the day an angel of God having come to him and having said to him; Cornelius!
akaona muchiratidzo pachena, neawa rinenge repfumbamwe rezuva, mutumwa waMwari achipinda kwaari, achiti kwaari: Koneriyo!
4 And having looked intently on him and afraid having become he said; What is it, Lord? He said then to him; The prayers of You and the alms of you have ascended as a memorial (before *N+kO) God.
Zvino wakati amutarisisa akatya, akati: Chii, Ishe? Zvino akati kwaari: Minyengetero yako nemabasa ako erudo zvakwira kuva chirangaridzo pamberi paMwari.
5 And now do send men to Joppa and do yourself summon Simon (someone *n+o) who (is called Peter; *NK+o)
Zvino ikozvino tuma varume kuJopa, udane Simoni anonzi Petro;
6 He lodges with a certain Simon a tanner, whose is [the] house by [the] sea (this [one] will tell you what you it behooves to do. *K)
anogara neumwe Simoni musuki wematehwe, imba yake iri parutivi rwegungwa; iye achakuudza zvaunofanira kuita.
7 When then had departed the angel who is speaking (to him, *N+KO) having called two of the servants (of him *k) and a soldier devout of those attending to him,
Zvino mutumwa wakange ataura naKoneriyo wakati abva, wakadana vaviri vevaranda vake vemumba nemurwi wakatendeka pane vaimumirira nguva dzese,
8 and having related all things to them he sent them to Joppa.
zvino wakati arondedzera zvinhu zvese kwavari, akavatuma kuJopa.
9 On the now next day when are journeying (these *NK+o) and to the city are approaching, went up Peter on the housetop to pray about hour [the] sixth.
Zvino chifume ivo vachiri kufamba voswedera muguta, Petro wakakwira pamusoro pedenga reimba kunonyengetera, neawa rinenge rechitanhatu.
10 He became then hungry and was desiring to eat. when were preparing however ([some] of them happened *N+kO) upon him a trance,
Akava nenzara kwazvo, akashuva kudya; asi ivo vakati vachagadzirira, chiyeverwa chikamuwira;
11 and he beholds heaven opened and descending (onto him *K) a vessel certain as a sheet great by four corners (bound and *KO) being let down upon the earth;
ndokuona denga rakazaruka, neumwe mudziyo uchiburukira kwaari, semucheka mukuru, wakasungwa makona mana uchiburusirwa pasi.
12 in which were all the quadrupeds (and the beasts *K) and (the *k) creeping things of the earth and birds of heaven.
Maiva nemhuka dzese dzemakumbo mana dzenyika nemhuka dzesango nezvinokambaira neshiri dzedenga.
13 And came a voice to him: Having risen up Peter, do kill and do eat.
Zvino inzwi rikauya kwaari richiti: Simuka, Petro, baya udye.
14 And Peter said; In no way, Lord; for never I ate anything common (or *N+kO) unclean.
Asi Petro wakati: Aiwa kwete, Ishe; nokuti handina kutongodya chero chinhu chisakachena kana chine tsvina.
15 And a voice [came] again for [the] second time to him: What God has cleansed, you yourself not do call common.
Zvino inzwi rikauyazve kwaari rwechipiri richiti: Mwari chaanatsa, iwe usati chakasviba.
16 This now took place for three times and (immediately *N+KO) was taken up the vessel into heaven.
Zvino izvi zvakaitwa kusvikira katatu; mudziyo ndokukwidzwazve kudenga.
17 While then in himself was perplexed Peter what maybe would be the vision that he had seen, (and *k) behold the men who sent (from *N+kO) Cornelius having inquired for the house of Simon, stood at the gate;
Zvino Petro wakati achakashamiswa maari kuti chiratidzo chaakange aona chairevei, zvino tarira, varume vakange vatumwa kubva kuna Koneriyo, vabvunza imba yaSimoni, vakamira pasuwo,
18 And having called out (they were asking *NK+o) if Simon who is being called Peter here is lodged.

19 And Peter (thinking *N+kO) over the vision said to him the Spirit: Behold men (three *NK+O) (are seeking *N+kO) you;
Zvino Petro achafunga nezvechiratidzo, Mweya wakati kwaari: Tarira, varume vatatu vanokutsvaka.
20 But having risen do go down and do proceed with them nothing doubting, (since *N+kO) I myself have sent them.
Naizvozvo simuka uburuke, uende navo usiri asina chokwadi nechinhu; nokuti ndini ndavatuma.
21 Having gone down then Peter to the men (who sent from Cornelius to him *K) he said; Behold I myself am whom you seek; what [is] the cause for which you are here?
Petro ndokuburukira kuvarume vakange vatumwa kwaari kubva kuna Koneriyo, akati: Tarirai, ndini wamunotsvaka; chikonzeroi chamauyira?
22 And they said; Cornelius a centurion, a man righteous and fearing God being well testified to then by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by an angel holy to send for you to the house of him and to hear declaration from you.
Zvino vakati: Koneriyo mukuru wezana, murume wakarurama neanotya Mwari, anopupurirwa nerudzi rwese rweVaJudha, wakayambirwa naMwari nemutumwa mutsvene kuti akudanirei kumba kwake, uye kuti anzwe mashoko kwamuri.
23 Having called in therefore them he lodged [them]. On the now next day (having risen up *NO) (Peter *K) he went forth with them, and some of the brothers those from Joppa went with him.
Ipapo akavadanira mukati, akavagarisapo. Zvino chifume Petro wakabuda akaenda navo, nedzimwe dzehama dzaibva paJopa dzikamuperekedza.
24 (and *k) On the (now *no) next day (he entered *N+kO) into Caesarea; and Cornelius was expecting them having called together the relatives of him and close friends.
Zvino chifume vapinda Kesariya. NaKoneriyo wakange akavamirira, uye akadanira pamwe chete hama dzake neshamwari dzepedo.
25 as then was entering Peter, having met with him Cornelius having fallen at the feet worshiped [him].
Zvino zvakaitika kuti Petro apinda, Koneriyo akamuchingamidza, akawira patsoka dzake, akamunamata.
26 But Peter lifted up him saying; do rise up; also I myself myself a man am.
Asi Petro wakamusimudza, achiti: Simuka; ini pachangu ndiri munhuwo.
27 And talking with him he entered and he finds having gathered together many,

28 He was saying then to them; You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a man Jewish to unite himself or to come near to [someone] foreign; And to me And to me God has shown nothing common or unclean to call man,
ndokuti kwavari: Imwi munoziva kuti hazvisi pamutemo kumurume ari muJudha kufambidzana kana kuuya kumunhu werumwe rudzi; asi Mwari wandiratidza kuti ndirege kuti munhu haana kunaka kana kuchena;
29 Therefore also without objection I came having been summoned. I inquire therefore, for what reason did you summon me?
naizvozvowo ndauya ndisingapikisi zvandangodanwa. Naizvozvo ndinobvunza, kuti mandidanira chinangwai?
30 And Cornelius was saying; Ago four days until this the hour I was (fasting and *K) at the ninth (hour *k) praying in the house of mine, and behold a man stood before me in apparel bright
Koneriyo ndokuti: Mazuva mana apfuura kusvikira paawa rino ndakange ndichitsanya, neawa repfumbamwe ndakange ndichinyengetera mumba mangu; zvino tarira, murume wakamira pamberi pangu ane nguvo dzinopenya,
31 and said; Cornelius, has been heard your prayer and the alms of you was remembered before God.
ndokuti: Koneriyo, munyengetero wako wanzwikwa, nemabasa ako erudo arangarirwa pamberi paMwari.
32 do send therefore to Joppa and do yourself call for Simon who is called Peter; He lodges in [the] house of Simon a tanner by [the] sea (who having come he will speak to you. *K)
Tumira naizvozvo kuJopa, uye udane Simoni anonzi Petro; iye anogara mumba maSimoni musuki wematehwe parutivi rwegungwa; iye kana auya achataura newe.
33 At once therefore I sent to you, you yourself then well did having come. Now therefore all we ourselves before God are present to hear all the [things] commanded you by the (Lord. *N+KO)
Naizvozvo pakarepo ndatuma kwamuri; zvino imwi maita zvakanaka kuti mauya. Naizvozvo ikozvino tese tiripo pamberi paMwari, kuti tinzwe zvinhu zvese zvamakarairwa naIshe.
34 Having opened then Peter the mouth he said; Of a truth I grasped that not is One who shows partiality God,
Zvino Petro wakashamisa muromo, akati: Zvirokwazvo ndinonzwisisa kuti Mwari haasi musaruri wevanhu;
35 but in every nation which is fearing Him and working righteousness acceptable to Him is.
asi parudzi rupi nerupi uyo anomutya achiita kururama anogamuchirika kwaari.
36 the word that He sent to the sons of Israel evangelising [about] peace through Jesus Christ — He is of all Lord,
Shoko raakatuma kuvana vaIsraeri achiparidza rugare naJesu Kristu (iye ndiIshe wevese).
37 You yourselves know the having come declaration through all Judea, (having begun *N+kO) from Galilee after the baptism that proclaimed John:
Imwi munoziva shoko rakaitika paJudhiya rese, kutanga paGarirea, shure kwerubhabhatidzo Johwani rwaakaparidza;
38 Jesus from Nazareth, how anointed Him God Spirit with Holy and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him;
raJesu weNazareta, kuti Mwari wakamuzodza sei neMweya Mutsvene nesimba, waipfuura, achiita zvakanaka uye achiporesa vese vakamanikidzwa nadhiabhorosi, nokuti Mwari waiva naye.
39 And we ourselves (are *k) witnesses of all things that He did in both the region of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom (also *no) they executed having hanged [Him] on a tree.
Nesu tiri zvapupu zvezvinhu zvese zvaakaita, zvese munyika yeVaJudha nemuJerusarema; iye wavakauraya, nekuremberedza pamuti.
40 This One God raised up (on *n) the third day and gave Him revealed to become
Iye Mwari waakamutsa nezuva retatu, akamupa kuti aonekwe,
41 not [revealed] to all the people, but to [the] witnesses who chosen beforehand by God to us who we ate with and we drank with Him after rising of Him out from [the] dead;
kwete kuvanhu vese, asi kuzvapupu zvakagara zvasarudzwa naMwari, kwatiri taidya nekunwa naye, mushure mekunge amuka kubva kuvakafa.
42 And He instructed us to proclaim to the people and to testify fully that (He *N+kO) is the [One] appointed by God [as] judge of living and dead.
Zvino wakatiraira kuti tiparidze kuvanhu, nekupupura kwazvo kuti ndiye wakagadzwa naMwari kuva mutongi wevapenyu nevakafa.
43 To Him all the prophets bear witness [that] forgiveness of sins receiving through the name of Him everyone who is believing in Him.
Vaporofita vese vanopupura nezvake, kuti nezita rake ani nani anotenda maari achagamuchira kanganwiro yezvivi.
44 Still when is speaking Peter declarations these fell the Spirit Holy upon all those hearing the word.
Petro wakati achataura mashoko awa, Mweya Mutsvene wakaburukira pamusoro pavo vese vakanzwa shoko.
45 And were amazed the from [the] circumcision believers (as many as *NK+O) had come with Peter, that even upon the Gentiles the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out;
Zvino vekudzingiswa vaitenda vakashamisika, vese vakange vauya naPetro, nokuti nepamusoro pevahedheni chipo cheMweya Mutsvene chakange chadururwa;
46 They were hearing for when they are speaking in tongues and magnifying God. Then answered Peter;
nokuti vakavanzwa vachitaura nendimi, vachikudza Mwari. Ipapo Petro akapindura akati:
47 surely not ever the water is able to withhold anyone not to baptize these who the Spirit Holy have received (as *N+kO) also [have] we ourselves?
Kune munhu anogona kurambidza mvura here, kuti ava vasabhabhatidzwa, vakagamuchira Mweya Mutsvene sesuwo?
48 He commanded (now *N+kO) them in the name (of Jesus Christ *NO) to be baptized (of the Lord. *K) Then they asked him to remain days some.
Zvino akaraira kuti vabhabhatidzwe muzita raIshe. Ipapo vakamukumbira kuti agare mamwe mazuva.
