1 Timothy 5
1 An elder not you may rebuke but do exhort [him] as a father, younger [men] as brothers,
Старого не докоряй, а умоляй, як батька, молодших, як братів,
2 elder [women] as mothers, [and] younger [women] as sisters in all purity.
старих жінок, як матїрок, молодших, як сестер, з усякою чистотою.
3 Widows do honor who [are] truly widows.
Удовиць шануй, тих що справді удовицї.
4 If however any widow children or grandchildren has, they should learn first [her] own household to be devout and recompense to give to parents; this for is (good and *K) pleasing before God.
Коли ж котора вдовиця дїти або внучата має, нехай вчять ся перше свій дім благочестиво спорядити і віддячувати родителяя; се бо добре і любо перед Богом.
5 She who [is] now indeed a widow and abandoned she has hope in God and she continues in supplications and in prayers by night and day;
Тая ж справді вдовиця, котора одинока, (та) вповає на Бога і пробував в молитвах і благаннях день і ніч.
6 She however living in self-indulgence [while] living has died.
Котора ж роскошув, та жива - вмерла.
7 Also these things do command, so that above reproach they may be.
І се наказуй, щоб непорочні були.
8 If now anyone [their] own and especially (of the *k) [their] household not (does provide for, *N+kO) the faith he has denied and he is than an unbeliever worse.
Коли ж хто про своїх, а найбільш про домашнїх не промишляв, той відцуравсь віри, і гірший од не вірного.
9 A widow should ld be enrol not less than years [old] sixty having been of one man [the] wife,
Удовицю ж вибирати не меньше лїт шестидесяти; таку щоб була одному мужу жінкою,
10 in works good being borne witness to, if she has brought up children, if she entertained strangers, if saints’ feet she has washed, if to those being oppressed she has imparted relief, if to every work good she has followed after.
в ділах добрих сьвідчена, чи дітей вгодувала, чи людей сторонніх приймала, чи сьвятим ноги вмивала, чи бідолашним помагала, чи до всякого діла доброго щира була.
11 Younger however widows do refuse; when for they may grow wanton against Christ, to marry they desire
Молодих же вдовиць не приймай; бо, розбуявшись проти Христа, схочуть заміж;
12 incurring judgment because the first faith they have cast off;
маючи осуд, що першої віри відцурались.
13 At the same time then also [to be] idle they learn going about house to house. not only then idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking [things] not being proper.
Ще ж без дїла звикають ходити по домах; не тілько ж без дїла, та й довгоязикі і пронозливі, говорять, чого не годить ся.
14 I want therefore [the] younger [ones] to marry, to bear children, to manage their households, no occasion to give to the [one] opposing of reproach because;
Тим хочу, щоб молоді вдовицї йшли заміж, дїтей рожали, домом правили і нїякої причини не давали противному до поговору.
15 Already for some have turned aside after Satan.
Вже бо деякі звернули слїдом за сатаною.
16 If any (faithful or *K) believing [woman] has [dependent] widows, (she should help *NK+o) to them and not should be burdened the church, so that to those [who are] truly widows it may impart relief.
Коли який вірний або вірна має вдовицї, нехай їм помагав, і нехай не, буде тягару для церкви, щоб правдивим удовицям помагати.
17 The well already ruling elders of double honor should be counted worthy especially those straining in [the] word and [the] teaching;
Которі ж пресвитери пильнують добре, нехай удостоять ся двійної чести, найбільше ж ті, що трудять ся в слові і науцї.
18 Says for the Scripture; An ox treading out grain not you will muzzle; and Worthy [is] the workman of the wages of him.
Глаголе бо писаннє: Вола молотячого не заоброчуй; і: Достоїн робітник нагороди своєї.
19 Against an elder an accusation not do receive unless only except upon two or three witnesses.
На пресвитера обвинувачення не приймай, хиба при двох або трьох сьвідках.
20 (now *o) sinning before all do rebuke, so that also the rest fear may have.
Которі ж згрішять, обличай перед усїма, щоб і инші страх мали.
21 I earnestly testify before God and (Lord *K) Christ Jesus and the elect angels that these things you may keep apart from prejudice nothing doing out of partiality.
Заклинаю перед Богом, і Господом Ісус-Христом, і вибраними ангелами, щоб се хоронив без пересуду, нічого не роблячи по привичцї (пристрастї).
22 Hands soon on no one do lay nor do share in [the] sins of others, yourself pure do keep.
Рук скоро не клади нї на кого, анї приставай до чужих гріхів; себе чистим держи.
23 No longer do drink [only] water, but wine a little do use because of the stomach (of you *K) and the frequent of you ailments.
Вже не пий водв, а потроху вина приймай, ради жолудка твого і частих твоїх недугів.
24 Of some men the sins manifest are going before [them] to judgment; of some however also they appear later.
В инших людей гріхи явні, попереджують на суд, а за иншими йдуть слїдом.
25 Likewise also the works good evident (is *k) and even those otherwise being to be concealed not (are able. *N+kO)
Так само й добрі діла наперед явні, тай що инше, утаїтись не може.
