< 1 Corinthians 12 >

1 Concerning now spiritual [gifts], brothers, not I do want you to be ignorant.
Na mo nga mea wairua, e oku teina, kahore ahau e pai kia kuware koutou.
2 You know that (when *NO) pagans you were to idols mute even as maybe you were led being carried away.
E matau ana koutou, i a koutou e Tauiwi ana, he mea kahaki koutou ki nga whakapakoko reokore, me koutou i kahakina ra.
3 Therefore I make known to you that no [one] in [the] Spirit of God speaking says: Accursed [is] (Jesus, *N+kO) and no [one] is able to say: (Lord Jesus [is], *N+kO) only except in [the] Spirit Holy.
Koia ahau ka whakakite nei ki a koutou, e kore tetahi tangata, na te Wairua nei o te Atua ana korero, e ki, He mea kanga a Ihu: e kore ano e taea e tetahi te mea, Ko Ihu te Ariki, ki te kahore te Wairua Tapu.
4 Varieties now of gifts there are, but the same Spirit;
Na, he maha nga wehewehenga o nga mea e homai ana, kotahi ano ia Wairua.
5 and varieties of services there are, but the same Lord;
A he maha nga wehewehenga o nga minitatanga, kotahi ano ia Ariki.
6 and varieties of workings there are, the (but *NK+o) same (is *k) God who is working the all things in everyone.
He maha ano hoki nga tu ahua o nga mahi; kotahi ano ia Atua hei mahi i nga mea katoa i roto i te katoa.
7 To each now is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common profiting.
Otira e homai ana ki tena, ki tena, te whakakitenga a te Wairua hei pai.
8 To one indeed for through the Spirit is given a word of wisdom, to another however a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
E homai ana hoki ki tetahi e te Wairua te kupu whakaaro; ki tetahi atu ko te kupu matau, he mea na taua Wairua ano;
9 to a different one (now *k) faith by the same Spirit, to another now gifts of healing in that (one *N+KO) Spirit,
Ki tetahi atu ko te whakapono, na taua Wairua ra ano; ki tetahi atu ko nga mana whakaora, na taua Wairua ano:
10 to another now working of miracles, to another now prophecy, to another now distinguishing of spirits, to a different one (now *k) various kinds of tongues, to another now interpretation of tongues;
Ki tetahi atu ko nga mahi merekara; ki tetahi atu ko te mahi poropiti; ki tetahi atu ko te matauranga ki nga wairua; ki tetahi atu ko nga reo huhua; ki tetahi atu ko te whakamaoritanga i nga reo:
11 All now these things works the one and the same Spirit apportioning individually to each even as He wills.
Na, ko enei mea katoa, he mea mahi na taua Wairua kotahi ra ano, ko ia hei tuwha i tana e pai ai ki tetahi, ki tetahi.
12 Just as for the body one is and members many has all now the members of the body (of the one *K) many being one are body, so also [is] Christ.
Pera hoki i te tinana e kotahi ana, he tini ano ona wahi, a ko nga wahi katoa o taua tinana kotahi, ahakoa tini, kotahi ano tinana; he pera hoki a te Karaiti.
13 Also for in one Spirit we ourselves all into one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks whether slaves or free, and all (into *k) one Spirit we were made to drink.
Kotahi nei hoki te Wairua i iriiria ai tatou katoa ki roto ki te tinana kotahi, ahakoa nga Hurai, ahakoa nga Kariki, ahakoa herehere, ahakoa rangatira; kotahi tonu te Wairua i whakainumia mai ai tatou katoa.
14 Also for the body not is one member but many.
Ehara hoki te tinana i te wahi kotahi, engari he tini.
15 If shall say the foot; Because not I am a hand, not I am of the body, not on account of this not is it of the body?
Ki te mea te waewae, He teka no te tinana ahau, ehara hoki ahau i te ringa; ehara ma tena e kahore ai ia hei wahi mo te tinana.
16 And if shall say the ear; Because not I am an eye, not I am of the body, not on account of this not is it of the body?
Ki te mea te taringa, He teka no te tinana ahau, ehara hoki ahau i te kanohi; ehara ma tena e kahore ai ia hei wahi mo te tinana.
17 If all the body [were] an eye, where [would be] the hearing? If all [were] hearing, where [would be] the sense of smell?
Mehemea hoki he kanohi te tinana katoa, kei hea te wahi hei whakarongo? Mehemea he whakarongo ta te katoa, kei hea te wahi hei hongi?
18 (now *NK+o) however God has arranged the members, one each of them in the body even as He desired.
Ko tenei, kua oti i te Atua te whakanoho tenei wahi, tenei wahi, ki roto ki te tinana, ana hoki i pai ai.
19 If now were all one member, where [would be] the body?
Mehemea hoki kotahi ano wahi ratou katoa, kei hea te tinana?
20 Now however many indeed [are the] members, [there is] one however body.
Ko tenei, he tini nga wahi, kotahi ano te tinana.
21 Not is able now the eye to say to the hand; Need of you not I have, Or again the head to the feet; Need of you not I have;
E kore hoki te kanohi e ahei te mea ki te ringa, Kahore aku mahi mau: te mahunga ranei ki nga waewae, Kahore aku mahi ma korua.
22 But much rather those seeming members of the body weaker to be indispensable are,
Engari, ko nga wahi o te tinana e kiia ana he ngoikore, nui rawa te mahi ma era;
23 and those which we think less honorable to be of the body, these honor more excessive we bestow, and the unpresentable [parts] of us decorum more excessive have;
Ko nga wahi hoki o te tinana e kiia ana e tatou he iti te honore, nui atu te honore e whakataua iho ana e tatou ki era; nui atu hoki te ataahua ki o tatou wahi marutuna;
24 and the presentable [parts] of us no need have. but God [who] has composed the body to that which (is become lacking *N+kO) more excessive having given honor,
Ko o tatou wahi ataahua ia kahore he aha e meatia ai; heoi he mea huihui marire na te Atua nga wahi o te tinana, he mea whakarite marie, nui atu hoki te honore i hoatu e ia ki te wahi i hapa:
25 so that not there may be (division *N+kO) in the body, but the same for one another may have concern the members;
Kia kore ai he wehewehenga o te tinana; engari kia kotahi tonu te whakaaro o nga wahi mo tetahi, mo tetahi.
26 And (if *NK+o) suffers one member, suffer with [it] all the members; if is honored one member, rejoice with [it] all the members.
A ki te mamae tetahi wahi, mamae tahi ana nga wahi katoa; ki te whakahonoretia tetahi wahi, hari tahi ana nga wahi katoa.
27 You yourselves now are [the] body of Christ and members in particular.
Na, ko koutou te tinana o te Karaiti, he wahi ano nona tenei, tenei.
28 And some indeed has appointed God in the church first apostles, secondly prophets, third teachers, then miracles, (then *N+kO) gifts of healing, helping, administrating, various kinds of tongues.
A kua whakanohoia e te Atua etahi i roto i te hahi, ko nga apotoro ki mua, tuarua ko nga poropiti, tuatoru ko nga kaiwhakaako, muri iho ko nga merekara, me i reira ko nga mana whakaora, ki nga hoa mahi, ko nga kaiwhakahaere tikanga, ko nga reo h uhua.
29 Surely not all [are] apostles? Surely not all [are] prophets? Surely not all [are] teachers? Surely not all [do] miracles?
He apotoro oti katoa? he poropiti oti katoa? he kaiwhakaako katoa? he kaimahi katoa i te merekara?
30 Surely not all gifts have of healings? Surely not all in tongues do speak? Surely not all do interpret?
Kei te katoa oti nga mana whakaora? e korero katoa ana oti i nga reo? he kaiwhakamaori anake ranei?
31 do be desirous of however the gifts (greater. *N+KO) And now according to a more surpassing way to you I show.
Na, whaia nga mea homai papai rawa: tenei ia te ara tino pai rawa, maku e whakaatu ki a koutou.
