Acts 11
1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
А чуше и апостоли и браћа који беху у Јудеји да и незнабошци примише реч Божју.
2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
И кад изиђе Петар у Јерусалим, препираху се с њим који беху из обрезања,
3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
Говорећи: Ушао си к људима који нису обрезани, и јео си с њима.
4 But Peter rehearsed [the matter] from the beginning, and expounded [it] by order unto them, saying,
А Петар почевши казиваше им редом говорећи:
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
Ја бејах у граду Јопи на молитви, и дошавши изван себе видех утвару, где силази суд некакав као велико платно на четири рогља и спушта се с неба, и дође до преда ме.
6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Погледавши у њ опазих и видех четвороножна земаљска, и звериње и бубине и птице небеске.
7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
А чух глас који ми говори: Устани, Петре! Покољи и поједи.
8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
А ја рекох: Нипошто Господе! Јер ништа погано и нечисто никад не уђе у уста моја.
9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, [that] call not thou common.
А глас ми одговори другом с неба говорећи: Шта је Бог очистио ти не погани.
10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
А ово би трипут; и узе се опет све на небо.
11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Cæsarea unto me.
И гле, одмах три човека сташе пред кућом у којој бејах, послани из Ћесарије к мени.
12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:
А Дух ми рече да идем с њима не премишљајући ништа. А дођоше са мном и ово шест браће, и уђосмо у кућу човекову.
13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
И каза нам како виде анђела у кући својој који је стао и казао му: Пошљи људе у Јопу и дозови Симона прозваног Петра,
14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.
Који ће ти казати речи којима ћеш се спасти ти и сав дом твој.
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
А кад ја почех говорити сиђе Дух Свети на њих, као и на нас у почетку.
16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Онда се опоменух речи Господње како говораше: Јован је крстио водом, а ви ћете се крстити Духом Светим.
17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as [he did] unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
Кад им дакле Бог даде једнак дар као и нама који верујемо Господа свог Исуса Христа; ја ко бејах да би могао забранити Богу?
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
А кад чуше ово, умукоше, и хваљаху Бога говорећи: Дакле и незнабошцима Бог даде покајање за живот.
19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
А они што се расејаше од невоље која поста за Стефана, прођоше тја до Финикије и Кипра и Антиохије, ником не говорећи реч до самим Јеврејима.
20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
А неки од њих беху Кипрани и Киринци, који ушавши у Антиохију говораху Грцима проповедајући јеванђеље о Господу Исусу.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
И беше рука Божија с њима; и много их вероваше и обратише се ка Господу.
22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
А дође реч о њима до ушију цркве која беше у Јерусалиму; и послаше Варнаву да иде тја до Антиохије;
23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Који дошавши и видевши благодат Божју, обрадова се, и мољаше све да тврдим срцем остану у Господу;
24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
Јер беше човек благ и пун Духа Светог и вере. И обрати се многи народ ка Господу.
25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
Варнава, пак, изиђе у Тарс да тражи Савла; и кад га нађе, доведе га у Антиохију.
26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
И они се целу годину састајаше онде с црквом, и учише многи народ; и најпре у Антиохији назваше ученике хришћанима.
27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
А у те дане сиђоше из Јерусалима пророци у Антиохију.
28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar.
И уставши један од њих, по имену Агав, објави глад велику која хтеде бити по васионом свету; који и би за Клаудија ћесара.
29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:
А од ученика одреди сваки колико који могаше да пошаљу у помоћ браћи која живљаху у Јудеји.
30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Које и учинише пославши старешинама преко руке Варнавине и Савлове.
