Від Матвія 27
1 Як же настав ранок, зробили раду всі архиєреї й старші людські
When the morning was come, all the chiefe Priests, and the elders of the people tooke counsell against Iesus, to put him to death,
2 і, звязавши Його, повели тай передали Його Понтийському Пилату, ігемонові.
And led him away bounde, and deliuered him vnto Pontius Pilate the gouernour.
3 Тоді, побачивши Юда, зрадник Його, що Його осуджено, розкаяв ся, і вернув трийцять срібняків архиєреям та старшині,
Then when Iudas which betraied him, sawe that hee was condemned, hee repented himselfe, and brought againe the thirtie pieces of siluer to the chiefe Priestes, and Elders,
4 кажучи: Згрішив я, зрадивши кров невинну. Вони ж сказали: Що дам до того? ти побачиш.
Saying, I haue sinned, betraying the innocent bloud. But they sayde, What is that to vs? see thou to it.
5 І, покинувши він срібняки в церкві, вийшов і відійшовши, повісив ся.
And when hee had cast downe the siluer pieces in the Temple, hee departed, and went, and hanged himselfe.
6 Архиєреї ж, взявши срібняки, сказали: Не годить ся класти їх у скарбоню, бо се ціна крові.
And the chiefe Priestes tooke the siluer pieces, and sayde, It is not lawfull for vs to put them into the treasure, because it is the price of bloud.
7 Зробивши ж раду, купили за них ганчарське поле, щоб ховати на йому захожих.
And they tooke counsell, and bought with them a potters fielde, for the buriall of strangers.
8 Через се зветь ся поле се Кріваве Поле по сей день.
Wherefore that field is called, The field of bloud, vntill this day.
9 Тоді справдилось, що сказав Єремія пророк, глаголючи: І взяли вони трийцять срібняків, ціну цїненного, котрого цїнено з синів Ізраїля,
(Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Ieremias the Prophet, saying, And they tooke thirtie siluer pieces, ye price of him that was valued, whom they of ye children of Israel valued.
10 і дали їх на ганчарське поле, як повелїв менї Господь.
And they gaue them for the potters fielde, as the Lord appointed me.)
11 Ісус же стояв перед ігемоном; і питав Його ігемон, кажучи: Чи Ти цар Жидівський? Ісус же рече йому: Ти сказав єси.
And Iesus stood before ye gouernour, and the gouernour asked him, saying, Art thou that King of the Iewes? Iesus said vnto him, Thou sayest it.
12 А, як винуватили Його архиєреї та старші, не відказував нічого.
And when he was accused of the chiefe Priestes, and Elders, he answered nothing.
13 Тоді каже до Него Пилат: Хиба не чуєш, скільки сьвідкують на Тебе?
Then saide Pilate vnto him, Hearest thou not howe many things they lay against thee?
14 І не відказав Він йому нї на одно слово, так що ігемон вельми дивував ся.
But he answered him not to one worde, in so much that the gouernour marueiled greatly.
15 На сьвято ж звик був ігемон одпускати народові одного вязника, которого вони хотіли.
Nowe at the feast, the gouernour was wont to deliuer vnto the people a prisoner whom they would.
16 Мали ж тоді знаного вязника, на прізвище Вараву.
And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 Як же вони зібрались, сказав їм Пилат: Кого хочете, щоб одпустив вам: Вараву, чи Ісуса, на прізвище Христа?
When they were then gathered together, Pilate said vnto the, Whether will ye that I let loose vnto you Barabbas, or Iesus which is called Christ?
18 Знав бо, що через зависть видали Його.
(For he knewe well, that for enuie they had deliuered him.
19 Як же сидів він на судищі, прислала до него жінка його кажучи: Нїчого тобі й праведнику сьому; багато бо терпіла я сьогоднї вві снї через него.
Also when he was set downe vpon the iudgement seate, his wife sent to him, saying, Haue thou nothing to do with that iust man: for I haue suffered many things this day in a dreame by reason of him.)
20 Архиєреї ж і старші наустили народ, щоб випросили Вараву, Ісуса ж убили.
But the chiefe Priestes and the Elders had persuaded the people that they shoulde aske Barabbas, and should destroy Iesus.
21 Озвав ся ж ігемон і рече до них: Кого хочете з двох, щоб випустив вам? Вони ж сказали: Вараву.
Then the gouernour answered, and said vnto them, Whether of the twaine will ye that I let loose vnto you? And they said, Barabbas.
22 Каже до них Пилат: Що ж оце робити му з Ісусом, на призвіще Христом? Кажуть йому всі: Нехай буде рознятий.
Pilate said vnto them, What shall I do then with Iesus, which is called Christ? They all said to him, Let him be crucified.
23 Ігемон же каже: Що бо злого зробив? Вони ж кричали ще гірш: Нехай буде рознятий.
Then saide the gouernour, But what euill hath he done? Then they cryed the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 Бачивши ж Пилат, що нічого не врадить, а ще більш росте буча, взявши води, помив руки перед народом, і каже: Невинен я крові праведника сього; ви побачите.
When Pilate saw that he auailed nothing, but that more tumult was made, he tooke water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this iust man: looke you to it.
25 І, озвавшись увесь народ, сказав: Кров Його на нас і на діти наші.
Then answered all the people, and saide, His bloud be on vs, and on our children.
26 Тоді відпустив їм Вараву; Ісуса ж, побивши, передав, щоб розпято Його.
Thus let he Barabbas loose vnto them, and scourged Iesus, and deliuered him to be crucified.
27 Тоді воїни ігемонові, взявши Ісуса на судище, зібрали на Него всю роту.
Then the souldiers of the gouernour tooke Iesus into the common hall, and gathered about him the whole band,
28 І, роздягнувши Його, накинули на Него червоний плащ;
And they stripped him, and put about him a skarlet robe,
29 і, сплівши вінець із тернини, положили на голову Йому, а тростину в правицю Його; і кидаючись на коліна перед Ним, насьміхались із Него, кажучи: Радуй ся, царю Жидівський!
And platted a crowne of thornes, and put it vpon his head, and a reede in his right hand, and bowed their knees before him, and mocked him, saying, God saue thee King of the Iewes,
30 І, плюючи на Него, брали тростину, й били по голові Його.
And spitted vpon him, and tooke a reede, and smote him on the head.
31 І, як насьміялись із Него, зняли з Него плащ, і надїли на Него одежу Його, й повели Його на розпятє.
Thus when they had mocked him, they tooke the robe from him, and put his owne rayment on him, and led him away to crucifie him.
32 Виходячи ж, знайшли чоловіка Киринейського, на ймя Симона; сього заставили нести хрест Його,
And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, named Simon: him they compelled to beare his crosse.
33 І прийшовши на врочище (місце) Голгота, чи то б сказати Черепове місце,
And when they came vnto the place called Golgotha, (that is to say, the place of dead mens skulles)
34 дали Йому пити оцту, змішаного з жовчю; і, покуштувавши, не хотів пити.
They gaue him vineger to drinke, mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drinke.
35 Розпявши ж Його, поділили одежу Його, кинувши жереб, щоб справдилось, що сказав пророк: Поділили собі шати мої, й на одежу мою кинули жереб.
And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, and did cast lottes, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Prophet, They deuided my garments among them, and vpon my vesture did cast lottes.
36 І, посідавши, стерегли Його там;
And they sate, and watched him there.
37 і прибили над головою Його написану вину Його: Се Ісус, цар Жидівський.
They set vp also ouer his head his cause written, THIS IS IESVS THE KING OF THE IEVVES.
38 Тодї розпято з Ним двох розбійників, одного по правицї, а другого по лївицї.
And there were two theeues crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
39 Мимойдучі ж хулили Його, киваючи головами своїми,
And they that passed by, reuiled him, wagging their heades,
40 і кажучи: Ти, що руйнуєш церкву, й за три днї будуєш її, спаси ся сам. Коли ти Син Божий, зійди з хреста.
And saying, Thou that destroyest ye Temple, and buildest it in three dayes, saue thy selfe: if thou be ye Sonne of God, come downe from ye crosse.
41 Так само ж і архиєреї, насьміхаючись із письменниками та старшими, казали:
Likewise also the hie Priests mocking him, with the Scribes, and Elders, and Pharises, said,
42 Инших спасав, а себе не може спасти. Коли Він царь Ізраїлський, нехай тепер зійде з хреста, й ввіруємо в Него;
He saued others, but he cannot saue him selfe: if he be ye King of Israel, let him now come downe from ye crosse, and we will beleeue in him.
43 Він уповав на Бога; нехай тепер визволить Його, коли хоче Його, казав бо: Я Син Божий.
He trusted in God, let him deliuer him nowe, if he will haue him: for he saide, I am the Sonne of God.
44 Так само й розбійники, що були розпяті з Ним, докоряли Йому.
The selfe same thing also ye theeues which were crucified with him, cast in his teeth.
45 Від шестої ж години настала темрява по всїй землї до години девятої.
Now from ye sixt houre was there darkenesse ouer all the land, vnto the ninth houre.
46 Коло девятої ж години покликнув Ісус великим голосом, глаголючи: Ілі, Ілі лама савахтані; те єсть: Боже мій. Боже мій, чом мене покинув єси?
And about ye ninth houre Iesus cryed with a loud voyce, saying, Eli, Eli, lamasabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Деякі ж, що там стояли, почувши, казали: Що Ілию кличе сей.
And some of them that stoode there, when they heard it, said, This man calleth Elias.
48 І зараз, побігши один із них, і взявши губку, сповнивши оцтом і, настромивши на тростину, поїв Його.
And straightway one of them ran, and tooke a spondge, and filled it with vineger, and put it on a reede, and gaue him to drinke.
49 Останні ж казали: Нехай: побачимо, чи прийде Ілия спасати Його.
Other said, Let be: let vs see, if Elias wil come and saue him.
50 Ісус же, знов покликнувши великим голосом, зітхнув духа.
Then Iesus cryed againe with a loude voyce, and yeelded vp the ghost.
51 І ось завіса церковня роздерлась надвоє од верху до низу, й земля затрусилась, і скелї порозпадались;
And behold, the vayle of the Temple was rent in twaine, from the top to the bottome, and the earth did quake, and the stones were cloue.
52 і гроби порозкривались; і многі тіла сьвятих усопших повставали,
And the graues did open themselues, and many bodies of the Saintes, which slept, arose,
53 і, вийшовши з гробів після воскресення Його, поприходили у сьвятий город, і показались многим.
And came out of the graues after his resurrection, and went into the holy citie, and appeared vnto many.
54 Сотник же да ті, що були з ним і стерегли Ісуса, побачивши трус і те, що сталось, полякались тяжко, кажучи: Справді, Божий Син був сей.
When the Centurion, and they that were with him watching Iesus, saw the earthquake, and the thinges that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truely this was the Sonne of God.
55 Було там багато й жінок, що оддалеки дивились, котрі прийшли слїдом за Ісусом із Галилеї, служачи Йому.
And many women were there, beholding him a farre off, which had folowed Iesus from Galile, ministring vnto him.
56 Між ними була Мария Магдалина, й Мария, мати Яковова та Йосиїна, й мати синів Зеведеєвих.
Among whom was Marie Magdalene, and Marie the mother of Iames, and Ioses, and the mother of Zebedeus sonnes.
57 Як же настав вечір, прийшов чоловік заможний з Ариматеї, на ймя Йосиф, що й сам учив ся в Ісуса.
And when the euen was come, there came a riche man of Arimathea, named Ioseph, who had also himselfe bene Iesus disciple.
58 Сей, приступивши до Пилата просив тіла Ісусового. Тоді Пилат і звелїв оддати тіло.
He went to Pilate, and asked ye body of Iesus. Then Pilate commanded ye body to be deliuered.
59 І взявши тїло Йосиф, обгорнув його плащеницею чистою,
So Ioseph tooke the body, and wrapped it in a cleane linnen cloth,
60 положив його у новім своїм гробі, що висік у скелї; й прикотивши великого каменя до дверей гробу одійшов.
And put it in his new tombe, which he had hewen out in a rocke, and rolled a great stone to the doore of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 Була ж там Мария Магдалина й друга Мария, і сидїли навпроти гроба.
And there was Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie sitting ouer against the sepulchre.
62 Завтрішнього ж дня, що після пятницї, зібрались архиєреї та Фарисеї до Пилата,
Nowe the next day that followed the Preparation of the Sabbath, the hie Priestes and Pharises assembled to Pilate,
63 кажучи: Пане, згадали ми, що той обманщик казав, ще живий: Через три днї встану.
And said, Syr, we remember that that deceiuer saide, while he was yet aliue, Within three dayes I will rise.
64 Звели ж оце стерегти гроба до третього дня, щоб прийшовши ученики Його в ночі, не вкрали Його, й не сказали народові: Устав із мертвих; і буде остання омана гірша первої.
Command therefore, that the sepulchre be made sure vntill the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steale him away, and say vnto the people, He is risen from the dead: so shall the last errour be worse then the first.
65 Сказав же їм Пилат: Маєте сторожу: йдїть забезпечте, як знаєте.
Then Pilate saide vnto them, Ye haue a watch: goe, and make it sure as ye knowe.
66 Вони ж, пійшовши, забезпечили гріб, запечатавши камінь, із сторожею.
And they went, and made the sepulchre sure with the watch, and sealed the stone.
