От Матфея святое благовествование 8
1 Сшедшу же Ему с горы, вслед Его идяху народи мнози.
When Jesus had come down from the hill, large crowds followed him.
2 И се, прокажен пришед кланяшеся Ему, глаголя: Господи, аще хощеши, можеши мя очистити.
Behold, a leper came to him and bowed before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3 И простер руку Иисус, коснуся ему, глаголя: хощу, очистися. И абие очистися ему проказа.
Jesus reached out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing. Be clean.” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.
4 И глагола ему Иисус: виждь, ни комуже повеждь: но шед покажися иереови и принеси дар, егоже повеле (в законе) Моисей, во свидетелство им.
Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to any man. Go on your way, and show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
5 Вшедшу же Ему в Капернаум, приступи к Нему сотник, моля Его
When Jesus had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to him and asked him,
6 и глаголя: Господи, отрок мой лежит в дому разслаблен, люте стражда.
saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed and in terrible pain.”
7 И глагола ему Иисус: Аз пришед изцелю его.
Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 И отвещав сотник, рече (Ему): Господи, несмь достоин, да под кров мой внидеши: но токмо рцы слово, и изцелеет отрок мой:
The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, only say the word and my servant will be healed.
9 ибо аз человек есмь под властию, имый под собою воины: и глаголю сему: иди, и идет: и другому: прииди, и приходит: и рабу моему: сотвори сие, и сотворит.
For I also am a man who is placed under authority, and I have soldiers under me. I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another one, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it.”
10 Слышав же Иисус, удивися, и рече грядущым по Нем: аминь глаголю вам: ни во Израили толики веры обретох.
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those who were following him, “Truly I say to you, I have not found anyone with such faith in Israel.
11 Глаголю же вам, яко мнози от восток и запад приидут и возлягут со Авраамом и Исааком и Иаковом во Царствии Небеснем:
I tell you, many will come from the east and the west, and they will recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 сынове же царствия изгнани будут во тму кромешнюю: ту будет плачь и скрежет зубом.
But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.”
13 И рече Иисус сотнику: иди, и якоже веровал еси, буди тебе. И изцеле отрок его в той час.
Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so may it be done for you.” And the servant was healed at that very hour.
14 И пришед Иисус в дом Петров, виде тещу его лежащу и огнем жегому,
When Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.
15 и прикоснуся руце ея, и остави ю огнь: и воста и служаше ему.
Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and started serving him.
16 Позде же бывшу, приведоша к Нему бесны многи: и изгна духи словом и вся болящыя изцели:
When evening had come, the people brought to Jesus many who were possessed by demons. He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
17 да сбудется реченное Исаием пророком, глаголющим: Той недуги нашя прият и болезни понесе.
In this way was fulfilled that which had been spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, “He himself took our sickness and bore our diseases.”
18 Видев же Иисус многи народы окрест Себе, повеле (учеником) ити на он пол.
Now when Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave instructions to leave for the other side of the Sea of Galilee.
19 И приступль един книжник, рече Ему: Учителю, иду по Тебе, аможе аще идеши.
Then a scribe came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Глагола ему Иисус: лиси язвины имут, и птицы небесныя гнезда: Сын же Человеческий не имать где главы подклонити.
Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
21 Другий же от ученик Его рече Ему: Господи, повели ми прежде ити и погребсти отца моего.
Another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
22 Иисус же рече ему: гряди по Мне и остави мертвых погребсти своя мертвецы.
But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”
23 И влезшу Ему в корабль, по Нем идоша ученицы Его.
When Jesus had entered a boat, his disciples followed him into it.
24 И се, трус велик бысть в мори, якоже кораблю покрыватися волнами: Той же спаше.
Behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But Jesus was asleep.
25 И пришедше ученицы Его возбудиша Его, глаголюще: Господи, спаси ны, погибаем.
The disciples came to him and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are about to die!”
26 И глагола им: что страшливи есте, маловери? Тогда востав запрети ветром и морю, и бысть тишина велия.
Jesus said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea. Then there was a great calm.
27 Человецы же чудишася, глаголюще: кто есть Сей, яко и ветри и море послушают Его?
The men marveled and said, “What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”
28 И пришедшу Ему на он пол, в страну Гергесинскую, сретоста Его два бесна от гроб исходяща, люта зело, яко не мощи ни кому минути путем тем.
When Jesus had come to the other side and to the country of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They were coming out of the tombs and were very violent, so that no traveler could pass that way.
29 И се, возописта глаголюща: что нама и Тебе, Иисусе Сыне Божий? Пришел еси семо прежде времене мучити нас.
Behold, they cried out and said, “What do we have to do with you, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the set time?”
30 Бяше же далече от нею стадо свиний много пасомо.
Now a herd of many pigs was there feeding, not too far away from them.
31 Беси же моляху Его, глаголюще: аще изгониши ны, повели нам ити в стадо свиное.
The demons kept imploring Jesus and saying, “If you cast us out, send us away into that herd of pigs.”
32 И рече им: идите. Они же изшедше идоша в стадо свиное: и се, (абие) устремися стадо все по брегу в море, и утопоша в водах.
Jesus said to them, “Go!” The demons came out and went into the pigs; and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep hill into the sea and they died in the water.
33 Пасущии же бежаша, и шедше во град, возвестиша вся, и о бесною.
Those who had been tending the pigs ran away and they went into the city and reported everything, especially what had happened to the men who had been possessed by demons.
34 И се, весь град изыде в сретение Иисусови: и видевше Его, молиша, яко дабы прешел от предел их.
Behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.
