Gálatas 1
1 [Eu], Paulo, [escrevo esta carta a vocês. Desejo lembrar-lhes que sou ]um apóstolo. Não é porque um grupo de pessoas [me nomeou], nem porque um ser humano [me enviou para ser um apóstolo]. Pelo contrário, foram Jesus Cristo e Deus [nosso ]Pai [celestial, ]que fez com que Jesus se tornasse novamente vivo após ter morrido, que [me nomearam ]e [me ]enviaram par[a ser um apóstolo].
[I], Paul, [write this letter to you. I remind you that I am] an apostle. That is not because a group of people [appointed me], nor because a human being [sent me to be an apostle]. Instead, Jesus Christ and God [our heavenly] Father, who caused Jesus to become alive again after he died, have [appointed and] sent [me to be an apostle].
2 Todos os irmãos crentes [que estão aqui ]comigo [aprovam esta mensagem que estou escrevendo. Estou mandando esta carta ]às congregações [situadas ]na [província ]de Galácia.
All the fellow believers [who are here] with me [approve of this message that I am writing. I am sending this letter] to the congregations that [are] in Galatia [province].
3 [Peço/Oro que ]Deus, nosso Pai, e o Senhor Jesus Cristo possam [ajudar ]vocês bondosamente, fazendo com [que tenham ]paz [no seu interior].
[I pray that] God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ will kindly [help] you and enable [you to have inner] peace.
4 Cristo se ofereceu [como sacrifício ]para que pudesse [tirar a culpa de nossos ]pecados. Ele procedeu assim para poder nos capacitar [para deixar de fazer as coisas más que praticam as pessoas que não o conhecem. Ele fez isso ]porque Deus, que é nosso Pai, assim o quis. (aiōn g165)
Christ offered himself [as a sacrifice] in order that [he might remove the guilt for] our sins. He did that in order that he might enable us to not [do the evil things that people who do not know him] do. [He did this] because God, who is our Father, wanted it. (aiōn g165)
[I pray that people will] praise God forever. (May it be so!/Amen!) (aiōn g165)
6 Estou muito decepcionado [IRO] que, pouco [depois de confiarem em Cristo], vocês estejam se afastando de [Deus], que os escolheu para que [pudessem possuir aquilo que ]Cristo nos proporciona/dá livremente. Também estou decepcionado pelo fato de vocês acreditarem logo em [uma mensagem ]diferente, [que alguns chamam ]“boas notícias”.
I am very disappointed [IRO] that so soon [after you trusted in Christ] you have turned away from [God]. He chose you in order that [you might have what] Christ freely/kindly gives. I am also disappointed that so soon you are believing a different [message which some say is] “good news.”
7 A mensagem deles não é verdadeira. [O que realmente acontece é que ]certos indivíduos estão criando confusão [na mente ]de vocês. Eles desejam transformar a boa mensagem— que Cristo [revelou]/[sobre Cristo]— [e estão criando uma outra mensagem].
Their message is not a true message. [What is happening is that] certain persons are confusing your [minds]. They are desiring to change the good message (that Christ [revealed/about] Christ) [and are creating another message].
8 Mas mesmo que nós (excl) [apóstolos ]ou um anjo do céu lhes contássemos uma mensagem distinta da boa mensagem que lhes contamos [antes], apelo [a Deus ]para ele castigar tal pessoa [para sempre].
But even if we [(exc) apostles] or an angel from heaven would tell you a message that is different from the good message that we told you [before], I [appeal to God] that [he] punish such a person [forever].
9 Como eu lhes disse anteriormente, assim lhes digo uma vez mais: Já que alguém está lhes dizendo [o que alega ser ]uma boa mensagem, mas que é uma mensagem distinta [da boa mensagem ]que eu lhes comuniquei, apelo [a Deus ]para [ele ]destruir essa pessoa.
As I told you previously, so now I tell you this once more: Someone is telling you [what he says is] a good message, but it is a message that is different from [the good message] that I gave you. So I [appeal to God] that [he] severely punish that person.
10 [Eu disse ]isso porque [RHQ] não desejo que os seres humanos me aprovem, [ao contrário daquilo que alguns dizem sobre mim]. É Deus aquele que espero que me aprove. [Especificamente, não digo nem faço ][RHQ] coisas apenas para agradar as pessoas. Se fossem apenas aos seres humanos que eu estivesse tentando impressionar/agradar, eu não seria [simultaneamente ]alguém que serviria [voluntária e integralmente ]a Cristo.
[I said that] because [RHQ] I do not desire that people approve me, [contrary to what some have said about me]. It is God whom I desire to approve me. [Specifically, I do not say and do] [RHQ] things just to please people. If it were still people whom I was trying to please, then I would not be one who [willingly and completely] serves Christ.
11 Meus irmãos crentes, quero que vocês saibam que a mensagem sobre Cristo que está sendo proclamada por mim {que proclamo às pessoas} não foi [criada ]por nenhum indivíduo.
My fellow believers, I want you to know that the message about Christ that I proclaim to people is not one that some person [created/thought up].
12 Não recebi esta mensagem de [um mensageiro ]humano, e não me foi ensinada {nenhum [ser humano ]me ensinou}. Pelo contrário, Jesus Cristo a revelou a mim.
I did not receive this message from a human [messenger], and no [human being] taught it to me. Instead, Jesus Christ revealed it to me.
13 As pessoas já lhes disseram como eu me comportava antigamente, quando [praticava ]a religião judaica. Elas lhes disseram que eu fazia continuamente coisas muito prejudiciais aos grupos de crentes que Deus [estabeleceu ]e que eu tentava destruir aquelas pessoas.
People have told you how I used to behave when [I practiced] the Jewish religion. They told you that I continually did very harmful things to the groups of believers that God [established], and they told you that I tried to get rid of those people.
14 Eu praticava a religião judaica mais assiduamente que muitos [outros judeus ]da minha idade. Eu tentava, com muito mais entusiasmo, convencer outras pessoas a obedecerem às tradições [guardadas ]por meus antepassados.
I practiced the Jewish religion more thoroughly than many [other Jews] who were my age practiced it. I much more enthusiastically tried to get others to obey the traditions that my ancestors [kept].
15 Contudo, antes de eu nascer, [Deus ]me tinha escolhido. Ele me escolheu [para viver eternamente ]de uma maneira que eu nem merecia.
Nevertheless, before I was born, [God] (set me apart/selected me). He chose me [to live eternally], something that I did not deserve.
16 Quando ele quis que eu soubesse que [Jesus ]é Filho dele, para poder comunicar aos outros a mensagem sobre seu Filho nas regiões onde moram os não judeus, eu não me dirigi imediatamente a nenhum ser humano [SYN] para [ganhar mais compreensão dessa mensagem. Eu a recebi diretamente de Cristo]!
He wanted me to know that Jesus is (his Son/the man who is also God), so that I would tell others the message about him in regions where non-Jews live. But I did not immediately go to any human beings [SYN] in order to gain [an understanding of that message. I received it directly from Christ!]!
17 Eu não fui [imediatamente ]a Jerusalém [com esse propósito], para aqueles que eram apóstolos antes de mim. Em vez disso, fui à [região da ]Arábia, [ao deserto]. Mais tarde voltei mais uma vez à [cidade de ]Damasco.
I did not [immediately] leave Damascus and go to Jerusalem [for that purpose] to those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went away to Arabia [region, a desert area]. Later I returned once more to Damascus [city].
18 Então, três anos após [Deus ter-me revelado esta boa mensagem], fui a Jerusalém para me encontrar com Pedro. Mas fiquei [apenas ]quinze dias com ele, [não o suficiente para ele me ensinar a fundo sobre Cristo].
Then three years after [God revealed this good message to me], I went up to Jerusalem in order that I might meet Peter. But I stayed with him for [only] 15 days, [which was not long enough for him to teach me thoroughly about Christ].
19 Vi também o Tiago, irmão de nosso Senhor [Jesus e líder dos crentes lá, mas ]não vi nenhum outro apóstolo.
I also saw James, the brother of our Lord [Jesus and the leader of the believers there, but] I did not see any other apostle.
20 Deus sabe que isto que lhes estou escrevendo é a pura verdade [LIT]!
God knows that what I am writing to you is completely true [LIT]!
21 Após [sair de Jerusalém], fui à [região ]da Síria e à [região ]da Cilícia.
After [I left Jerusalem], I went to [the regions of] Syria and Cilicia.
22 [Naquele tempo, os membros das ]congregações cristãs na [província ]da Judeia ainda não me conheciam [SYN] pessoalmente.
[At that time, people in] the Christian congregations that are in Judea [province] still had not met me [SYN] personally.
23 Eles somente ouviram [outras pessoas falarem várias ]vezes [sobre mim]: “[Paulo], aquele que antigamente nos fazia coisas prejudiciais, está agora contando [a mesma mensagem ]que nós cremos e que antes ele tentava—destruir/obrigar as pessoas a deixarem de acreditar!”
They only heard [others say about me] repeatedly, “[Paul], the one who was formerly doing harmful things to us, is now telling the [same message] which we believe and which formerly he was trying (to destroy/to cause people to stop believing)!”
24 E eles louvavam a Deus por causa [daquilo que me aconteceu].
And they praised God because of [what had happened to] me.
