1 Coríntios 14
1 Vocês devem desejar amar o seu próximo mais [que qualquer outra coisa. ]Vocês devem desejar ardentemente as habilidades que o Espírito [de Deus dá aos cristãos]. Mas devem desejar, acima de tudo, ter a habilidade de anunciar mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus,
You must want to love others more [than you want anything else]. But you should [also] eagerly desire the abilities that [God’s] Spirit [gives to believers]. And you should desire most of all to have the ability to speak messages that come directly from God [MTY].
2 pois os que falam com Deus em línguas [MTY] [que não aprenderam ]não estão falando com os seres humanos. Pelo contrário, eles estão falando [somente ]com Deus. Ninguém entende o que dizem. [Pelo poder do ]Espírito [de Deus ](OU, de dentro do seu próprio Espírito) eles dizem coisas que os outros não sabem.
[I say that] because those who speak messages that come directly from God [are speaking in languages that they and the other believers in the congregation know, and so] they are able to strengthen them [spiritually] and to encourage and comfort them. But those who speak in languages [MTY] [that they have not learned] are not speaking to people. Instead, they are [only] speaking to God. No one understands them. By [the power/guidance of God’s] Spirit (OR, From within [their own] spirit) they speak things that others do not know.
3 Mas aqueles que anunciam mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus estão falando com as pessoas para fortalecê-las [espiritualmente, ]para encorajar e consolá-las.
4 Aqueles que falam em línguas [MTY] [que não aprenderam ]recebem para si mesmos uma bênção, mas aqueles que anunciam mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus proporcionam uma bênção a [todos os cristãos da ]congregação.
Those who speak in languages [that they have not learned] are receiving a blessing for themselves, but those who speak messages that come directly from God are giving a blessing to [all the believers in] the congregation [because they are speaking in a language that the congregation knows].
5 Eu gostaria que todos vocês tivessem a habilidade de falar em línguas [MTY] [que não aprenderam. ]Mas gostaria ainda mais que tivessem a habilidade de anunciar mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus. Se alguém comunicar uma mensagem em uma língua que não aprendeu, não havendo ali ninguém que puder explicar a mensagem, não será tão útil à congregação como anunciar mensagens vindas diretamente de Deus.
I would like you all to have the ability to speak in languages [MTY] [you have not learned]. But I would like even more for you to have the ability to speak messages that come directly from God. People can speak messages in a language that they have not learned, but if there is no one there who can explain the meaning, that situation is not as helpful to the congregation as speaking messages that come directly from God [in the language that the congregation knows].
6 Meus irmãos cristãos, suponham que eu fosse ter com vocês e lhes falasse em uma língua, que nenhum de vocês conhece, [sem lhes explicar o significado da mensagem falada. ]Se eu não lhes dissesse, também, algo que Deus me tivesse revelado, ou alguma mensagem recebida diretamente Dele, ou não lhes ensinasse algo que deveriam saber, com certeza isso não seria/como isso poderia ser [RHQ] de nenhuma/alguma ajuda para vocês!?
My fellow believers, suppose I came and spoke to you in a language that none of you knows [and I did not explain the meaning of what I told you]. Even if I told you something that God had revealed to me, or told you some message that had come directly from him, or taught you something that you needed to know, (that certainly would not help you!/how would that help you?) [RHQ]
7 [As pessoas tocam instrumentos musicais ]sem vida. Tocam flautas, harpas, etc., que produzem sons. Mas se as notas não forem tocadas {se [os músicos ]não tocarem as notas} claramente, ninguém vai poder/como poderia alguém [RHQ] saber qual melodia está sendo tocada {qual melodia estão tocando}!?
[It is like] lifeless [musical instruments], like flutes and harps for example. When they are played, if the notes are not played {if [those playing those instruments] do not play the notes} clearly, no one will know what tune is being played {what tune they are playing}. [RHQ]
8 Se alguém que toca corneta [deseja dar um sinal de alerta para os soldados se prepararem para a batalha, ]os soldados com certeza não vão/de que forma os soldados vão [RHQ] poder se preparar se ele não soar claramente o toque de [alerta para a batalha]!?
If someone playing the trumpet [wants to signal that the soldiers should prepare to fight a battle], [the soldiers] certainly will not get ready if [the call to battle] is not played {he does not play [the call to battle]} clearly. [RHQ]
9 O mesmo acontece com vocês! Se não disserem palavras que os outros conseguem entender, ninguém vai/como poderão [RHQ] saber o que está sendo comunicado {o que vocês estão dizendo}!? [Será como se estivessem ]falando para o ar!
It is the same with you! If you do not speak words that other people can understand, (no one will know what you are saying./how will anyone know what you are saying?) [RHQ] [It will be as though] you are just speaking to the air!
10 Há no mundo muitas e diversas línguas, e todas elas comunicam algum significado [LIT] [às pessoas que entendem as respectivas línguas. ]
There are many different languages in the world, and all of them convey meaning [LIT] [to the people who know those languages].
11 Mas se não entendemos a língua falada por alguém, [é como se o falante ]fosse um estrangeiro para nós, e nós estrangeiros para ele.
But if we do not understand the language that others are speaking, [it will be as though] they are foreigners to us, and we will be foreigners to them.
12 Por isso, [digo-]lhes [o seguinte: ]Já que vocês desejam ardentemente ter as habilidades que o Espírito de Deus concede, procurem [ter e utilizar ]as habilidades que forem de maior ajuda para [todos os cristãos ]da congregação.
So [I say this to] you: Because you are eager to have the abilities that God’s Spirit gives, earnestly desire those abilities that will do the most to help [all the believers in] the congregation.
13 Portanto, aquele que tiver a habilidade de falar numa língua [MTY] [que não aprendeu ]deve orar pedindo que [Deus lhe dê a habilidade ]de explicar o significado — dele está orando, sem ele usar a mente.
So, those who have the ability to speak in languages [MTY] [that they have not learned] should pray that [God will give them the ability to] explain the meaning of what they say.
14 Se orarem numa língua [MTY] [que não aprenderam ], é o Espírito deles que ora, mas eles não empregam a mente.
If they pray in a language [MTY] [that they have not learned], their spirits are praying, but they are not using their minds.
15 Por isso vou lhes dizer/será que vocês sabem [RHQ] o que devemos fazer? [Às vezes, ]podemos orar [usando ]somente nosso Espírito, [em línguas que não aprendemos. E, às vezes, ]devemos orar com a mente, [para pensar nas palavras que estamos pronunciando. Semelhantemente, ]às vezes, podemos cantar empregando somente o nosso Espírito, em línguas que não aprendemos e, às vezes, devemos cantar com a mente, [para pensar nas palavras que estamos cantando.]
So I will tell you [RHQ] what we should do. [At times] we may pray, [using] only our spirits, [in languages we have not learned. And at other times] we should pray using our minds, [thinking about the words that we are praying. Similarly], at times we may sing using only our spirits, using languages that we have not learned, and at other times we should sing using our minds, [thinking about the words that we are singing].
16 Suponha que um de vocês louve a Deus/agradeça a Deus pelo que Ele tem feito empregando somente o seu Espírito [e não a mente. ]Se estiver presente alguém que desconhece [as habilidades que o Espírito de Deus dá aos cristãos, ]ele não vai/como é que ele [RHQ] pode saber quando deve pronunciar o ‘Amém / Assim seja!’?
Suppose that any one of you praises God (OR, thanks God for what he has done), using only your [(sg)] spirit [and not using your mind]. Maybe some people [will be present who] do not know about [the abilities that God’s Spirit gives to believers]. Because they do not know what you are saying, after you thank God, they will not [RHQ] know when to say “Amen!/I agree!”
17 Vocês até podem estar agradecendo a Deus, mas aquela outra pessoa não está recebendo nenhuma ajuda {vocês não estão ajudando aquela outra pessoa}.
You may be thanking God very well, but you are not helping them.
18 Dou graças a Deus, pois falo em línguas [MTY] [que não aprendi ]muito mais que qualquer um de vocês.
I thank God that I speak in languages [MTY] [that I have not learned] more than any of you do.
19 Mas durante os cultos de adoração, [para que os outros possam entender o que estou dizendo, ]prefiro dizer cinco palavras com a mente—para ensinar os outros—do que dizer dez mil palavras em uma língua [MTY] [que não aprendi.]
But during a worship service, [in order that others will understand what I am saying], I would prefer to speak five words using my mind, in order that I may teach others, rather than to speak 10,000 words in a language [MTY] [that is not understood by the congregation].
20 Meus irmãos cristãos, deixem de pensar como criancinhas [sobre estas habilidades que o Espírito de Deus lhes concede. ]Pelo contrário, pensem sobre elas de uma forma madura. Se quiserem ser como criancinhas, façam poucas coisas ruins como as crianças fazem!
My fellow believers, stop being like little children in the way that you think [about these abilities that God’s Spirit gives]. Instead, think about them in a mature way. If you really want to be like little children, do as few wicked things as babies do!
21 [Quando os judeus, há muito tempo, recusaram obedecer a Deus, Ele os advertiu daquilo que iria acontecer quando Ele deixasse que os inimigos deles os castigassem. ]Nas Escrituras está escrito {[o profeta Isaías ]escreveu} o que o Senhor [Deus ]disse a [esse respeito]: [Vou mandar ]pessoas de [terras ]estrangeiras [atacarem a meu povo]. Elas falarão línguas estranhas [DOU]. Vou advertir meu povo, [deixando que isto aconteça, ] Mas, mesmo assim, meu povo não vai prestar atenção àquilo que digo.
[When the Jews long ago refused to obey God, he warned them about what would happen when he allowed their enemies to punish them]. In the Scriptures it is written {[the prophet Isaiah] wrote} what the Lord [God] said [about that], [They didn’t listen to prophets speaking their own language, so I will send] people from foreign [lands to attack] my people. Those foreigners will speak languages that my people do not know [DOU]. [In that way], I will warn my people, but they will still not pay attention to what I say.
22 Se falarmos em línguas [MTY] [que não aprendemos, ]já que quaisquer incrédulos [que estiverem presentes vão se dar conta de que o Espírito de Deus mora realmente entre nós, ]servirá de advertência para eles [da necessidade deles temerem a Deus. ]Mas os cristãos não [precisam de tal advertência. ]
If we speak in languages [MTY] [that we have not learned], unbelievers [who are there will realize that the Spirit of God is truly among us]. That will warn them [that they need to fear God]. But believers do not [need such a warning].
23 Suponhamos que, durante o culto de adoração, todos comecem a falar em línguas [MTY] [que não aprenderam. ]Se entrarem incrédulos ou pessoas que nada sabem [sobre as habilidades que o Espírito de Deus dá aos cristãos, e ouvirem isso, ]eles vão com certeza/é verdade, não é, que vão [RHQ] achar todos vocês loucos!?
Suppose during the worship service everyone started to speak in languages [MTY] [that they have not learned]. If unbelievers or people who do not know [about the abilities that God’s Spirit gives to believers] come in [and hear that], they will surely think that you are crazy. [RHQ]
24 Mas se, enquanto todos vocês cristãos estiverem anunciando mensagens vindas diretamente de Deus, entrar algum incrédulo ou pessoa que não sabe [sobre as habilidades que o Espírito dá, ]tudo que vocês disserem mostrará a esse indivíduo {mostrar-se-á a esse indivíduo pelo que vocês [disserem]} que ele é pecador, e que será castigado [por Deus ]{que [Deus ]vai castigá-lo} [se não abandonar suas práticas ruins. ]
But if an unbeliever or someone who does not know [about those abilities] comes in while all of you believers are [one by one] speaking messages that come directly from God, everything that you [say] will show that person that he is a sinner and that [God] will punish him [if he does not turn from his sinful behavior].
25 Ele vai se dar conta de que [Deus conhece as coisas ruins que ele tem feito, as quais ]as demais pessoas desconhecem. Então ele vai se ajoelhar, adorando a Deus dizendo: “Deus está realmente no meio de vocês”!
He will realize that [God knows the evil things that he has done that], things that other people do not know. Then he will kneel down and worship God and say, “God is truly among you!”
26 Portanto, meus irmãos cristãos, vou lhes dizer/será que sabem [RHQ] o que acho que vocês devem estar fazendo? Ao se reunirem [para adorar a Deus, ]alguns de vocês talvez tenham um hino para cantar. Outros podem ter algo para ensinar [à congregação. ]Outros podem ter, [para comunicar, alguma coisa que Deus ]lhes revelou. Outros podem trazer uma mensagem em uma língua [MTY] [que não aprenderam. ]Outros podem explicar o significado dessas mensagens. Tenham cuidado que tudo seja feito em benefício do amadurecimento espiritual da congregação.
So, my fellow believers, I will tell you [RHQ] what I think that you should be doing. When you come together [to worship God], some of you may have a hymn to sing. Others may have something to teach [the congregation]. Others may have [something to say that God has] revealed to them. Others may give messages in languages [that they have not learned]. Others will explain the meaning of those messages. Make sure that all of these things that you do will make the congregation become more mature spiritually.
27 [Está certo ]que duas, ou no máximo três, pessoas falem em línguas [MTY] [que não aprenderam. ]Mas devem falar uma depois da outra, e alguém deve explicar o significado daquilo que elas acabam de dizer.
[It is all right] if two people, or at the most three people, speak in languages [MTY] [that they have not learned]. But they must speak one at a time, and someone must explain the meaning of what the others have said.
28 Se [aqueles que desejam falar em uma língua que não aprenderam se derem conta ]de não haver [ali presente ]ninguém que possa explicar o significado [daquilo que vão dizer, ]eles não devem falar naquela língua durante o culto. Ao falar naquela língua, eles devem se dirigir pessoalmente a Deus, em outro lugar.
If [those who want to speak in a language that they have not learned realize that] there is no one [there] who will be able to explain the meaning [of what they will say], they should not speak in that language during the meeting. Instead, they should speak to God by themselves, [somewhere else].
29 [Durante o culto], duas ou três pessoas devem anunciar mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus, e os outros ali presentes devem pensar com cuidado naquilo que essas pessoas disserem.
[During a meeting], two or three people should speak messages that come directly from God, and others who are there should think carefully about what those people have said.
30 Se uma nova mensagem for revelada [por Deus ]{Se alguém receber diretamente de Deus uma nova mensagem} enquanto outra pessoa estiver falando, aquele que fala deve deixar de falar [e permitir que a outra pessoa explique o que Deus tiver revelado a ela. ]
If someone receives a new message directly from God while someone else is speaking, the one who is speaking should stop speaking [and let the other person tell what God has revealed to him].
31 Todos vocês podem falar, um por um, anunciando mensagens vindas diretamente de Deus para ensinarem aos outros e para serem encorajados {encorajar todo mundo}.
You can all, one by one, speak messages that have come directly from God, in order that you can teach others and all be encouraged {encourage everyone}.
32 Aqueles que anunciam mensagens vindas diretamente de Deus controlam seu próprio Espírito, [portanto podem aguardar a sua vez de falar. ]
Those who speak messages that come directly from God are in control of their own spirits, [so they can wait for their turn to speak].
33 Lembrem- se de que Deus não quer que, [durante os cultos de adoração, ]as coisas sejam feitas de uma forma desordenada. Pelo contrário, Ele quer que tudo seja feito de uma forma ordenada/pacífica. Assim como nas demais congregações dos cristãos,
Remember that God does not desire that things be done in a disorderly way [during your worship services]. Instead, he desires that everything be done in an orderly way. Just like it happens in all the other congregations of believers,
34 as mulheres não devem {não se permite que as mulheres} [interromper/interrompam o culto ]com suas [perguntas]. Elas devem guardar em silêncio. Devem ficar sujeitas [aos seus maridos. ]Aquilo que Moisés escreveu [PRS] [sobre como Deus criou os seres humanos, no começo de tudo, ] sugere [que as mulheres devam proceder assim. ]
the women should not be permitted {do not permit the women} [to interrupt the meeting by] asking [questions]. They must keep quiet. They must be subject [to their husbands]. What Moses wrote [PRS] [about how God created the first two people] suggests [that the women should do that].
35 Se elas quiserem saber mais sobre algo [dito por um pregador, ]devem perguntar ao marido ao voltarem para casa, pois é vergonhoso às mulheres [interromperem o culto com tais perguntas. ]
If they want to know [more] about something [that a speaker said], they should ask their husbands when they get home, for it is disgraceful for women to [interrupt a service by] asking [such questions].
36 [Se vocês não concordam com isto que lhes digo, ]lembrem-se de que [RHQ] a mensagem de Deus não veio primeiro de vocês [coríntios]. Também, vocês não foram / será que vocês foram [RHQ] os únicos que a ouviram!? [Muitos outros ouviram e aceitaram essa mensagem, portanto vocês devem proceder como os cristãos procedem em outros lugares. ]
[If you do not agree with these things that I have been telling you], remember that [RHQ] the message from God did not first come from you [people in Corinth]. Also, you are not [RHQ] the only ones who have heard it! [Many others have heard it and accepted it, so you should not act as though you are the only believers who have heard the message from God].
37 Se algum de vocês acha que tem a habilidade de anunciar mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus, ou pensa que tem qualquer outra habilidade concedida pelo Espírito [de Deus, ]ele deve se dar conta de que as coisas sobre as quais tenho escrito nesta carta são mandamentos do Senhor.
Those of you who think that you have the ability to speak messages that come directly from God, or think that you have some other ability [that God’s] Spirit gives, should realize that the things that I have written about in this letter are things that the Lord has commanded.
38 Mas se ele não estiver disposto a aceitar [minha autoridade, ]ele mesmo não será aceito {[Deus ]não vai aceitá-lo}.
But if they are not willing to accept [my authority], [God] will not accept them (OR, they will not be accepted [by the congregation]).
39 Portanto, meus irmãos cristãos, estejam sempre dispostos e ávidos para anunciar mensagens que vêm diretamente de Deus, e não proíbam que alguém fale em uma língua [que não aprendeu. ]
So, my fellow believers, be eager to speak messages that come directly from God, and do not prevent anyone from speaking in a language [that he has not learned].
40 Tenham cuidado [para que, durante os cultos de adoração, ]tudo que fizerem seja feito de uma forma apropriada e bem ordenada.
But make sure [that] everything that you do [during the worship services] is done in a proper and orderly way.
