مزامیر 75

۱ 1 برای سالار مغنیان بر لاتهلک. مزمور و سرود آساف تو را حمد می‌گوییم! ای خدا تو راحمد می‌گوییم! زیرا نام تو نزدیک است و مردم کارهای عجیب تو را ذکر می‌کنند.

To the Chief Musician. "Do not Destroy." A Melody of Asaph, a Song. We have given thanks unto thee, O God, we have given thanks, And, in calling upon thy Name, men have recounted thy wonders.

۲ 2 هنگامی که به زمان معین برسم براستی داوری خواهم کرد.

Surely I will take a set time, —I, with equity, will judge:

۳ 3 زمین و جمیع ساکنانش گداخته شده‌اند. من ارکان آن را برقرار نموده‌ام، سلاه.

Earth was melting away with all its inhabitants, I, have fixed the pillars thereof. (Selah)

۴ 4 متکبران را گفتم: «فخر مکنید!» و به شریران که «شاخ خود را میفرازید.

I have said to the boasters, Do not boast, And to the lawless, Do not lift up a horn;

۵ 5 شاخهای خود را به بلندی میفرازید. و با گردن کشی سخنان تکبرآمیز مگویید.»

Do not lift up on high your horn, Nor speak of the Rock, with arrogance;

۶ 6 زیرا نه از مشرق و نه از مغرب، و نه ازجنوب سرافرازی می‌آید.

For neither from east nor west, Nor from the wilderness of the mountains [cometh exaltation];

۷ 7 لیکن خدا، داور است. این را به زیر می‌اندازدو آن را سرافراز می‌نماید.

For, God himself, is about to judge, One, he will cast down, Another, he will lift up;

۸ 8 زیرا در دست خداوند کاسه‌ای است و باده آن پرجوش. ازشراب ممزوج پر است که از آن می‌ریزد. و امادردهایش را جمیع شریران جهان افشرده، خواهند نوشید.

For, a cup, is in the hand of Yahweh, Whose wine is foaming, It is full of spiced wine, Which he hath caused to flow from one to another, —Surely, the dregs thereof, they shall drain out—they shall drink, Even all the lawless ones of the earth.

۹ 9 و اما من، تا به ابد ذکر خواهم کرد و برای خدای یعقوب ترنم خواهم نمود.

But, I, will exult unto times age-abiding, I will sing praises unto the God of Jacob;

۱۰ 10 جمیع شاخهای شریران را خواهم برید و اماشاخهای صالحین برافراشته خواهد شد.

But, all the horns of the lawless, will I hew off, —Exalted shall be the horns of the Righteous One.
