۱ 1 سرود درجات از داود شادمان می‌شدم چون به من می گفتند: «به خانه خداوند برویم.»

A song of degrees, or Psalme of David. I rejoiced, when they sayd to me, We wil go into the house of the Lord.

۲ 2 پایهای ما خواهد ایستاد، به اندرون دروازه های تو، ای اورشلیم!

Our feete shall stand in thy gates, O Ierusalem.

۳ 3 ‌ای اورشلیم که بنا شده‌ای مثل شهری که تمام با هم پیوسته باشد،

Ierusalem is builded as a citie, that is compact together in it selfe:

۴ 4 که بدانجااسباط بالا می‌روند، یعنی اسباط یاه، تا شهادت باشد برای اسرائیل و تا نام یهوه را تسبیح بخوانند.

Whereunto the Tribes, euen the Tribes of the Lord go vp according to the testimonie to Israel, to prayse the Name of the Lord.

۵ 5 زیرا که در آنجا کرسیهای داوری بر پاشده است، یعنی کرسیهای خاندان داود.

For there are thrones set for iudgement, euen the thrones of the house of Dauid.

۶ 6 برای سلامتی اورشلیم مسالت کنید. آنانی که تو را دوست می‌دارند، خجسته حال خواهندشد.

Pray for the peace of Ierusalem: let them prosper that loue thee.

۷ 7 سلامتی در باره های تو باشد، و رفاهیت درقصرهای تو.

Peace be within thy walles, and prosperitie within thy palaces.

۸ 8 به‌خاطر برادران و یاران خویش، می‌گویم که سلامتی بر تو باد.

For my brethren and neighbours sakes I will wish thee now prosperitie.

۹ 9 به‌خاطرخانه یهوه خدای ما، سعادت تو را خواهم طلبید.

Because of the House of the Lord our God, I will procure thy wealth.
