< Salamo 74 >

1 Maskila nataon’ i Asafa.
A maskil of Asaph. Why, O God, have you spurned us forever? Why smokes your wrath against the sheep of your pasture?
2 Tsarovy ny fiangonanao izay efa azonao fahiny, ilay navotanao ho firenena lovanao, dia ny tendrom-bohitra Ziona izay nonenanao.
Remember the community you purchased of old to become by redemption the tribe of your heritage, Zion, the mountain you made your home.
3 Aingao ny tongotrao, ka miakara ho amin’ ny voarava mandrakizay; ny zavatra rehetra tao amin’ ny fitoerana masìna dia simban’ ny fahavalo avokoa.
Rouse yourself, visit its ruins complete. In the temple the foe has made havoc of all things.
4 Nierona tao anatin’ ny fiangonanao ny mpandrafy anao; nanangana ny sainany ho famantarana izy.
Like lions your enemies roared through your house, replacing our symbols by signs of their own,
5 Ny fijery azy dia tahaka ny olona manainga famaky hijinja ny ala mikitroka;
hacking, like woodsmen who lift axes on thickets of trees,
6 Ary amin’ izao ny rafitra misoratra rehetra ao dia asiany ny famaky sy ny kanonta.
smashing with hatchets and hammers all of its carved work together.
7 Efa nandoro ny fitoeranao masìna tamin’ ny afo izy; nolotoiny sy nazerany tamin’ ny tany ny fonenan’ ny anaranao.
They have set your temple on fire, to the very ground they have outraged the place where lives your name.
8 Hoy izy tam-pony: aoka hampahorintsika avokoa izy. Efa nandoro ny tranon’ Andriamanitra eran’ ny tany rehetra izy.
They have said in their heart, “Let us utterly crush them.” They have burned all the houses of God in the land.
9 Tsy hitanay ny famantaranay tsy misy mpaminany intsony ary tsy misy aminay mahalala izay mbola haharetan’ izao.
No symbol of ours do we see any more: no prophet is there any more, none is with us who knows how long.
10 Mandra-pahoviana, Andriamanitra ô, no hanaratsian’ ny mpandrafy? Hanamavo ny anaranao mandrakizay va ny fahavalo?
How long, O God, is the foe to insult? Shall the enemy spurn your name forever?
11 Nahoana no mampihemotra ny tananao, dia ny tananao ankavanana, Hianao? mampialà azy amin’ ny tratranao, ka mandringàna.
Why, O Lord, do you hold back your hand, why keep your right hand in the folds of your robe?
12 Fa Andriamanitra no Mpanjakako hatrizay hatrizay; manao famonjena eny amin’ ny tany Izy.
Yet God is our king from the ancient days, in the midst of the earth working deeds of salvation.
13 Nampisaraka ny ranomasina tamin’ ny herinao Hianao; efa namakivaky ny lohan’ ny dragona tao anaty rano Hianao.
It was you who did cleave the sea by your might, and shatter the heads of the ocean monsters.
14 Hianao nanorotoro ny lohan’ ny mamba ka nanome azy hohanin’ izay firenena any an-efitra.
It was you who did crush many-headed Leviathan, and give him as food to the beasts of the wilderness.
15 Hianao namaky ny vatolampy hamoaka loharano sy ony; Hianao nahatankina ny ony tsy mety ritra.
It was you who did cleave the fountains and torrents; it was you who did dry the perennial streams.
16 Anao ny andro, Anao koa ny alina; Hianao namboatra ny fanazavana, indrindra fa ny masoandro.
Yours is the day; yours, too, is the night, it was you who did establish the sun and the star.
17 Hianao nametra ny faritry ny tany rehetra; ny fahavaratra sy ny ririnina, dia Hianao no nanao azy.
It was you who did fix all the borders of earth: summer and winter it’s you who have made them.
18 Tsarovy izao: Manaratsy an’ i Jehovah ny fahavalo, ary ny olona adala manamavo ny anaranao.
Yet, for all this, the foe has insulted you, Lord, and a nation of fools has reviled your name.
19 Aza manolotra ny ain’ ny voromailalanao ho an’ ny bibi-dia; ary aza manadino mandrakizay ny ain’ ny olo-mahantranao.
Do not give your dove to the beasts, do not forget your afflicted forever.
20 Hevero ny fanekena; fa feno fonenan’ ny fandozana ny fitoera-maizina amin’ ny tany.
Look to the sleek ones – how full they are: the dark places of earth are the dwellings of violence.
21 Aoka tsy hiverina amin-kenatra ny mahantra; aoka ny ory sy ny malahelo hidera ny anaranao.
O let not the downtrodden turn back ashamed: let the poor and the needy sing praise to your name.
22 Mitsangàna, Andriamanitra ô, efao ny adinao; tsarovy ny fanaratsian’ ny adala Anao isan’ andro.
Arise, God, and defend your cause: remember how fools all the day insult you.
23 Aza manadino ny feon’ ny rafinao, dia ny fitabataban’ ny mpanohitra Anao, izay miakatra mandrakariva.
Do not forget the uproar of your enemies, the din of your foes that ascends evermore.
