Giobbe 19

1 E GIOBBE rispose, e disse:

Bvt Iob answered, and said,

2 Infino a quando addoglierete voi l'anima mia, E mi triterete con parole?

Howe long will yee vexe my soule, and torment me with wordes?

3 Già dieci volte voi mi avete fatta onta; Non vi vergognate voi di procedere [così] stranamente meco?

Ye haue now ten times reproched me, and are not ashamed: ye are impudent toward mee.

4 Ma pure, [sia così] certamente che io abbia fallito, Il mio fallo dimorerà meco.

And though I had in deede erred, mine errour remaineth with me.

5 Se pur volete innalzarvi sopra a me, [E volete] rimproverarmi il mio vituperio,

But in deede if ye will aduance your selues against me, and rebuke me for my reproche,

6 Sappiate ora che Iddio mi ha sovvertito, E ch'egli mi ha intorniato della sua rete.

Know nowe, that God hath ouerthrowen me, and hath compassed me with his net.

7 Ecco, io grido violenza, e non sono esaudito; Io sclamo, e non [mi si fa] ragione.

Beholde, I crie out of violence, but I haue none answere: I crie, but there is no iudgement.

8 Egli ha abbarrata la mia via sì che io non posso passare; Ed ha poste le tenebre sopra i miei sentieri.

Hee hath hedged vp my way that I cannot passe, and he hath set darkenesse in my paths.

9 Egli mi ha spogliato della mia gloria, E [mi] ha tolta la corona del mio capo.

Hee hath spoyled mee of mine honour, and taken the crowne away from mine head.

10 Egli mi ha disfatto d'ogn'intorno, sì che io me ne vo via; Ed ha fatta dileguar la mia speranza, come quella di un albero;

He hath destroyed mee on euery side and I am gone: and he hath remoued mine hope like a tree.

11 Ed ha accesa la sua ira contro a me, E mi ha reputato per [uno de]' suoi nemici.

And he hath kindled his wrath against me, and counteth mee as one of his enemies.

12 Le sue schiere son venute tutte insieme, E si hanno spianata la via contro a me, E si sono accampate intorno al mio tabernacolo.

His armies came together, and made their way vpon me, and camped about my tabernacle.

13 Egli ha allontanati d'appresso a me i miei fratelli; I miei conoscenti si son del tutto alienati da me.

He hath remooued my brethre farre from me, and also mine acquaintance were strangers vnto me.

14 I miei prossimi se ne son rimasti, Ed i miei conoscenti mi hanno dimenticato.

My neighbours haue forsaken me, and my familiars haue forgotten me.

15 I miei famigliari, e le mie serventi, mi tengono per istraniero; Io paio loro un forestiere.

They that dwel in mine house, and my maydes tooke me for a stranger: for I was a stranger in their sight.

16 Io chiamo il mio servitore, ed egli non risponde, [Quantunque] io lo preghi di mia bocca.

I called my seruant, but he would not answere, though I prayed him with my mouth.

17 Il mio fiato è divenuto stranio alla mia moglie, Benchè io [la] supplichi per li figliuoli del mio ventre.

My breath was strange vnto my wife, though I prayed her for the childrens sake of mine owne body.

18 Fino a' piccoli fanciulli mi disdegnano; [Se] io mi levo, sparlano di me.

The wicked also despised mee, and when I rose, they spake against me.

19 Tutti i miei consiglieri segreti mi abbominano; E quelli che io amava si son rivolti contro a me.

All my secret friends abhorred me, and they whome I loued, are turned against me.

20 Le mie ossa sono attaccate alla mia pelle ed alla mia carne; E non mi è rimasto altro di salvo che la pelle d'intorno a' miei denti.

My bone cleaueth to my skinne and to my flesh, and I haue escaped with the skinne of my teeth.

21 Abbiate pietà di me, abbiate pietà di me, o voi amici miei; Perciocchè la mano del Signore mi ha toccato.

Haue pitie vpon me: haue pitie vpon me, (O yee my friendes) for the hande of God hath touched me.

22 Perchè mi perseguitate voi come Iddio, E non vi saziate della mia carne?

Why do ye persecute me, as God? and are not satisfied with my flesh?

23 Oh! fosser pur ora scritti i miei ragionamenti! Oh! fosser pure stampati in un libro!

Oh that my wordes were nowe written! oh that they were written euen in a booke,

24 Oh! fossero in sempiterno intagliati con uno scarpello di ferro E con del piombo, sopra un sasso!

And grauen with an yron pen in lead, or in stone for euer!

25 Ora, quant'è a me, io so che il mio Redentore vive, E che nell'ultimo [giorno] egli si leverà sopra la polvere;

For I am sure, that my Redeemer liueth, and he shall stand the last on the earth.

26 [E quantunque], dopo la mia pelle, questo [corpo] sia roso, Pur vedrò con la carne mia Iddio;

And though after my skin wormes destroy this bodie, yet shall I see God in my flesh.

27 Il quale io vedrò, gli occhi miei [lo] vedranno, e non un altro; Le mie reni si consumano in me.

Whome I my selfe shall see, and mine eyes shall beholde, and none other for me, though my reynes are consumed within me.

28 Anzi dovreste dire: Perchè lo perseguitiamo noi? Poichè la radice della parola si ritrova in me.

But yee sayde, Why is hee persecuted? And there was a deepe matter in me.

29 Temiate della spada; Perciocchè il supplicio dell'iniquità [è] la spada; Acciocchè sappiate che [vi è] un giudicio.

Be ye afraide of the sworde: for the sworde will be auenged of wickednesse, that yee may knowe that there is a iudgement.
