Matthaeus 8
1 Als er aber vom Berge herabgestiegen war, folgten ihm viele Volkshaufe.
Nowe when he was come downe from the mountaine, great multitudes followed him.
2 Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam, fiel vor ihm nieder, und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, so kannst du mich reinigen.
And loe, there came a Leper and worshipped him, saying, Master, if thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.
3 Und Jesus streckte die Hand aus, rührte ihn an, und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald war sein Aussatz gereinigt.
And Iesus putting foorth his hand, touched him, saying, I will, be thou cleane: and immediatly his leprosie was clensed.
4 Und Jesus sagt zu ihm: Siehe zu, sage es Niemand, sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester, und opfere die Gabe, die Moses vorgeschrieben hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
Then Iesus saide vnto him, See thou tell no man, but goe, and shewe thy selfe vnto the Priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a witnesse to them.
5 Als er aber nach Kapernaum gekommen war, kam ein Hauptmann zu ihm, der bat ihn,
When Iesus was entred into Capernaum, there came vnto him a Centurion, beseeching him,
6 Und sprach: Herr, mein Knecht liegt zu Hause gichtbrüchig, und ist schrecklich geplagt.
And saide, Master, my seruant lieth sicke at home of the palsie, and is grieuously pained.
7 Und Jesus sagt ihm: Ich will kommen, und ihn heilen.
And Iesus saide vnto him, I will come and heale him.
8 Und der Hauptmann antwortete, und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach kommst, sondern sprich nur ein Wort, und mein Knecht wird geheilt werden.
But the Centurion answered, saying, Master, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come vnder my roofe: but speake the worde onely, and my seruant shall be healed.
9 Denn auch ich bin ein abhängiger Mensch, habe jedoch Soldaten unter mir, und sage ich zu diesem: gehe hin! so geht er, und zu einem anderen: komm! so kommt er, und zu meinem Knecht: tue das! so tut er´s.
For I am a man also vnder the authoritie of an other, and haue souldiers vnder me: and I say to one, Goe, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he commeth: and to my seruant, Doe this, and he doeth it.
10 Da das Jesus hörte, verwunderte er sich, und sprach zu denen, die ihm nachfolgten: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, nicht einmal in Israel habe ich solchen Glauben gefunden.
When Iesus heard that, he marueiled, and said to them that folowed him, Verely, I say vnto you, I haue not found so great faith, euen in Israel.
11 Aber ich sage euch: Viele vom Morgen und vom Abend werden kommen, und zu Tische liegen mit Abraham und Isaak und Jakob, in der Himmelsherrschaft.
But I say vnto you, that many shall come from the East and West, and shall sit downe with Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, in the kingdome of heauen.
12 Aber die Söhne der Gottesherrschaft werden hinausgeworfen werden, in die Finsternis draußen, woselbst Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein wird.
And the children of the kingdome shall be cast out into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, und wie du geglaubt hast, so geschehe dir! Und sein Knecht ward geheilt in jener Stunde.
Then Iesus saide vnto the Centurion, Goe thy way, and as thou hast beleeued, so be it vnto thee, And his seruant was healed the same houre.
14 Und als Jesus in das Haus des Petrus kam, sah er dessen Schwiegermutter am Fieber darniederliegen.
And when Iesus came to Peters house, he sawe his wiues mother layed downe, and sicke of a feuer.
15 Und er rührte ihre Hand an, und das Fieber verließ sie, und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
And he touched her hande, and the feuer left her: so she arose, and ministred vnto them.
16 Als es aber Abend geworden war, brachten sie zu ihm viele Besessene, und er trieb die Geister aus durchs Wort, und heilte alle, die sich übel befanden;
When the Euen was come, they brought vnto him many that were possessed with deuils: and he cast out the spirits with his worde, and healed all that were sicke,
17 Damit erfüllt würde das gesagt ist durch den Propheten Jesaias, der da spricht: "Er nahm unsere Krankheiten und trug unsere Gebrechen fort."
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Esaias the Prophet, saying, He tooke our infirmities, and bare our sickenesses.
18 Da aber Jesus viele Volkshaufen um sich sah, befahl er ans jenseitige Ufer zu fahren.
And when Iesus sawe great multitudes of people about him, he commanded them to goe ouer the water.
19 Und es kam ein Schriftgelehrter herbei, der sagte ihm: Lehrer, ich folge dir, wohin du auch gehst.
Then came there a certaine Scribe, and said vnto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoeuer thou goest.
20 Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel des Himmels Nester, der Menschensohn aber hat nicht, wo er das Haupt hinlege.
But Iesus saide vnto him, The foxes haue holes, and the birdes of the heauen haue nestes, but the Sonne of man hath not whereon to rest his head.
21 Ein anderer seiner Jünger sagte ihm: Herr erlaube mir, zuerst hinzugehen, und meinen Vater zu begraben.
And another of his disciples saide vnto him, Master, suffer me first to goe, and burie my father.
22 Jesus aber sagte ihm: Folge mir nach, und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben.
But Iesus said vnto him, Followe me, and let the dead burie their dead.
23 Und als er in das Boot stieg, folgten ihm seine Jünger nach.
And when he was entred into ye ship, his disciples followed him.
24 Und siehe, ein großes Ungstüm entstand auf dem See, daß das Boot von den Wellen bedeckt war; er aber schlief.
And beholde, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the ship was couered with waues: but he was a sleepe.
25 Und es kamen seine Jünger herzu, weckten ihn, und sprachen: Herr, hilf wir sterben!
Then his disciples came, and awoke him, saying, Master, saue vs: we perish.
26 Und er sagte ihnen: Kleingläubige, warum seid ihr verzagt? Dann stund er auf, bedrohte die Winde und den See, und es ward eine große Windstille.
And he said vnto them, Why are ye fearefull, O ye of litle faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea: and so there was a great calme.
27 Die Leute aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was für einer ist dieser, daß auch die Winde und der See ihm gehorchen?
And the men marueiled, saying, What man is this, that both the windes and the sea obey him!
28 Und als er am jenseitigen Ufer angekommen war, im Gebiet der Gadarener, begegneten ihm zwei Besessene, welche aus den Felsengräbern herauskamen, und sehr bösartig waren, so daß niemand jenes Wegs gehen konnte.
And when he was come to the other side into ye countrey of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with deuils, which came out of the graues very fierce, so that no man might goe by that way.
29 Und siehe, sie schrien, und sprachen: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen? Sohn Gottes! Bist du hierher gekommen, vor der Zeit uns zu quälen?
And beholde, they cryed out, saying, Iesus the sonne of God, what haue we to do with thee? Art thou come hither to tormet vs before ye time?
30 Es war aber fern von ihnen eine große Herde Schweine, welche weidete.
Nowe there was, afarre off from them, a great heard of swine feeding.
31 Die Dämonen baten ihn, und sprachen: Wenn du uns austreibst, so sende uns in die Herde Schweine.
And the deuils besought him, saying, If thou cast vs out, suffer vs to goe into the heard of swine.
32 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Fahret hin! Die aber fuhren aus, und fuhren in die Schweine. Und siehe, die ganze Herde stürzte den Abhang hinunter in den See, und kamen um im Gewässern.
And he said vnto them, Go. So they went out and departed into the heard of swine: and beholde, the whole heard of swine ranne headlong into the sea, and died in the water.
33 Die Hirten aber flohen, und gingen hin in die Stadt, und verkündigten alles, auch was mit den Besessenen geschehen war.
Then the heardmen fled: and when they were come into the citie, they tolde all things, and what was become of them that were possessed with the deuils.
34 Und siehe, die ganze Stadt ging hinaus, Jesus zu begegnen, und als sie ihn sahen, baten sie ihn, daß er von ihren Grenzen wiche.
And beholde, all ye citie came out to meete Iesus: and when they sawe him, they besought him to depart out of their coastes.
