Psalm 55
1 Dem Musikmeister, mit Saitenspiel, ein Maskil von David. Vernimm, o Gott, mein Gebet und verbirg dich nicht vor meinem Flehn!
To the choirmaster with stringed instruments a poem of David. Give ear to! O God prayer my and may not you hide yourself from supplication my.
2 Merke auf mich und erhöre mich; ich schweife umher in meiner Klage und seufze
Pay attention! to me and answer me I am restless in complaint my and I am distraught.
3 ob des Lärmens der Feinde, wegen des Geschreis der Gottlosen; denn sie wälzen Unheil auf mich und befeinden mich grimmig.
From [the] sound of an enemy because of [the] pressure of [the] wicked for they drop on me wickedness and in anger they are hostile to me.
4 Mein Herz windet sich in meinem Innern, und Todesschrecken haben mich befallen.
Heart my it trembles within me and [the] terrors of death they have fallen on me.
5 Furcht und Zittern kommt mich an, und Schauder bedeckt mich.
Fear and trembling it comes on me and it has covered me shuddering.
6 Da sprach ich: O, hätte ich Flügel, wie die Tauben, so wollte ich davonfliegen und irgendwo bleiben!
And I said who? will he give [will belong] to me wing[s] like dove I want to fly away and I want to settle down.
7 Ja, fernhin wollte ich schweben, wollte in der Wüste weilen. (Sela)
Here! I want to be far away [surely] to flee I want to lodge in the wilderness (Selah)
8 Schleunig wollte ich entrinnen vor dem Toben der Windsbraut, vor dem Wetter!
I want to make haste a place of escape of me from a wind rushing from a storm.
9 Vernichte, Herr, zerteile ihre Zunge; denn ich sehe Gewaltthat und Hader in der Stadt.
Confuse O Lord divide tongue their for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Tag und Nacht umkreisen sie sie auf ihren Mauern, und Unheil und Mühsal ist in ihrem Innern.
By day and night they go around it on walls its and wickedness and trouble [are] in midst its.
11 Verderben ist in ihr, und Bedrückung und Trug weichen nicht von ihrem Markte.
Destruction [are] in midst its and not it departs from public square its oppression and deceit.
12 Denn nicht ein Feind lästert mich - das wollte ich ertragen -, nicht einer, der mich haßt, thut groß wider mich - vor ihm wollte ich mich bergen -,
For not an enemy he taunts me and I may endure not [one who] hates me on me he magnified himself then I may hide myself from him.
13 sondern du, ein Mensch meinesgleichen, mein Freund und mein Vertrauter,
And you a man according to value my close friend my and acquaintance my.
14 die wir süße Gemeinschaft miteinander pflogen, im Hause Gottes unter der Volksmenge wandelten.
Who together we made sweet counsel in [the] house of God we walked about in a crowd.
15 Der Tod überfalle sie; mögen sie lebendig in die Unterwelt hinabfahren! Denn Bosheit ist in ihren Wohnungen, in ihrem Herzen. (Sheol h7585)

16 Ich will zu Gott rufen, und Jahwe wird mir helfen.
I to God I will call out and Yahweh he will save me.
17 Abends und Morgens und Mittags will ich klagen und jammern, so wird er meine Stimme hören.
Evening and morning and noon I will complain and I may murmur and he heard voice my.
18 Er erlöst und versetzt mich in Frieden, daß sie nicht an mich können, denn gar viele waren wider mich.
He will ransom in peace life my from battle to me for many [people] they are with me.
19 Gott wird hören und wird ihnen antworten als der von Urzeit thront, (Sela) bei denen es keinen Wechsel gab, und die Gott nicht fürchten.
He will hear - God - and he will answer them and [the one who] sits antiquity (Selah) whom not changes [belong] to them and not they fear God.
20 Er legte Hand an die, die in Frieden mit ihm lebten, entweihte seinen Bund.
He stretched out hands his on allies his he violated covenant his.
21 Glatt sind die Butterworte seines Mundes, und Krieg sein Herz. Seine Worte sind linder als Öl und sind doch gezückte Schwerter.
They were smooth - [the] creamy things of mouth his and [was] war heart his they were soft words his more than oil and they [were] drawn swords.
22 Wirf deine Bürde auf Jahwe, der wird dich versorgen; er wird den Frommen nicht für immer wanken lassen.
Cast on Yahweh - burden your and he he will sustain you not he will permit for ever to shake to the righteous.
23 Du aber, o Gott, wirst sie in die tiefste Grube hinabstürzen; die Blutgierigen und Falschen werden ihr Leben nicht auf die Hälfte bringen. Ich aber vertraue auf dich!
And you O God - you will bring down them - to [the] pit of [the] pit people of blood and deceit not they will divide in half days their and I I will trust in you.
