Psalm 147

1 Rühmet Jah, denn er ist gütig; lobsingt unserem Gott, denn er ist lieblich; es ziemt sich Lobgesang.

Praise Yahweh - for [is] good to sing praises to God our for [is] pleasant [is] fitting praise.

2 Jahwe baut Jerusalem wieder auf, er sammelt die Versprengten Israels.

[is] [the] builder of Jerusalem Yahweh [the] banished [ones] of Israel he gathers.

3 Er heilt, die zerbrochenes Herzens sind, und verbindet ihre Wunden.

Who [is] healing [the people] broken of heart and [he is] binding up wounds their.

4 Er bestimmt den Sternen eine Zahl, er ruft sie alle mit Namen.

[he is] counting [the] number Of the stars to all of them names he calls.

5 Groß ist unser Herr und reich an Macht; seine Einsicht ist ohne Maß.

[is] great Lord our and great of power to understanding his there not [is] a number.

6 Jahwe hält die Gebeugten aufrecht, erniedrigt die Gottlosen bis auf den Boden.

[is] relieving Humble [people] Yahweh [is] bringing low wicked [people] to [the] ground.

7 Singt Jahwe mit Danksagung, lobsingt unserem Gott auf der Zither!

Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving make music to God our with a harp.

8 Der den Himmel mit Wolken bedeckt, der Erde Regen bereitet, die Berge Gras sprossen läßt,

Who covers [the] heavens - with clouds who prepares for the earth rain who causes to sprout mountains grass.

9 der dem Vieh sein Futter giebt, den jungen Raben, die zu ihm schreien.

[who] gives To animal[s] food its to [the] young ones of a raven which they call out.

10 Er hat nicht Lust an der Stärke des Rosses, noch an den Schenkeln des Mannes Gefallen.

Not in [the] strength of horse he delights not in [the] legs of man he takes pleasure.

11 Jahwe hat Gefallen an denen, die ihn fürchten, die auf seine Gnade harren.

[is] taking pleasure in Yahweh [those] fearing him those [who] hope for covenant loyalty his.

12 Preise Jahwe, Jerusalem; rühme deinen Gott, o Zion!

Extol O Jerusalem Yahweh praise God your O Zion.

13 Denn er hat die Riegel deiner Thore fest gemacht, deine Kinder in dir gesegnet.

For he has strengthened [the] bars of gates your he has blessed children your in midst your.

14 Er schafft deinen Grenzen Frieden, sättigt dich mit dem besten Weizen.

The [one who] makes territory your peace [the] best of wheat he satisfies you.

15 Er sendet sein Gebot auf Erden; gar schnell läuft sein Wort.

The [one who] sends word his [the] earth to quickly it runs word his.

16 Er spendet Schnee wie Wolle, streut Reif wie Asche.

The [one who] gives snow like wool frost like ash[es] he scatters.

17 Er wirft sein Eis wie Bissen hin; wer kann vor seinem Froste bestehen?

[the one who] throws Ice his like crumbs before coldness his who? will he stand.

18 Er entsendet sein Wort und läßt sie schmelzen, läßt seinen Wind wehen, da rinnen Wasser.

He sends word his and he melts them he makes blow wind his they flow waters.

19 Er that Jakob sein Wort kund, Israel seine Satzungen und Rechte.

[the one who] declares (Words his *QK) to Jacob decrees his and judgments his to Israel.

20 Keinem Volk hat er also gethan und seine Rechte lehrte er sie nicht. Rühmet Jah!

Not he has done thus - for any nation and judgments not they have known them praise Yahweh.
