Psalm 123

1 Wallfahrtslieder. Zu dir erhebe ich meine Augen, der du im Himmel thronst.

2 Fürwahr, wie die Augen der Knechte auf die Hand ihres Herrn, wie die Augen der Magd auf die Hand ihrer Herrin, so sind unsere Augen auf Jahwe, unseren Gott, gerichtet, daß er uns gnädig sei.

Here! like [the] eyes of slaves [which are] to [the] hand of master their like [the] eyes of a female slave [which are] to [the] hand of mistress her so eyes our [are] to Yahweh God our until that he will show favor to us.

3 Sei uns gnädig, Jahwe, sei uns gnädig, denn wir sind der Verachtung gründlich satt!

Show favor to us O Yahweh show favor to us for much we have been surfeited contempt.

4 Gründlich satt ist unsere Seele des Hohns der Sicheren, der Verachtung der Stolzen.
