2 Timothy 3
1 But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come.

2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Porque los hombres serán amadores de sí mismos y del dinero, jactanciosos, soberbios, maldicientes, desobedientes a sus padres, ingratos, impíos,
3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good,
inhumanos, desleales, calumniadores, incontinentes, despiadados, enemigos de todo lo bueno,
4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
traidores, temerarios, hinchados, amadores de los placeres más que de Dios.
5 holding a form of godliness but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.
Tendrán ciertamente apariencia de piedad, mas negando lo que es su fuerza. A esos apártalos de ti.
6 For some of these are people who creep into houses and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
Porque de ellos son los que se infiltran en las casas y se ganan mujerzuelas cargadas de pecados, juguetes de las más diversas pasiones,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
que siempre están aprendiendo y nunca serán capaces de llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.
8 Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith are rejected.
Así como Jannes y Jambres resistieron a Moisés, de igual modo resisten estos a la verdad; hombres de entendimiento corrompido, réprobos en la fe.
9 But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.
Pero no adelantarán nada, porque su insensatez se hará notoria a todos como se hizo la de aquellos.
10 But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,
Tú, empero, me has seguido de cerca en la enseñanza, en la conducta, en el propósito, en la fe, la longanimidad, la caridad, la paciencia;
11 persecutions, and sufferings—those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. The Lord delivered me out of them all.
en las persecuciones y padecimientos, como los que me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, en Iconio, en Listra; persecuciones tan grandes como sufrí, y de todas las cuales me libró el Señor.
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Y en verdad todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús serán perseguidos.
13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
Por su parte, los hombres malos y los embaucadores irán de mal en peor, engañando y engañándose.
14 But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.
Pero tú persevera en lo que has aprendido y has sido confirmado, sabiendo de quienes aprendiste,
15 From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,
Toda la Escritura es divinamente inspirada y eficaz para enseñar, para convencer ( de culpa ), para corregir y para instruir en justicia,
17 that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, bien provisto para toda obra buena.
