< Mark 16 >

1 And when ye saboth daye was past Mary Magdalen and Mary Iacobi and Salome bought odures that they myght come and anoynt him.
And when the shabath had passed Mariam Magdalitha and Mariam, (the mother) of Jacub and Shaloom, bought aromatics, and came to anoint him.
2 And erly in the morninge the nexte daye after the saboth day they came vnto the sepulcre when the sunne was rysen.
BUT in the morning of the first day in the week, they came to the sepulchre when the sun had risen,
3 And they sayd one to another: who shall rolle vs awaye the stone from the dore of the sepulcre?
and they said between themselves, Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the sepulchre?
4 And when they looked they sawe how the stone was rolled awaye: for it was a very greate one.
And they looked and saw that the stone was rolled away, for it was very great.
5 And they went into the sepulcre and sawe a yonge man syttinge on the ryght syde cloothed in a longe whyte garmet and they were abasshed.
And they went into the sepulchre, and saw a youth sitting on the right. And he was clothed in a white robe. And they were astonished.
6 And he sayd vnto the be not afrayed: ye seke Iesus of Nazareth which was crucified. He is rysen he is not here. Beholde the place where they put him.
But he said to them, Fear not! Jeshu Natsroia you seek, he who was crucified, he has risen; he is not here. Behold the place where he lay.
7 But go youre waye and tell his disciples and namely Peter: he will goo before you into Galile: there shall ye se him as he sayde vnto you.
But go, tell his disciples and Kipha that, behold, he goeth before you into Galila; there shall you see him as he told you.
8 And they went oute quickly and fleed from the sepulcre. For they trembled and were amased. Nether sayd they eny thinge to eny man for they were afrayed.
And when they had heard, they fled, and went forth from the sepulchre, for astonishment and tremor had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) When Iesus was rysen the morow after ye saboth daye he appered fyrst to Mary Magdalen oute of whom he cast seven devyls.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) But in the morning of the first day of the week he arose, and was first seen by Mariam Magdalitha, she who had seven devils cast out from her.
10 And she wet and toolde them that were with him as they morned and weapte.
And she went and declared to them who were with her, who mourned and wept.
11 And when they herde that he was alyve and he had appered to hyr they beleved it not.
And they, when they had heard what they told, that he lived and had appeared to them, believed them not.
12 After that he appered vnto two of them in a straunge figure as they walked and went into the country.
After these things he appeared to two of them in another fashion as they walked and went to a village.
13 And they went and toolde it to the remnaunt. And they beleved them nether.
And they went and told the rest, neither did they believe.
14 After that he appered vnto the eleve as they sate at meate: and cast in their tethe their vnbelefe and hardnes of herte: be cause they beleued not them which had sene him after his resurreccio.
BUT afterward he appeared to the eleven as they reclined, and he reproved the littleness of their faith and the hardness of their heart, because those who had seen that he had arisen they had not believed.
15 And he sayd vnto them: Goo ye in to all the worlde and preache the glad tyges to all creatures
And he said to them, Go into all the world, and proclaim my gospel to every creature:
16 he that beleueth and is baptised shall be saved. But he that beleveth not shalbe dampned.
He who believeth and is baptized is saved; and he who believeth not is condemned.
17 And these signes shall folowe them that beleve: In my name they shall cast oute devyls and shall speake with newe tonges
And these signs shall follow those who believe: In my name they shall cast out devils, and with new tongues shall they speak;
18 and shall kyll serpentes. And yf they drinke eny dedly thinge yt shall not hurte the. They shall laye their hondes on ye sicke and they shall recover.
and serpents they shalt take up; and if the poison of death they drink, it shall not hurt them; and their hands shall they lay upon the sick, and they shall be healed.
19 So then when the lorde had spoken vnto them he was receaued into heauen and is set doune on the ryght honde of God.
But Jeshu our Lord, after he had spoken with them, unto the heavens ascended, and sat on the right hand of Aloha.
20 And they went forth and preached every where. And the Lorde wrought with them and confirmed the worde with miracles that folowed.
And they went forth and preached in every place, and our Lord helped them, and confirmed their words by the signs which they wrought.
