< 1 Corinthians 8 >

1 To speake of thinges dedicate vnto ydols we are sure that we all have knowledge. knowledge maketh a man swell: bnt love edifieth.
Tuh myiqawl a venawh bulnaak awk a ai akawng kqawn lah sih: cyihnaak ni ta boeih uhy tice ni sim uhy. Cyihnaak ve oek qu poepa hy, cehlai lungnaak ingtaw taai sak hy.
2 If eny man thinke that he knoweth eny thinge he knoweth nothynge yet as he ought to knowe.
Sim hawh nyng ak ti ing a sim hly kawi ce sim tang tang hlan hyn hy.
3 But yf eny man love god the same is knowen of him.
Cehlai Khawsa ak lungnaak thlang taw Khawsa ing anih ce sim hy.
4 To speake of meate dedicat vnto ydols we are sure that ther is none ydoll in the worlde and that ther is none other god but one.
Cawhtaw, myiqawl bawknaak awh bulnaak na ami nawn buh a an awh: Khawmdek awh myiqawl bawknaak ve kawna awm am awm nawh Khawsa awm pynoet doeng ni a awm, tice ni sim uhy.
5 And though ther be yt are called goddes whether in heven other in erth (as ther be goddes many and lordes many)
Ikawtih khawmdek ingkaw khawk khan awh khawsa tinawh amik khy awm hlai hy (“khawsa” khawzah awm nawh “Bawipa” khawzah awm pai hlai hy)
6 yet vnto vs is there but one god which is the father of whom are all thinges and we in him: and one lorde Iesus Christ by whom are all thinges and we by him.
ningnih aham taw Khawsa pynoet doeng ni a awm, anih taw Pa, anih a ven awhkawng ik-oeih boeih ce law nawh anih aham ningnih ve ni hqing uhy, Bawipa awm pynoet doeng ni a awm, anih taw Jesu Khrih ni, anih ak caming ik-oeih boeih law nawh, anih ak caming ningnih awm ni awm uhy.
7 But every man hath not knowledge. For some suppose that ther is an ydoll vntyll this houre and eate as of a thinge offered vnto ye ydole and so their consciences beynge yet weake are defyled.
Cehlai u ingawm ve ve am sim hy. Thlang pynoet taw myiqawl bawknaak ce ak kawk khuiawh a awm hyn dawngawh bulnaak buh a an ami ai awh ce, a mik kawpoek tha ama awm dawngawh, amak ciimcaih na awm hawh hy.
8 Meate maketh vs not acceptable to god. Nether yf we eate are we ye better. Nether yf we eate not are we the worsse.

9 But take hede that youre libertie cause not ye weake to faule.
Cehlai na ngaihdingnaak ce tha amak awm khqing bahnaak na ama awm thainaak aham ngaihta lah uh.
10 For yf some man se ye which hast knowledge sit at meate in the ydoles teple shall not the conscience of hym which is weake be boldened to eate those thinges which are offered vnto ye ydole?
Nangmih vawhkaw cyihnaak ak takhqi ing myiqawl bawknaak bawkim awhkaw awk a ai nami ai ce poeknaak thai amak ta thlang ing a ni huh awhtaw, myiqawl bawknaak awhkaw bulnaak buh a an ce ai ngaihnaak kawlung am ta hly nawh nu?
11 And so thorow thy knowledge shall ye weake brother perisshe for whom christ dyed.
Nang a cyihnaak ing, vawhkaw tha amak awm koeinaa, Khrih ing anih aham thi hlai hy, him hawh hy.
12 Whe ye synne so agaynst the brethren and wounde their weake consciences ye synne agaynst Christ.
Vemyihna koeinaa ak khanawh na thawlh awh cekkhqi a simnaak tha amak awm ce maa sak hawh hyk ti, cedawngawh Khrih ak khanawh thawlh hawh hyk ti.
13 Wherfore yf meate hurt my brother I will eate no flesshe whill the worlde stondeth because I will not hurte my brother. (aiōn g165)
