Matthew 22
1 And answering Jesus again spoke in parables to them saying;
Zvino Jesu wakapindura akataurazve kwavari nemifananidzo, achiti:
2 Has become like the kingdom of the heavens to a man a king who made a wedding feast for the son of him.
Ushe hwekumatenga hwakafananidzwa neumwe mambo, wakaitira mwanakomana wake mutambo wemuchato;
3 And he sent the servants of him to call those invited to the wedding feast, and not they were willing to come.
akatuma varanda vake kunodana vakange vakokwa kumuchato, asi havana kuda kuuya.
4 Again he sent other servants saying; do say to those invited; Behold the dinner of mine (I have prepared, *N+kO) the oxen of Mine and the fatlings killed, and all things [are] ready; come to the wedding feast.
Akatuma zvekare vamwe varanda, achiti: Udzai vakakokerwa muti: Tarirai, ndagadzira chisvusvuro changu, nzombe dzangu nezvakakora zvabaiwa, uye zvinhu zvese zvagadzirwa; uyai kumuchato.
5 And having paid no attention they went away, (that [one] *N+kO) indeed to [his] own field, (that [one] *N+kO) however (to *N+kO) the business of him;
Asi havana kuzvikoshesa, vakaenda, umwe kumunda wake pachake, umwe kukutengeserana kwake;
6 And the rest having laid hold of the servants of him mistreated and killed [them].

7 (and *o) (having heard *k) Now the king (that *k) was angry, and having sent the armies of him he destroyed the murderers those and the city of them he burned.
Zvino mambo wakati azvinzwa, wakatsamwa, akatuma hondo dzake, akaparadza mhondi idzo, akapisa guta ravo.
8 Then he says to the servants of him; The indeed wedding feast ready is, those however invited not were worthy.
Zvino akati kuvaranda vake: Muchato wagadzirwa, asi vakange vakokwa vakange vasina kufanira.
9 do go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as (if *N+kO) you shall find, do invite to the wedding feast.
Naizvozvo, endai kumharadzano dzenzira, mukokere kumuchato vese vamunowana.
10 And having gone out the servants those into the highways they brought together all (as many as *N+kO) they found, evil both and good; and became full the (wedding hall *NK+O) of those reclining.
Varanda avo vakabudira kunzira, vakaunganidza vese nekuwanda kwevavakawana, zvese vakaipa nevakanaka; imba yemuchato ikazara nevagere pakudya.
11 Having entered in then the king to see those reclining he saw there a man not being dressed himself in clothes of wedding
Zvino mambo wakati achipinda kuzoona vagere pakudya, akaona ipapo munhu asina kupfeka chipfeko chemuchato;
12 and he says to him; Friend, how did you enter here not having garment of wedding? And he was speechless.
akati kwaari: Shamwari, wapinda sei pano usina chipfeko chemuchato? Akashaya remuromo.
13 Then the king said to the servants; Having bound his feet and hands (do take and *KO) do cast out him into the darkness outer; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
Zvino mambo akati kuvaranda: Musungei makumbo nemaoko, mumubvise, mukandire kurima rekunze kwekupedzisira; apo pachava nekuchema nekugeda-geda kwemeno.
14 Many for are called, few however chosen.
Nokuti vazhinji vakadanwa, asi vashoma vanosanangurwa.
15 Then having gone out the Pharisees counsel took how Him they may trap in His words.
Zvino VaFarisi vakaenda vakanorangana kuti vangamuteya sei pakutaura.
16 And they send to Him the disciples of them with the Herodians (saying; *NK+o) Teacher, we know that true You are and the way of God in [the] truth You teach, and not there is care to You about no [one], not for You look on [the] appearance of men.
Vakatuma kwaari vadzidzi vavo vane VaHerodhe, vachiti: Mudzidzisi, tinoziva kuti ndimwi wechokwadi, uye munodzidzisa nzira yaMwari muchokwadi, musingarangariri zvemunhu, nokuti hamutariri chimiro chevanhu.
17 do tell therefore us what You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?
Naizvozvo tiudzei: Munofungei? Zvinotenderwa kupa Kesari mutero here, kana kwete?
18 Having known however Jesus the malice of them He said; Why Me do you test, hypocrites?
Asi Jesu wakaziva kuipa kwavo, akati: Munondiidzirei, vanyepedzeri?
19 do show Me the coin of the tribute. And they presented to Him a denarius.
Ndiratidzei mari yemutero. Vakamuvigira dhenario.
20 And He says to them; Of whom [is] likeness this And [of whom is] the inscription?
Zvino akati kwavari: Mufananidzo uyu nechinyorwa ndezvani?
21 They say to Him; Of Caesar. Then He says to them; do give back therefore the [things] of Caesar to Caesar and the [things] of God to God.
Vakati kwaari: ZvaKesari. Ipapo akati kwavari: Naizvozvo dzorerai kuna Kesari zvinhu zvaKesari, nekuna Mwari zvinhu zvaMwari.
22 And having heard they marveled, and having left Him they went away.
Vakati vanzwa vakashamisika, vakamusiya, vakaenda.
23 On that [very] day came to Him Sadducees (those *k) saying not being a resurrection and they questioned Him
Nezuva iro kwakauya kwaari VaSadhusi, avo vanoti hakuna kumuka, vakamubvunza,
24 saying; Teacher, Moses said; If anyone shall die not having children, will marry the brother of him the wife of him and he will raise up offspring for the brother of him.

25 There were now among us seven brothers. and the first having married died, and not having seed he left the wife of him to the brother of him;
Paiva pakati pedu nevanakomana vemunhu umwe vanomwe; wekutanga akawana mukadzi, akafa; uye asina mbeu, akasiya mukadzi wake kumunin'ina wake.
26 Likewise also the second and the third until the seventh.

27 Finally then of all died (and *ko) the woman.
Pakupedzisira kwevese mukadzi akafawo.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven will she be wife? All for had her.
Zvino pakumuka, achava mukadzi waani pavanomwe? Nokuti vese vakava naye.
29 Answering now Jesus said to them; You err not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
Jesu ndokupindura, akati kwavari: Munorasika, musingazivi magwaro, kana simba raMwari;
30 In for the resurrection neither do they marry nor (are given in marriage *N+kO) but like angels (of God *KO) in heaven they are.
nokuti pakumuka havawanani, havawaniswi; asi vakaita sevatumwa vaMwari kudenga.
31 Concerning now the resurrection of the dead surely you have read that which has been spoken to you by God saying;
Asi maererano nekumuka kwevakafa, hamuna kuverenga here zvakataurwa kwamuri naMwari, achiti:
32 I myself am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?’ Not He is the God (God *k) of [the] dead but of [the] living.
Ini ndiri Mwari waAbhurahama, naMwari waIsaka, naMwari waJakobho? Mwari haasi Mwari wevakafa, asi wevapenyu.
33 And having heard the crowds were astonished at the teaching of Him.
Zvino zvaunga zvichizvinzwa zvakashamisika nedzidziso yake.
34 And the Pharisees having heard that He had silenced the Sadducees were gathered together the same.
VaFarisi vakati vachinzwa kuti washaisa VaSadhusi remuromo, vakaungana pamwe.
35 And questioned [Him] one of them a lawyer testing Him (and saying: *k)
Zvino umwe wavo, nyanzvi yemutemo, wakamubvunza, achimuidza, ichiti:
36 Teacher, which commandment [is the] greatest in the law?
Mudzidzisi, ndeupi mutemo mukuru pamurairo?
37 And (Jesus *k) (was saying *N+kO) to him; You will love [the] Lord the God of you with all the heart of you and with all the soul of you and with all the mind of you.’
Jesu akati kwaari: Ida Ishe Mwari wako, nemoyo wako wese, uye nemweya wako wese, uye nemurangariro wako umwe neumwe.
38 This is (the *no) great and first commandment.
Ndiwo murairo wekutanga uye mukuru.
39 [The] second also [is] like (to it: *NK+o) You will love the neighbour of you as yourself.’
Wechipiri unofanana nawo, ndiwoyu: Ida umwe wako sezvaunozvida iwe.
40 On these two commandments all the law (hangs *N+kO) and the Prophets.

41 When were assembled now the Pharisees questioned them Jesus
Zvino VaFarisi vachakaungana, Jesu akavabvunza,
42 saying; What you think concerning the Christ? Of whom son is He? They say to Him; Of David.
achiti: Munofungei pamusoro paKristu? Mwanakomana waani? Vakati kwaari: WaDhavhidhi.
43 He says to them; How then David in spirit does call Him Lord saying:
Akati kwavari: Ko Dhavhidhi wakagomutumidza sei muMweya kuti Ishe, achiti:
44 Said (the *k) Lord to the Lord of me; do sit on [the] right hand of Me until when I may place the enemies of You ([as] a footstool *N+kO) for the feet of You?
Ishe wakati kuna Ishe wangu: Gara kurudyi rwangu, kusvikira ndaita vavengi vako chitsiko chetsoka dzako?
45 If therefore David calls Him Lord, how son of him is He?
Zvino kana Dhavhidhi achimuti Ishe, anova mwanakomana wake sei?
46 And no [one] was able to answer Him a word nor dared anyone from that [very] day to question Him no longer. no longer.
Zvino hakuna akagona kumupindura shoko; uye kwakange kusina munhu kubva pazuva iro wakatsunga kumubvunzazve.
