< John 20 >

1 Now on the first [day] of the week Mary Magdalene comes early when dark still it being to the tomb and she sees the stone removed from the tomb.
Zvino newekutanga wevhiki Maria Magidharini wakasvika mangwanani-ngwanani paguva, kuchakasviba, akaona ibwe rabviswa kubva paguva.
2 She runs therefore and she comes to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom was loving Jesus and she says to them; They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and not we know where they have laid Him.
Naizvozvo wakamhanya akauya kuna Simoni Petro nekune umwe mudzidzi Jesu waaida, ndokuti kwavari: Vabvisa Ishe muguva, uye hatizivi pavamuradzika.
3 Went forth therefore Peter and the other disciple and were coming to the tomb;
Zvino Petro akabuda neumwe mudzidzi, vakasvika kuguva.
4 Were running now the two together; and the other disciple ran ahead quicker than Peter and came first to the tomb,
Zvino vakamhanya vari vaviri pamwe chete; zvino umwe mudzidzi akamhanya kusiya Petro, akatanga kusvika paguva.
5 And having stooped down he sees lying [there] the linen cloths, not however he entered.
Zvino akotama achidongorera, wakaona micheka yerineni yakawaridzwa, asi haana kupinda.
6 Comes then (also *no) Simon Peter following after him and he entered into the tomb and sees the linen cloths lying [there]
Zvino Simoni Petro akasvika achimutevera, akapinda muguva, akaona micheka yerineni yakawaridzwa,
7 and the soudarion which was upon the head of Him not with the linen cloths lying but by itself folded up in a place.
nemucheka wekumeso wakange uri mumusoro make, usina kuwaridzwa nemicheka yerineni, asi wakapetwa uri pane imwe nzvimbo wega.
8 Then therefore entered also the other disciple having come first to the tomb and he saw and believed;
Naizvozvo ipapo umwe mudzidzi wakatanga kusvika paguva akapindawo, akaona, akatenda;
9 not yet for they knew the Scripture that it is necessary for Him out from [the] dead to rise.
nokuti vakange vachigere kunzwisisisa rugwaro, kuti anofanira kumuka kubva kuvakafa.
10 Went away therefore again to (their [homes] *N+kO) the disciples.
Naizvozvo vadzidzi vakabva vakaendazve kwavo.
11 Mary however had stood at (the tomb *N+kO) outside weeping. As therefore she was weeping, she stooped down into the tomb,
Asi Maria wakamira kunze paguva achichema; zvino wakati achichema akakotama akadongorera muguva,
12 and she sees two angels in white sitting one at the head and one at the feet, where was laying the body of Jesus.
akaona vatumwa vaviri vane nguvo chena vagere, umwe kumusoro, neumwe kutsoka, ipapo pakambenge parere mutumbi waJesu.
13 And say to her they; Woman, why weep you? She says to them; Because they have taken away the Lord of mine, and not I know where they have laid Him.
Ivo ndokuti kwaari: Mukadzi, unochemei? Akati kwavari: Nokuti vakabvisa Ishe wangu, zvino handizivi kwavakamuradzika.
14 (and *k) These things having said she turned to the back and she sees Jesus already standing [there] and not knew that Jesus it is.
Zvino wakati areva zvinhu izvi akatendeukira kumashure, akaona Jesu amire, asi haana kuziva kuti ndiJesu.
15 Says to her Jesus; Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? She thinking that the gardener He is she says to Him; Sir, if you yourself carried off him, do tell me where you have laid Him, and I myself and I myself him will take away.
Jesu akati kwaari: Mukadzi, unochemei? Unotsvaka ani? Iye achifunga kuti ndiye murimi wemunda, akati kwaari: Ishe, kana imwi mamubvisa, ndiudzei pamamuradzika, uye ini ndichanomutora.
16 Says to her Jesus; (Mary. *N+kO) Having turned around she says to Him (in Hebrew; *NO) Rabboni, that is to say, Teacher.
Jesu akati kwaari: Maria! Iye akatendeuka akati kwaari: Rabhoni! ndiko kuti: Mudzidzisi.
17 Says to her Jesus: Not Me do yourself touch; not yet for have I ascended to the Father (of mine. *ko) do go however to the brothers of Mine and do say to them; I am ascending to the Father of Mine and Father of you and [to] God of Mine and God of you.
Jesu akati kwaari: Usandibata, nokuti ndichigere kukwira kuna Baba vangu; asi enda kuvanin'ina vangu, uti kwavari: Ndinokwira kuna Baba vangu naBaba venyu, naMwari wangu naMwari wenyu.
18 Comes Mary Magdalene (reporting *N+kO) to the disciples that (I have seen *N+KO) the Lord, and [that] these things He had said to her.
Maria Magidharini akauya ndokuudza vadzidzi kuti waona Ishe, uye wamuudza zvinhu izvi.
19 When is being therefore evening of the day same the first of [the] week and the doors shut where were the disciples (assembled *K) through the fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst and He says to them; Peace to you.
Zvino ava madekwani nezuva iroro rekutanga revhiki, mikova yapfigwa pakange pakaungana vadzidzi nekutya VaJudha, Jesu akauya akamira pakati, akati kwavari: Rugare kwamuri.
20 And this having said He showed (also *O) the hands and the side (of him *k) to them. Rejoiced then the disciples having seen the Lord.
Zvino wakati ataura izvi akavaratidza zvanza nerutivi rwake. Naizvozvo vadzidzi vakafara vachiona Ishe.
21 Said therefore to them Jesus again; Peace to you; even as has has sent forth me the Father I myself also I myself also send you.
Naizvozvo Jesu akatizve kwavari: Rugare kwamuri; Baba sezvavakandituma, neni ndinokutumai.
22 And this having said He breathed on [them] and He says to them; do receive [the] Spirit Holy.
Zvino wakati areva izvi akafuridzira kwavari, ndokuti kwavari: Gamuchirai Mweya Mutsvene.
23 If of any you may forgive the sins, (they have been forgiven *N+kO) to them; If any you may retain, they have been retained.
Ani nani wamunokanganwira zvivi, vazvikanganwirwa; vese vamunobata zvavo zvabatwa.
24 Thomas however one of the Twelve who is being named Didymus not was with them when came Jesus.
Asi Tomasi, umwe wevanegumi nevaviri, wainzi Dhidhimo, wakange asipo navo Jesu paakauya.
25 Were saying therefore to him the other disciples; We have seen the Lord. But he said to them; Only unless I shall see in the hands of Him the mark of the nails and shall put the finger of mine into the mark of the nails and shall put my hand into the side of Him, certainly not shall I believe.
Naizvozvo vamwe vadzidzi vakati kwaari: Taona Ishe. Asi iye wakati kwavari: Kana ndisingaoni vanga rembambo muzvanza zvake, nekuisa munwe wangu muvanga rembambo, nekuisa ruoko rwangu murutivi rwake, handingatongotendi.
26 And after days eight again were inside the disciples of Him and Thomas with them. Comes Jesus when the doors shut And He stood in the midst and said; Peace to you.
Zvino mushure memazuva masere vadzidzi vake vakange vari mukatizve, naTomasi anavo. Jesu akauya, mikova yakapfigwa, ndokumira pakati akati: Rugare kwamuri.
27 Then He says to Thomas; do bring the finger of you here and do see the hands of Me, and do bring the hand of you and do put [it] into the side of Me, and not do be unbelieving but believing.
Ipapo akati kuna Tomasi: Uisa munwe wako pano uone zvanza zangu; uuise ruoko rwako uise murutivi rwangu, usava usingatendi, asi unotenda.
28 (and *k) Answered Thomas and said to Him; O Lord of Mine and O God of mine!
Zvino Tomasi akapindura, akati kwaari: Ishe wangu naMwari wangu!
29 Says to him Jesus; Because you have seen Me (Thomas *k) you have believed; blessed [are] those not having seen yet having believed.
Jesu akati kwaari: Nokuti wandiona, Tomasi, watenda; vakaropafadzwa vasina kuona asi vatenda.
30 Many indeed therefore also other signs did Jesus in the presence of the disciples of Him which not are written in book this.
Zvino zvirokwazvo Jesu wakaita zvimwe zviratidzo zvizhinji pamberi pevadzidzi vake, zvisina kunyorwa mubhuku iri.
31 these however have been written that (you may believe *NK+o) that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God and that believing life you may have in the name of Him.
