Colossians 3
1 If yee then bee risen with Christ, seeke those thinges which are aboue, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God.
Portanto, se já resuscitastes com Christo, buscae as coisas que são de cima, onde Christo está assentado á dextra de Deus.
2 Set your affections on things which are aboue, and not on things which are on the earth.
Pensae nas coisas que são de cima, e não nas que são da terra;
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Porque já estaes mortos, e a vossa vida está escondida com Christo em Deus.
4 When Christ which is our life, shall appeare, then shall ye also appeare with him in glory.
Quando Christo, que é a nossa vida, se manifestar, então tambem vós vos manifestareis com elle em gloria.
5 Mortifie therefore your members which are on the earth, fornication, vncleannes, the inordinate affection, euill concupiscence, and couetousnes which is idolatrie.
Mortificae pois os vossos membros, que estão sobre a terra: a fornicação, a immundicia, o appetite desordenado, a vil concupiscencia e a avareza, que é idolatria;
6 For the which things sake ye wrath of God commeth on the children of disobedience.
Pelas quaes coisas vem a ira de Deus sobre os filhos da desobediencia:
7 Wherein ye also walked once, when ye liued in them.
Nas quaes tambem d'antes andastes, quando vivieis n'ellas.
8 But now put ye away euen all these things, wrath, anger, maliciousnes, cursed speaking, filthie speaking, out of your mouth.
Mas agora despojae-vos tambem de todas estas coisas, a saber, da ira, da colera, da malicia, da maledicencia, das palavras torpes da vossa bocca.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that yee haue put off the olde man with his workes,
Não mintaes uns aos outros, pois que já vos despistes do velho homem com os seus feitos,
10 And haue put on the newe, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him,
E vos vestistes do novo, que se renova para o conhecimento, segundo a imagem d'aquelle que o creou:
11 Where is neither Grecian nor Iewe, circumcision nor vncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond, free: But Christ is all, and in all things.
Onde não ha grego nem judeo, circumcisão nem incircumcisão, barbaro, scytha, servo, ou livre; mas Christo é tudo em todos.
12 Now therfore as the elect of God holy and beloued, put on the bowels of mercies, kindnesse, humblenesse of minde, meekenesse, long suffering:
Revesti-vos pois, como eleitos de Deus, sanctos, e amados, de entranhas de misericordia, da benignidade, humildade, mansidão, longanimidade:
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiuing one another, if any man haue a quarel to another: euen as Christ forgaue, euen so doe ye.
Supportando-vos uns aos outros, e perdoando-vos uns aos outros, se algum tiver queixa contra outro: assim como Christo vos perdoou, assim o fazei vós tambem.
14 And aboue all these thinges put on loue, which is the bond of perfectnes.
E, sobre tudo isto, revesti-vos de caridade, que é o vinculo da perfeição.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which ye are called in one body, and be ye thankfull.
E a paz de Deus domine em vossos corações para a qual tambem fostes chamados em um corpo, e sêde agradecidos.
16 Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.
A palavra de Christo habite em vós abundantemente, em toda a sabedoria, ensinando-vos e admoestando-vos uns aos outros, com palavras, hymnos e canticos espirituaes, cantando ao Senhor com graça em vosso coração.
17 And whatsoeuer ye shall doe, in worde or deede, doe all in the Name of the Lord Iesus, giuing thankes to God euen the Father by him.
E, quanto fizerdes por palavras ou por obras, fazei tudo em nome do Senhor Jesus, dando por elle graças a Deus e ao Pae.
18 Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as it is comely in the Lord.
Vós, mulheres, estae sujeitas a vossos proprios maridos, como convém no Senhor.
19 Husbands, loue your wiues, and be not bitter vnto them.
Vós, maridos, amae a vossas mulheres, e não vos irriteis contra ellas.
20 Children, obey your parents in all thing for that is well pleasing vnto the Lord.
Vós, filhos, obedecei em tudo a vossos paes; porque isto é agradavel ao Senhor.
21 Fathers, prouoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged.
Vós, paes, não irriteis a vossos filhos, para que não percam o animo.
22 Seruants, be obedient vnto them that are your masters according to the flesh, in all things, not with eye seruice as men pleasers, but in singlenes of heart, fearing God.
Vós, servos, obedecei em tudo a vossos senhores segundo a carne, não servindo só na apparencia, como para agradar aos homens, mas com simplicidade de coração, temendo a Deus
23 And whatsoeuer ye doe, doe it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men,
E, tudo quanto fizerdes, fazei-o do coração, como ao Senhor, e não aos homens:
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receiue the reward of the inheritance: for ye serue the Lord Christ.
Sabendo que recebereis do Senhor o galardão da herança, porque a Christo, o Senhor, servis.
25 But he that doeth wrong, shall receiue for the wrong that he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Porém quem fizer aggravo receberá o aggravo que fizer: pois não ha accepção de pessoas.
