< 1 John 5 >

1 Whoever trusts that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the father also loves his child.
MEAMEN me kamelele, me Iesus me Kristus, nan i me ipwi sang ren Kot, o me kin pok ong me kaipwidi i, kin pil pok ong, me ipwi sanger.
2 How do we know that we love God's children? When we love God and follow his commands.
I me kitail asaki, me kitail pok ong seri en Kot akan, ni atail pok ong Kot o oke a kusoned akan.
3 Loving God means that we follow his commands, and his commands are not hard to bear.
Iet limpok ong Kot, atail kapwaiada a kusoned akan, a a kusoned akan me sota apwal.
4 Everyone who is born of God defeats the world. The way we gain victory and defeat the world is by trusting God.
Pwe meamen, me ipwi sang ren Kot, kin kaloedi sappa. Iet pai en pei, me kaloedier sappa, atail poson.
5 Who can defeat the world? Only those who trust in Jesus, believing he is the Son of God.
Is me kaloedi sappa, kaidin i eta, me kamelele, me Iesus Sapwilim en Kot?
6 He is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not only come by water, but by water and blood. The Spirit gives evidence to confirm this, for the Spirit is the truth.
I met, me kokido pil o nta, Iesus Kristus; kaidin pil eta, pwe pil o nta. Ngen me kadedeki, pwe Ngen melel.
7 So there are three that give evidence:
Irail me silimen me kadede:
8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and all three agree as one.
Ngen, o pil, o nta; irail kin minimin pena.
9 If we accept the evidence that human witnesses provide, then the evidence that God provides is much more important. The evidence that God provides is his testimony about his Son.
Ma kitail kamelele kadede en aramas akan, nan kadede en Kot me lap sang, pwe i en Kot a kadede me a kotin kadedeki sapwilim a Ol.
10 Those trusting in the Son of God have accepted and hold on to this evidence. Those who don't trust God make God out to be a liar, because they don't believe the evidence God has given about his Son.
Me kamelele Sapwilim en Kot, a men kadede mi lole, me so kin kamelele Kot, kin kalikame i, pwe a sota kamelele kadede en Kot duen sapwilim a Ol,
11 The evidence is this: God has given eternal life to us, and we have this life through his Son. (aiōnios g166)
A iet kadede o: Kot me kotiki ong kitail er maur soutuk; a i song en maur mi ren sapwilim a Ol. (aiōnios g166)
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever doesn't have the Son of God doesn't have life.
Me aneki Na, i me aneki maur, a me sota aneki Sapwilim en Kot, a pil sota aneki maur.
13 I'm writing to tell those of you who trust in the name of the Son of God so you can be certain you have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Mepukat i inting wong komail er, pwe komail en asa, me maur soutuk mi re omail, a komail, me poson mar en Sapwilim en Kot. (aiōnios g166)
14 We can be confident that he will listen to us as long as we ask in accordance with his will.
O iet at kaporopor kaperen: Meakot kitail poeki re a duen kupur a, a kotin mangi kitail.
15 If we know that he hears our requests, we can be sure that we will receive what we've asked him for.
A ma kitail asa, me a kotin mangi kitail, iran meakot kitail poeki re a, kitail ap asa, me kitail pwais anekier, me kitail kapakapaki.
16 If you see your Christian brother or sister committing a sin that is not a deadly sin, you ought to pray and God will grant life to the one who's sinned. (But not for a deadly sin. There's a sin that is deadly, and I'm not saying people should pray about that.
Meamen me kilangada ri a wia dip, me so imwilang mela, i en kapakapaki, Kot ap pan kotiki ong i maur, ong ir, me so wia dip, me udan mela. A eu song en dip mia, me imwilang mela, duen song en i sota inda, meamen en kapakapaki.
17 Yes, all that is not right is sin, but there's sin that is not deadly.)
Sapung karos me dip, a song en dip mia, me sota imwilang mela.
18 We recognize that those who are born of God don't keep on sinning. The Son of God protects them and the devil cannot harm them.
Kitail asa, meamen me ipwi sang ren Kot, sota kin wia dip; a me ipwi sang ren Kot, apapwali pein i, a men sued o sota pan doke i.
19 We know that we belong to God, and that the world is under the power of the evil one.
Kitail asa, me kitail tapi sang ren Kot, a sappa karos mi ni me sued.
20 We also know that the Son of God has come, and has helped us to understand so we can recognize the one who is true. We live in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God, and is eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
A kitail asa, me Sapwilim en Kot pwarador, kalolekong kitail er, pwe kitail en asa i me melel, o kitail kisan i me melel, iei sapwilim a Iesus Kristus. I me Kot melel o maur soutuk. (aiōnios g166)
21 Dear friends, stay away from idol worship.
Sama ko, kalaka pein komail sang dikedik en ani kan!
