Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is [the] substantiating of things hoped for, [the] conviction of things not seen.
விஸ்²வாஸ ஆஸ²ம்’ஸிதாநாம்’ நிஸ்²சய: , அத்³ரு’ஸ்²யாநாம்’ விஷயாணாம்’ த³ர்ஸ²நம்’ ப⁴வதி|
2 For in [the power of] this the elders have obtained testimony.
தேந விஸ்²வாஸேந ப்ராஞ்சோ லோகா: ப்ராமாண்யம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்த: |
3 By faith we apprehend that the worlds were framed by [the] word of God, so that that which is seen should not take its origin from things which appear. (aiōn g165)
அபரம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யேந ஜக³ந்த்யஸ்ரு’ஜ்யந்த, த்³ரு’ஷ்டவஸ்தூநி ச ப்ரத்யக்ஷவஸ்துப்⁴யோ நோத³பத்³யந்தைதத்³ வயம்’ விஸ்²வாஸேந பு³த்⁴யாமஹே| (aiōn g165)
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained testimony of being righteous, God bearing testimony to his gifts, and by it, having died, he yet speaks.
விஸ்²வாஸேந ஹாபி³ல் ஈஸ்²வரமுத்³தி³ஸ்²ய காபி³ல: ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²ம்’ ப³லிதா³நம்’ க்ரு’தவாந் தஸ்மாச்சேஸ்²வரேண தஸ்ய தா³நாந்யதி⁴ ப்ரமாணே த³த்தே ஸ தா⁴ர்ம்மிக இத்யஸ்ய ப்ரமாணம்’ லப்³த⁴வாந் தேந விஸ்²வாஸேந ச ஸ ம்ரு’த: ஸந் அத்³யாபி பா⁴ஷதே|
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him; for before [his] translation he has the testimony that he had pleased God.
விஸ்²வாஸேந ஹநோக் யதா² ம்ரு’த்யும்’ ந பஸ்²யேத் ததா² லோகாந்தரம்’ நீத: , தஸ்யோத்³தே³ஸ²ஸ்²ச கேநாபி ந ப்ராபி யத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தம்’ லோகாந்தரம்’ நீதவாந், தத்ப்ரமாணமித³ம்’ தஸ்ய லோகாந்தரீகரணாத் பூர்வ்வம்’ ஸ ஈஸ்²வராய ரோசிதவாந் இதி ப்ரமாணம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந்|
6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]. For he that draws near to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them who seek him out.
கிந்து விஸ்²வாஸம்’ விநா கோ(அ)பீஸ்²வராய ரோசிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி யத ஈஸ்²வரோ(அ)ஸ்தி ஸ்வாந்வேஷிலோகேப்⁴ய: புரஸ்காரம்’ த³தா³தி சேதிகதா²யாம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ²ரணாக³தை ர்விஸ்²வஸிதவ்யம்’|
7 By faith, Noah, oracularly warned concerning things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which [is] according to faith.
அபரம்’ ததா³நீம்’ யாந்யத்³ரு’ஸ்²யாந்யாஸந் தாநீஸ்²வரேணாதி³ஷ்ட: ஸந் நோஹோ விஸ்²வாஸேந பீ⁴த்வா ஸ்வபரிஜநாநாம்’ ரக்ஷார்த²ம்’ போதம்’ நிர்ம்மிதவாந் தேந ச ஜக³ஜ்ஜநாநாம்’ தோ³ஷாந் த³ர்ஸி²தவாந் விஸ்²வாஸாத் லப்⁴யஸ்ய புண்யஸ்யாதி⁴காரீ ப³பூ⁴வ ச|
8 By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, and went out, not knowing where he was going.
விஸ்²வாஸேநேப்³ராஹீம் ஆஹூத: ஸந் ஆஜ்ஞாம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா யஸ்ய ஸ்தா²நஸ்யாதி⁴காரஸ்தேந ப்ராப்தவ்யஸ்தத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ரஸ்தி²தவாந் கிந்து ப்ரஸ்தா²நஸமயே க்க யாமீதி நாஜாநாத்|
9 By faith he sojourned as a stranger in the land of promise as a foreign country, having dwelt in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with [him] of the same promise;
விஸ்²வாஸேந ஸ ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாதே தே³ஸே² பரதே³ஸ²வத் ப்ரவஸந் தஸ்யா: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாயா: ஸமாநாம்’ஸி²ப்⁴யாம் இஸ்ஹாகா யாகூபா³ ச ஸஹ தூ³ஷ்யவாஸ்யப⁴வத்|
10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, of which God is [the] artificer and constructor.
யஸ்மாத் ஸ ஈஸ்²வரேண நிர்ம்மிதம்’ ஸ்தா²பிதஞ்ச பி⁴த்திமூலயுக்தம்’ நக³ரம்’ ப்ரத்யைக்ஷத|
11 By faith also Sarah herself received strength for [the] conception of seed, and [that] beyond a seasonable age; since she counted him faithful who promised.
அபரஞ்ச விஸ்²வாஸேந ஸாரா வயோதிக்ராந்தா ஸந்த்யபி க³ர்ப⁴தா⁴ரணாய ஸ²க்திம்’ ப்ராப்ய புத்ரவத்யப⁴வத், யத: ஸா ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாகாரிணம்’ விஸ்²வாஸ்யம் அமந்யத|
12 Wherefore also there have been born of one, and that of one become dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the countless sand which [is] by the sea shore.
ததோ ஹேதோ ர்ம்ரு’தகல்பாத்³ ஏகஸ்மாத் ஜநாத்³ ஆகாஸீ²யநக்ஷத்ராணீவ க³ணநாதீதா: ஸமுத்³ரதீரஸ்த²ஸிகதா இவ சாஸம்’க்²யா லோகா உத்பேதி³ரே|
13 All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them from afar off and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
ஏதே ஸர்வ்வே ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாயா: ப²லாந்யப்ராப்ய கேவலம்’ தூ³ராத் தாநி நிரீக்ஷ்ய வந்தி³த்வா ச, ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாம்’ வயம்’ விதே³ஸி²ந: ப்ரவாஸிநஸ்²சாஸ்மஹ இதி ஸ்வீக்ரு’த்ய விஸ்²வாஸேந ப்ராணாந் தத்யஜு: |
14 For they who say such things shew clearly that they seek [their] country.
யே து ஜநா இத்த²ம்’ கத²யந்தி தை: பைத்ரு’கதே³ஸோ² (அ)ஸ்மாபி⁴ரந்விஷ்யத இதி ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே|
15 And if they had called to mind that from whence they went out, they had had opportunity to have returned;
தே யஸ்மாத்³ தே³ஸா²த் நிர்க³தாஸ்தம்’ யத்³யஸ்மரிஷ்யந் தர்ஹி பராவர்த்தநாய ஸமயம் அலப்ஸ்யந்த|
16 but now they seek a better, that is, a heavenly; wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he has prepared for them a city.
கிந்து தே ஸர்வ்வோத்க்ரு’ஷ்டம் அர்த²த: ஸ்வர்கீ³யம்’ தே³ஸ²ம் ஆகாங்க்ஷந்தி தஸ்மாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தாநதி⁴ ந லஜ்ஜமாநஸ்தேஷாம் ஈஸ்²வர இதி நாம க்³ரு’ஹீதவாந் யத: ஸ தேஷாம்’ க்ரு’தே நக³ரமேகம்’ ஸம்’ஸ்தா²பிதவாந்|
17 By faith Abraham, [when] tried, offered up Isaac, and he who had received to himself the promises offered up his only begotten [son],
அபரம் இப்³ராஹீம: பரீக்ஷாயாம்’ ஜாதாயாம்’ ஸ விஸ்²வாஸேநேஸ்ஹாகம் உத்ஸஸர்ஜ,
18 as to whom it had been said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called:
வஸ்துத இஸ்ஹாகி தவ வம்’ஸோ² விக்²யாஸ்யத இதி வாக்³ யமதி⁴ கதி²தா தம் அத்³விதீயம்’ புத்ரம்’ ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாப்ராப்த: ஸ உத்ஸஸர்ஜ|
19 counting that God [was] able to raise [him] even from among [the] dead, whence also he received him in a figure.
யத ஈஸ்²வரோ ம்ரு’தாநப்யுத்தா²பயிதும்’ ஸ²க்நோதீதி ஸ மேநே தஸ்மாத் ஸ உபமாரூபம்’ தம்’ லேபே⁴|
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
அபரம் இஸ்ஹாக் விஸ்²வாஸேந யாகூப்³ ஏஷாவே ச பா⁴விவிஷயாநத்⁴யாஸி²ஷம்’ த³தௌ³|
21 By faith Jacob [when] dying blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped on the top of his staff.
அபரம்’ யாகூப்³ மரணகாலே விஸ்²வாஸேந யூஷப²: புத்ரயோரேகைகஸ்மை ஜநாயாஸி²ஷம்’ த³தௌ³ யஷ்ட்யா அக்³ரபா⁴கே³ ஸமாலம்ப்³ய ப்ரணநாம ச|
22 By faith Joseph [when] dying called to mind the going forth of the sons of Israel, and gave commandment concerning his bones.
அபரம்’ யூஷப்² சரமகாலே விஸ்²வாஸேநேஸ்ராயேல்வம்’ஸீ²யாநாம்’ மிஸரதே³ஸா²த்³ ப³ஹிர்க³மநஸ்ய வாசம்’ ஜகா³த³ நிஜாஸ்தீ²நி சாதி⁴ ஸமாதி³தே³ஸ²|
23 By faith Moses, being born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw the child beautiful; and they did not fear the injunction of the king.
நவஜாதோ மூஸாஸ்²ச விஸ்²வாஸாத் த்ராந் மாஸாந் ஸ்வபித்ரு’ப்⁴யாம் அகோ³ப்யத யதஸ்தௌ ஸ்வஸி²ஸு²ம்’ பரமஸுந்த³ரம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டவந்தௌ ராஜாஜ்ஞாஞ்ச ந ஸ²ங்கிதவந்தௌ|
24 By faith Moses, when he had become great, refused to be called son of Pharaoh's daughter;
அபரம்’ வய: ப்ராப்தோ மூஸா விஸ்²வாஸாத் பி²ரௌணோ தௌ³ஹித்ர இதி நாம நாங்கீ³சகார|
25 choosing rather to suffer affliction along with the people of God than to have [the] temporary pleasure of sin;
யத: ஸ க்ஷணிகாத் பாபஜஸுக²போ⁴கா³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரஜாபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ து³: க²போ⁴க³ம்’ வவ்ரே|
26 esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he had respect to the recompense.
ததா² மிஸரதே³ஸீ²யநிதி⁴ப்⁴ய: க்²ரீஷ்டநிமித்தாம்’ நிந்தா³ம்’ மஹதீம்’ ஸம்பத்திம்’ மேநே யதோ ஹேதோ: ஸ புரஸ்காரதா³நம் அபைக்ஷத|
27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as seeing him who is invisible.
அபரம்’ ஸ விஸ்²வாஸேந ராஜ்ஞ: க்ரோதா⁴த் ந பீ⁴த்வா மிஸரதே³ஸ²ம்’ பரிதத்யாஜ, யதஸ்தேநாத்³ரு’ஸ்²யம்’ வீக்ஷமாணேநேவ தை⁴ர்ய்யம் ஆலம்பி³|
28 By faith he celebrated the passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.
அபரம்’ ப்ரத²மஜாதாநாம்’ ஹந்தா யத் ஸ்வீயலோகாந் ந ஸ்ப்ரு’ஸே²த் தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸ விஸ்²வாஸேந நிஸ்தாரபர்வ்வீயப³லிச்சே²த³நம்’ ருதி⁴ரஸேசநஞ்சாநுஷ்டி²தாவாந்|
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as through dry land; of which the Egyptians having made trial were swallowed up.
அபரம்’ தே விஸ்²வாஸாத் ஸ்த²லேநேவ ஸூப்²ஸாக³ரேண ஜக்³மு: கிந்து மிஸ்ரீயலோகாஸ்தத் கர்த்தும் உபக்ரம்ய தோயேஷு மமஜ்ஜு: |
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, having been encircled for seven days.
அபரஞ்ச விஸ்²வாஸாத் தை: ஸப்தாஹம்’ யாவத்³ யிரீஹோ: ப்ராசீரஸ்ய ப்ரத³க்ஷிணே க்ரு’தே தத் நிபபாத|
31 By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with the unbelieving, having received the spies in peace.
விஸ்²வாஸாத்³ ராஹப்³நாமிகா வேஸ்²யாபி ப்ரீத்யா சாராந் அநுக்³ரு’ஹ்யாவிஸ்²வாஸிபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ந விநநாஸ²|
32 And what more do I say? For the time would fail me telling of Gideon, and Barak, and Samson, and Jephthah, and David and Samuel, and of the prophets:
அதி⁴கம்’ கிம்’ கத²யிஷ்யாமி? கி³தி³யோநோ பா³ரக: ஸி²ம்ஸோ²நோ யிப்தஹோ தா³யூத்³ ஸி²மூயேலோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நஸ்²சைதேஷாம்’ வ்ரு’த்தாந்தகத²நாய மம ஸமயாபா⁴வோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
33 who by faith overcame kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped lions' mouths,
விஸ்²வாஸாத் தே ராஜ்யாநி வஸீ²க்ரு’தவந்தோ த⁴ர்ம்மகர்ம்மாணி ஸாதி⁴தவந்த: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாநாம்’ ப²லம்’ லப்³த⁴வந்த: ஸிம்’ஹாநாம்’ முகா²நி ருத்³த⁴வந்தோ
34 quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] edge of the sword, became strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, made [the] armies of strangers give way.
வஹ்நேர்தா³ஹம்’ நிர்வ்வாபிதவந்த: க²ங்க³தா⁴ராத்³ ரக்ஷாம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்தோ தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யே ஸப³லீக்ரு’தா யுத்³தே⁴ பராக்ரமிணோ ஜாதா: பரேஷாம்’ ஸைந்யாநி த³வயிதவந்தஸ்²ச|
35 Women received their dead again by resurrection; and others were tortured, not having accepted deliverance, that they might get a better resurrection;
யோஷித: புநருத்தா²நேந ம்ரு’தாந் ஆத்மஜாந் லேபி⁴ரே, அபரே ச ஸ்²ரேஷ்டோ²த்தா²நஸ்ய ப்ராப்தேராஸ²யா ரக்ஷாம் அக்³ரு’ஹீத்வா தாட³நேந ம்ரு’தவந்த: |
36 and others underwent trial of mockings and scourgings, yea, and of bonds and imprisonment.
அபரே திரஸ்காரை: கஸா²பி⁴ ர்ப³ந்த⁴நை: காரயா ச பரீக்ஷிதா: |
37 They were stoned, were sawn asunder, were tempted, died by the death of the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, evil treated,
ப³ஹவஸ்²ச ப்ரஸ்தராகா⁴தை ர்ஹதா: கரபத்ரை ர்வா விதீ³ர்ணா யந்த்ரை ர்வா க்லிஷ்டா: க²ங்க³தா⁴ரை ர்வா வ்யாபாதி³தா: | தே மேஷாணாம்’ சா²கா³நாம்’ வா சர்ம்மாணி பரிதா⁴ய தீ³நா: பீடி³தா து³: கா²ர்த்தாஸ்²சாப்⁴ராம்யந்|
38 (of whom the world was not worthy, ) wandering in deserts and mountains, and [in] dens and caverns of the earth.
ஸம்’ஸாரோ யேஷாம் அயோக்³யஸ்தே நிர்ஜநஸ்தா²நேஷு பர்வ்வதேஷு க³ஹ்வரேஷு ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாஸ்²சி²த்³ரேஷு ச பர்ய்யடந்|
39 And these all, having obtained witness through faith, did not receive the promise,
ஏதை: ஸர்வ்வை ர்விஸ்²வாஸாத் ப்ரமாணம்’ ப்ராபி கிந்து ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாயா: ப²லம்’ ந ப்ராபி|
40 God having foreseen some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.
யதஸ்தே யதா²ஸ்மாந் விநா ஸித்³தா⁴ ந ப⁴வேயுஸ்ததை²வேஸ்²வரேணாஸ்மாகம்’ க்ரு’தே ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²தரம்’ கிமபி நிர்தி³தி³ஸே²|
