1 ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲣ ϩⲁϩ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲍⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ
Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Yeshua was making and immersing more disciples than Yochanan
2 ⲃ̅ ⲕⲁⲓⲧⲟⲓ ⲓⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲍⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲉ
(although Yeshua himself didn’t immerse, but his disciples),
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ
he left Judea and departed into Galilee.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲡⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ
He needed to pass through Samaria.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ϭⲉ ⲉⲩⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲥⲩⲭⲁⲣ ϩⲁⲧⲙ ⲡϭⲱⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ
So he came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲓⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲓ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡ ⲥⲟ ⲡⲉ
Jacob’s well was there. Yeshua therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲙⲉϩ ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲁⲥⲱ
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Yeshua said to her, “Give me a drink.”
8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲟⲩⲟⲙϥ
For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲛⲧⲕ ⲟⲩⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲕⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲥⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧ ⲉⲁⲛⲅ ⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲱϩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ
The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 ⲓ̅ ⲁⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲁⲥⲱ ⲛⲧⲟ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲛⲁⲁⲓⲧⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϥϯ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲟⲛϩ
Yeshua answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲕⲁⲇⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧϣⲱⲧⲉ ϣⲟⲕϩ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁⲕ ϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲙⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ
The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲉⲛⲁⲁⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲧϣⲱⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲁϥⲥⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲧⲃⲛⲟⲟⲩⲉ
Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲉⲓⲃⲉ ⲟⲛ
Yeshua answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲓⲃⲉ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲏⲅⲏ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϥⲱϭⲉ ⲉⲩⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲡⲉⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲙⲉϩ ⲙⲟⲟⲩ
The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲡⲟⲩϩⲁⲉⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲉⲓⲙⲁ
Yeshua said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲛϯ ϩⲁⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛϯ ϩⲁⲉⲓ
The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Yeshua said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁϫⲓ ϯⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϩⲁⲉⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛⲧⲉⲉϥ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϩⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϫⲟⲟϥ
for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϯⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲛⲧⲕ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ
The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲛⲧⲁⲛⲉⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲡⲉⲓⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉϣϣⲉ ⲉⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲓⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲉⲓⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ
Yeshua said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲉϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲣⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲡⲓⲱⲧ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲁϥ
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲉⲥⲥⲓⲁⲥ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲡⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲓ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲁⲙⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ
The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming, he who is called Messiah. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.”
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲉ
Yeshua said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ ϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲉⲛⲧⲟⲓ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲕϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩ ⲏ ⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ⲕϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲥ
Just then, his disciples came. They marvelled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are you looking for?” or, “Why do you speak with her?”
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲕⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϩⲩⲇⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ⲛⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ
So the woman left her water pot, went away into the city, and said to the people,
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲏⲉⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲁϥϫⲱ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
“Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Messiah?”
30 ⲗ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲃⲃⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ
In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲩⲟⲙⲥ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ
But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲧⲁⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲟⲩⲱⲙ
The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲧⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲉⲓⲉⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲱⲃ
Yeshua said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲉϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲃⲟⲧ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲱϩⲥ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ϥⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲃⲁⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲭⲱⲣⲁ ϫⲉ ⲏⲇⲏ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲃⲁϣ ⲉⲟϩⲥⲟⲩ
Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲱϩⲥ ⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲃⲉⲕⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥⲥⲱⲟⲩϩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲱϩⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲁϣⲉ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ (aiōnios g166)
He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲉ ⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲧ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲟ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲉⲧ ⲡⲉⲧⲱϩⲥ
For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϫⲉⲩⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲱϩⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛϣⲡ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩϣⲡ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲩϩⲓⲥⲉ
I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t laboured. Others have laboured, and you have entered into their labour.”
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲥⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲁⲁⲩ
From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I have done.”
40 ⲙ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ϭⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡϥ ⲉϭⲱ ϩⲁϩⲧⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϭⲱ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ
So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ
Many more believed because of his word.
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ϭⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲙⲟⲥ
They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.”
43 ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲡϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ
After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee.
44 ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲁⲓⲟ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϥϯⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲓⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
For Yeshua himself testified that a prophet has no honour in his own country.
45 ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲁⲩϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲛ ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ϩⲙ ⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲡϣⲁ ⲡⲉ
So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46 ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲕⲁⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲣⲉ ⲡⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲣⲏⲣⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲥⲓⲗⲓⲕⲟⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲱⲛⲉ ϩⲛ ⲕⲁⲫⲁⲣⲛⲁⲟⲩⲙ
Yeshua came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁⲓⲥ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲡⲥⲱⲡϥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲉ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ
When he heard that Yeshua had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
48 ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲙⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲉⲛⲙⲁⲓⲛ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ
Yeshua therefore said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe.”
49 ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲃⲁⲥⲓⲗⲓⲕⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϣⲏⲧ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲟⲩ
The nobleman said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
50 ⲛ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲡⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲟⲛϩ ⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲥ ϫⲟⲟϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ
Yeshua said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Yeshua spoke to him, and he went his way.
51 ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲁⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲧⲱⲙⲛⲧ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲟⲛϩ
As he was going down, his servants met him and reported, saying “Your child lives!”
52 ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲉϩⲙⲟⲙ ⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡ ⲥⲁϣϥⲉ ⲛⲥⲁϥ
So he enquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.”
53 ⲛ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲥ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲟⲛϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲉⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ
So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Yeshua said to him, “Your son lives.” He believed, as did his whole house.
54 ⲛ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲙⲉϩ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲓⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲥ ⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ
This is again the second sign that Yeshua did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
