< Matthai 22 >

1 Te phoeiah Jesuh loh amih te a doo tih nuettahnah neh koep a thui pah.
And answering Jesus again spoke in parables to them saying;
2 “Vaan ram tah a manghai pa neh vai uh. Te loh a capa ham yulueinah a saii pah.
Has become like the kingdom of the heavens to a man a king who made a wedding feast for the son of him.
3 Te vaengah yulueinah la a khue rhoek te khue hamla a sal rhoek te a tueih dae lo ham ngaih uh pawh.
And he sent the servants of him to call those invited to the wedding feast, and not they were willing to come.
4 Sal a tloe rhoek te koep a tueih tih, 'A khue rhoek te thui pa uh, kai kah buhkoknah ka tawn coeng he, ka vaito neh a toitup khaw a ngawn coengw, a cungkuem he a sikim coeng dongah yulueinah ah halo uh saeh,’ a ti nah.
Again he sent other servants saying; do say to those invited; Behold the dinner of mine (I have prepared, *N+kO) the oxen of Mine and the fatlings killed, and all things [are] ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Tedae amih loh a sawtrhoel uh tih a ngen tah amah kah lo la, a tloe te a hnoyoihnah la cet uh.
And having paid no attention they went away, (that [one] *N+kO) indeed to [his] own field, (that [one] *N+kO) however (to *N+kO) the business of him;
6 Te phoeiah a tloe rhoek loh manghai kah sal rhoek te a tuuk uh, a neet uh tih a ngawn uh.
And the rest having laid hold of the servants of him mistreated and killed [them].
7 Te dongah manghai tah kosi a hong tih a rhalkap rhoek te a tueih. Te vaengah hlang aka ngawn rhoek te a poci sak tih a khopuei te a hlup pah.
(and *o) (having heard *k) Now the king (that *k) was angry, and having sent the armies of him he destroyed the murderers those and the city of them he burned.
8 Te phoeiah a sal rhoek taengah, ' Yulueinah tah sikim la om coeng dae a khue rhoek te a koihhilh la a om uh moenih.
Then he says to the servants of him; The indeed wedding feast ready is, those however invited not were worthy.
9 Te dongah longpuei caehtung ah cet uh lamtah na hmuh uh sarhui te yulueinah ah khue uh,’ a ti nah.
do go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as (if *N+kO) you shall find, do invite to the wedding feast.
10 Te phoeiah sal rhoek tah longpuei ah cet uh tih a hmuh uh sarhui te a thae neh a then khaw a coi uh. Te dongah yulueinah tah aka bul rhoek neh bae uh.
And having gone out the servants those into the highways they brought together all (as many as *N+kO) they found, evil both and good; and became full the (wedding hall *NK+O) of those reclining.
11 Te vaengah manghai te kun tih aka bul rhoek te a sawt hatah, yulueinah himbai aka bai pawh hlang pakhat te kawl a hmuh.
Having entered in then the king to see those reclining he saw there a man not being dressed himself in clothes of wedding
12 Te dongah anih te, “Pueivan aw, metlae yulueinah himbai om kolla hela na kun?” a ti nah. Tedae te long te hil a phah.
and he says to him; Friend, how did you enter here not having garment of wedding? And he was speechless.
13 Te dongah manghai loh a tueihyoeih rhoek taengah, “Anih he a kut neh a kho pin uh lamtah poengben kah a yinnah khuila haek uh. Rhah neh no rhuengnah la om saeh,’ a ti nah.
Then the king said to the servants; Having bound his feet and hands (do take and *KO) do cast out him into the darkness outer; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
14 Te dongah, “A khue rhoek tah muep om dae a coelh rhoek tah yool,” a ti nah.
Many for are called, few however chosen.
15 Te phoeiah Pharisee rhoek tah koe uh Jesuh te a ol neh hlaeh ham dawtletnah a khueh uh.
Then having gone out the Pharisees counsel took how Him they may trap in His words.
16 Te phoeiah a hnukbang rhoek te Herod kah hlang neh Jesuh taengla a tueih uh. Te vaengah, “Saya, a thuem la na om tih Pathen kah longpuei te oltak neh na thuituen te ka ming uh. U taengah khaw na tangyah pawt tih hlang maelhmai te na sawt moenih.
And they send to Him the disciples of them with the Herodians (saying; *NK+o) Teacher, we know that true You are and the way of God in [the] truth You teach, and not there is care to You about no [one], not for You look on [the] appearance of men.
17 Te dongah Kaisar taengah mangmu paek ham tueng neh a tueng pawt khaw nang loh me tlam lae na poek, kaimih taengah thui lah?” a ti na uh.
do tell therefore us what You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?
18 Tedae Jesuh loh amih kah halangnah te a ming tih, “Hlangthai palat rhoek balae tih kai nan noemcai uh?
Having known however Jesus the malice of them He said; Why Me do you test, hypocrites?
19 Mangmu ham tangka te kai n'tueng uh lah,” a ti nah. Te dongah a taengla denarii pakhat a khuen uh.
do show Me the coin of the tribute. And they presented to Him a denarius.
20 Te vaengah amih te, “U kah mueimae neh ming nim he?” a ti nah.
And He says to them; Of whom [is] likeness this And [of whom is] the inscription?
21 Amah taengah, “Kaisar kah,” a ti uh. Te vaengah amih te, “Te dongah Kaisar kah tah Kaisar taengah, Pathen kah te Pathen taengah mael uh,” a ti nah.
They say to Him; Of Caesar. Then He says to them; do give back therefore the [things] of Caesar to Caesar and the [things] of God to God.
22 A yaak uh vaengah let uh. Te dongah Jesuh te a toeng uh tih cet uh.
And having heard they marveled, and having left Him they went away.
23 Te khohnin ah thohkoepnah om mahpawh aka ti Sadducee rhoek loh Jesuh te a paan uh.
On that [very] day came to Him Sadducees (those *k) saying not being a resurrection and they questioned Him
24 Te phoeiah Jesuh te a dawt uh tih, “Saya, Moses loh, 'Khat khat tah ca a om kolla a duek atah anih yuu te a mana loh yunah saeh lamtah a maya ham a tiingan thoh pah saeh,'a ti.
saying; Teacher, Moses said; If anyone shall die not having children, will marry the brother of him the wife of him and he will raise up offspring for the brother of him.
25 Tedae kaimih taengah boeinaphung parhih om uh. Lamhma loh yuu a loh hata vik duek tih ca om kolla a yuu te a mana ham a hlah pah.
There were now among us seven brothers. and the first having married died, and not having seed he left the wife of him to the brother of him;
26 A pabae neh a pathum neh parhih duela khaw amahboeiloeih la om.
Likewise also the second and the third until the seventh.
27 A tloihsoi ah huta te khaw boeih duek uh.
Finally then of all died (and *ko) the woman.
28 Anih te boeih a hutnah uh oeh coeng dongah thohkoepnah dongah tah parhih khuikah u yuu lamlae a om eh?” a ti na uh.
In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven will she be wife? All for had her.
29 Jesuh loh amih te a doo tih, “Cacim neh Pathen kah thaomnah aka ming pawt loh n'rhaithi uh coeng.
Answering now Jesus said to them; You err not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Thohkoepnah dongah yuloh vasak neh rhaihlan ti a om moenih. Tedae vaan ah tah puencawn bangla om uh coeng.
In for the resurrection neither do they marry nor (are given in marriage *N+kO) but like angels (of God *KO) in heaven they are.
31 Tedae aka duek rhoek kah thohkoepnah te nangmih ham Pathen loh a thui te na tae uh moenih a?
Concerning now the resurrection of the dead surely you have read that which has been spoken to you by God saying;
32 ' Kai tah Abraham kah Pathen, Isaak kah Pathen, Jakob kah Pathen ni. Aka duek rhoek kah pawt tih aka hing rhoek kah Pathen ni,’ a ti ta,” a ti nah.
I myself am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?’ Not He is the God (God *k) of [the] dead but of [the] living.
33 Te vaengkah aka ya hlangping tah Jesuh kah thuituennah soah let uh.
And having heard the crowds were astonished at the teaching of Him.
34 Tedae Sadducee rhoek a paa sak te Pharisee rhoek loh a yaak uh vaengah thikat la tingtun uh.
And the Pharisees having heard that He had silenced the Sadducees were gathered together the same.
35 Te phoeiah amih khuikah olming pakhat loh,
And questioned [Him] one of them a lawyer testing Him (and saying: *k)
36 “Saya, olkhueng khuiah mebang olpaek lae aka len?” tila a dawt tih a noemcai.
Teacher, which commandment [is the] greatest in the law?
37 Te dongah Jesuh loh, “Boeipa na Pathen te na thinko boeih neh na hinglu boeih neh, na kopoek boeih neh lungnah.
And (Jesus *k) (was saying *N+kO) to him; You will love [the] Lord the God of you with all the heart of you and with all the soul of you and with all the mind of you.’
38 He tah aka len neh aka lamhma olpaek ni.
This is (the *no) great and first commandment.
39 A pabae khaw lamhma kah phek la om tih, “Na imben te namah bangla lungnah.
[The] second also [is] like (to it: *NK+o) You will love the neighbour of you as yourself.’
40 He kah olpaek panit dongah olkhueng neh tonghma rhoek tah boeih cui,” a ti nah.
On these two commandments all the law (hangs *N+kO) and the Prophets.
41 Pharisee rhoek te a tingtun uh vaengah Jesuh loh amih te a dawt tih,
When were assembled now the Pharisees questioned them Jesus
42 “Khrih kawng te metlam na poek uh? U ca lamlae a om?” a ti nah. Te vaengah, “David kah capa,” a ti uh.
saying; What you think concerning the Christ? Of whom son is He? They say to Him; Of David.
43 Te dongah amih te, “Te koinih David loh Khrih te Mueihla ah Boeipa la a khue tih,
He says to them; How then David in spirit does call Him Lord saying:
44 Boeipa loh ka Boeipa te, ' Na rhal rhoek te ka kho hmuiah ka khueh hlan duela kai kah bantang ah ngol,’ a ti nah te metlam a thui?
Said (the *k) Lord to the Lord of me; do sit on [the] right hand of Me until when I may place the enemies of You ([as] a footstool *N+kO) for the feet of You?
45 Te dongah David loh anih te boeipa la a khue atah metlamlae David kah capa la a om eh?” a ti nah.
If therefore David calls Him Lord, how son of him is He?
46 Te vaengah a ol lan uh thai pawh. Te khohnin lamkah tah anih dawt ham te khat long khaw ngaingaih voel pawh.
And no [one] was able to answer Him a word nor dared anyone from that [very] day to question Him no longer. no longer.
