< Galati 4 >

1 Rhopangkung te cahmang la a om khui boeih atah sal khaw, boei khaw, aka om boeih te a tanglue tloe moenih ka ti coeng.
I say now, for as long as time the heir a child is, [in] no[thing] he differs from a slave [though] owner of everything being;
2 Tedae pa kah a tuetang duela imtawt neh hnokhoem kut hmuiah a om sak.
Instead under guardians he is and trustees until the time appointed by [his] father.
3 Te dongah mamih khaw cahmang la n'om uh vaengah Diklai kah a niing hmuiah sal aka bi la n'om?
So also we ourselves when we were children, under the basic principles of the world (we ourselves were *N+kO) held in bondage;
4 Tedae a tue a soepnah loh ha pawk vaengah Pathen loh a capa te han tueih. Huta lamloh om tih olkhueng hmuiah phoe.
When however had come the fullness of the time, sent forth God the Son of him, having been born of a woman, having been born under [the] Law,
that those under [the] Law He may redeem, so that the divine adoption as sons we may receive.
Abba apa tila aka pang a capa kah Mueihla te Pathen loh mamih thinko ah han tueih.
Because now you are sons, sent forth God the Spirit of the Son of Him into the hearts (of us *N+KO) crying out; Abba O Father!
So no longer no longer you are a slave but a son; if now a son, also an heir of through God (Christ. *K)
8 Tedae Pathen ana ming pawt vaengah a coengnah loh pathen la aka om pawt rhoek kah sal na bi uh.
But at that time indeed not knowing God you were enslaved to those by nature not being gods;
9 Tedae Pathen te mingpha coeng ta. Te dongah Pathen loh lat m'ming ta. Metlae tattloel neh a niing aka khodaeng taengla koep na mael uh.
now however having known God, rather however having been known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and destitute principles to which again anew (to be enslaved *NK+o) you desire?
10 Khohnin khaw, hla khaw, khoning khaw, kum khaw na yaeh uh coeng.
Days you observe and months and seasons and years.
11 Nangmih ham ka thakthae he a hoeihae pawt khaming tila nangmih taengah ka birhih.
I fear for you lest perhaps in vain I have toiled for you.
Kai nan veet uh moenih.
do become as I myself [am], because I myself also [have become] I myself also [have become] as you yourselves. brothers, I implore you; [In] no [thing] me You wronged.
13 Tedae a cuekca kah nangmih taengah ka phong te pumsa kah vawtthoek dongah tila na ming uh.
You know now that in weakness of the flesh I evangelised to you at the first,
14 Ka pumsa ah nangmih ham noemcainah om cakhaw nan hnaelcoe uh pawt tih nan tuei uh moenih. Tedae Pathen kah puencawn bangla, Jesuh Khrih bangla kai nan doe uh.
and the test (of you *N+KO) in the flesh of mine not you did despise [me] nor reject [me] with contempt, but as an angel of God you received me even as Christ Jesus.
15 Te koinih nangmih kah yoethennah tah menim? A phoeng mai koinih na mik te na koeih uh tih kai nan paek uh mako tila nangmih taengah ka laipai.
(Where *N+KO) then (was *k) the blessedness of you? I bear witness for to you that, if possible, the eyes of you having gouged out (then would *k) you have given [them] to me.
16 Nangmih ham oltak ka thui dongah nangmih kah rhal la ka coeng a?
So enemy of you have I become speaking truth to you?
17 Nangmih taengah a thatlai uh te thuem pawh.
They are zealous after you not rightly, but to exclude you [from us] They desire so that them you may be zealous after.
18 Tedae a then la thatlai ham tah then yoeyah ngawn.
Good [it is] now to be zealous in a right [thing] at all times, and not only in being present me with you,
19 Ka ca rhoek nangmih ah Khrih a kap duela u ham nim ka bung a tloh bal.
(Children *N+kO) of mine, of whom again I travail (until *N+kO) that may have been formed Christ in you.
I was wishing indeed to be present with you presently and to change the tone of mine, because I am perplexed as to you.
21 Kai taengah thui uh lah.
do tell me, you who [are] under [the] Law wishing to be, the Law not you do listen to?
22 Abraham loh capa panit a khueh te a daek coeng ta. Pakhat te salnu kah tih pakhat te aka loeih nu kah ta.
It has been written for that Abraham two sons had, one of the slave woman and one of the free.
23 Tedae salnu kah te tah pumsa la a cun. Aka loeih nu kah te tah olkhueh lamloh a cun.
But the [one] indeed of the slave woman according to flesh has been born, the [one] however of the free through (the *k) promise.
24 Amih rhoi loh a tueng sak te om. Amih rhoi tah paipi panit la om. Pakhat tah Sinai tlang lamkah tih sal la a cun. Anih tah Hagar ni.
which things are allegorized; these for are two covenants, one indeed from Mount Sinai unto slavery begetting which is Hagar.
25 Hagar tah Arabia kah Sinai tlang coeng ni.
(Now *N+kO) Hagar Sinai Mount is in Arabia, she corresponds now to the present Jerusalem, she is in slavery (for *N+kO) with the children of her.
26 Tedae soben Jerusalem tah aka loeih ni. Anih tah mamih kah manu ni.
But the above Jerusalem free is who is mother (of all *K) of us;
27 A daek coeng te ta, Cakol la cacun mueh aw uum khungdaeng lamtah bung aka tlo pawt aw tamhoe lah. Va aka khueh lakah khosoek kah camoe tah taoe ping ta.
It has been written for: do rejoice O barren woman you who [are] not bearing, do break forth and do call aloud you who [are] not travailing, because many [are] the children of the desolate woman more than of [her] who having the husband.
28 Manuca rhoek nangmih ngawn tah Isaak bangla olkhueh kah ca rhoek la na om uh.
(you yourselves *N+KO) now, brothers, like Isaac of promise children (you are. *N+KO)
29 Tedae pumsa la a cun loh mueihla la cun te a hnaemtak vanbangla tahae ah khaw om van tangloeng.
But just as at that time the [one] according to flesh having been born he was persecuting the [one born] according to Spirit so also [it is] now;
30 Tedae cacim loh, “Salnu neh a capa te haek laeh. Salnu kah a capa te aka loeih nu kah capa taengah phaeng loengloeng boel saeh,” a ti te ta.
But what says the Scripture? do cast out the slave woman and the son of her, certainly for not (will inherit *N+kO) the son of the slave woman along with the son of the free.
31 Te dongah manuca rhoek salnu kah voel pawt tih aka loeih kah ca rhoek la n'om uh.
(So then, *N+kO) brothers, not we are of [the] slave woman children but of the free;
