< Galati 2 >

1 Te phoeikah kum hlaili ah Jerusalem la Barnabas neh koep ka cet rhoi tih Titu khaw ka khuen rhoi.
Then after fourteen years again I went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas (having taken with [me] *NK+o) also Titus;
2 Tedae pumphoenah neh ka caeh vaengah namtom taengkah ka hoe olthangthen nen ni amih ka pawnhlai. Amah van ah te rhoek a ming a om dongah a yong khaw a tlongtlai la a ka yong pawt khaming.
I went up now according to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles — apart privately however to those esteemed — lest perhaps in vain I may be running or have run.
3 Tedae kai taengkah Greek hoel la aka om Titu pataeng te yahvinrhet ham tanolh pawh.
But not even Titus who [was] with me myself, a Greek being, was compelled to be circumcised;
4 Tedae laithae manuca he a det uh dongah ni. Amih tah Khrih Jesuh ah ng'khueh mamih kah poenghalnah te dawn tih mamih he sal bi sak hamla yingyet uh.
because of even the brought in secretly false brothers, who came in by stealth to spy out the freedom of us which we have in Christ Jesus, that us (they will enslave, *N+kO)
5 Amih taengah khonoek pakhat ham pataeng boengainah ka khueh pa uh moenih. Te daengah ni olthangthen kah oltak loh nangmih taengah a om eh.
to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, so that the truth of the gospel may continue with you.
6 Tedae aka poek rhoek te khat khat dongah metla a om akhaw hnukbuet ah a om te kai ham tah olpuei moenih. Pathen loh hlang kah maelhmai khaw a doe moenih. Ka taengah he mingom long khaw a thaem moenih.
Of now those esteemed to be something — whatsoever formerly they were no [thing] to me makes a difference; [the] face God of a man not does take [account of]; to me myself for the esteemed no [thing] added,
7 Tedae kuplat la aka hmu loh yahvinrhetnah dongah pumdul kah olthangthen te Peter bangla ka tangnah.
But on the contrary, having seen that I have been entrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision even as Peter [with that] of the circumcision
8 Peter loh yahvinrhetnah kah caeltueih te a tueng sak tih kai khaw namtom rhoek ham ka tueng sak.
the [One] for having worked in Peter for apostleship of the circumcision did also in me myself toward the Gentiles —
9 Tedae kai taengah m'paek lungvatnah aka ming, James neh Kephas neh Johan, rhungsut la aka om ham mingom rhoek loh, rhoinaengnah bantang kut tah kamah neh Barnabas taengah a thoh uh. Te dongah namtom ham ka om uh tih amih te yahvinrhetnah taengah om van.
and having known the grace which having been given to me, James and Cephas and John, those esteemed pillars to be, [the] right hands gave to me myself and to Barnabas of fellowship, that we ourselves [should go] (indeed *o) to the Gentiles, they however to the circumcision,
10 khodaeng bueng he poek ham om mai. Te te saii ham te khaw bahoeng ka haam.
Only [they asked] the poor that we may remember; that also I was eager [the] same thing to do.
11 Tedae Kephas he Antiok la ha pawk vaengah, coel hamla a om dongah a hmai ah ka mah.
When however came (Peter *N+kO) to Antioch, to face his I opposed [him], because condemned he was standing.
12 James taengkah hlangvang te ha pawk hlan atah namtom taengah a caak. Tedae ha pawk uh vaengah tah yahvinrhetnah rhoek te a rhih. Te dongah tonga tih amah te hoep uh.
Before for to come certain ones from James with the Gentiles he was eating; when however (they came, *NK+O) he was drawing back and he was separating himself being afraid of those of [the] circumcision;
13 Te vaengah a tloe Judah rhoek long khaw anih te a thailat puei. Te dongah Barnabas long pataeng amih kah thailatnah te a rhoihbaih.
And acted hypocritically with him also the rest of [the] Jews so that even Barnabas was carried away of them by the hypocrisy.
14 Tedae olthangthen kah oltak bangla a caeh a thuem pawt te ka hmuh. Te dongah Kephas te hlang boeih hmaiah, “Nang Judah loh namtom bangla na om tih Judah bangla hing pawt atah, balae tih namtom te Judah bangla na tanolh,” ka ti nah.
But when I saw that not they are walking uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said (to Peter *N+kO) before all; If you yourself a Jew being like a Gentile and (not *N+kO) like a Jew live, (why *N+kO) the Gentiles do you compel to Judaize?
15 Mamih kah coengnah he Judah tih hlangtholh tah namtom kah tloe moenih.
We ourselves by birth Jews and not of [the] Gentiles sinners;
16 Jesuh Khrih kah tangnah lamlong pawt atah olkhueng dongkah khoboe loh hlang a tang sak pawt te khaw ming uh. Mamih loh Khrih Jesuh ni n'tangnah. Te daengah ni olkhueng kah khoboe nen pawt tih Khrih kah tangnah lamloh n'tang uh eh. Te dongah olkhueng kah khoboe loh pumsa boeih he tang sak mahpawh.
knowing (then *no) that not is justified a man by works of law only except through faith from Jesus Christ even we ourselves in Christ Jesus believed, that we may be justified by faith from Christ and not by works of the Law; (since *N+kO) by works of the Law not will be justified any flesh.
17 Tedae Khrih ah tang ham aka tlap rhoek loh amamih khaw hlangtholh rhoek la m'hmuh uh atah Khrih he tholh kah tueihyoeih van maco. Tlamte om mahpawh.
If however seeking to be justified in Christ have been found also we ourselves sinners, surely not [is] Christ of sin a minister? Never would it be!
18 Ka phae tangtae rhoek te koep ka sak atah kamah he boekoekkung la ka tueng coeng.
If for that I had torn down, these things again I build, a transgressor myself I prove;
19 Kai tah olkhueng lamloh olkhueng taengah ka duek daengah Pathen taengah ka hing eh.
I myself for through [the] Law to [the] Law died, that to God I may live.
to Christ I have been crucified with; I live now no longer no longer I myself, lives however in me myself Christ; that which then now I live in [the] flesh, through faith I live that from the Son of God (and Christ *O) the [One who] having loved me and having given up Himself for me.
21 Pathen kah lungvatnah te ka hnawt pawh. Duengnah he olkhueng lamlong koinih Khrih tah a yoeyap la duek coeng.
Not I do set aside the grace of God; if for through [the] Law righteousness [is], then Christ for naught died.
