Now when they came into the house as he lay on his bed in his bedroom, they struck him, killed him, beheaded him, and took his head, and went by the way of the Arabah all night.

| وَكَانَ إِيشْبُوشَثُ آنَئِذٍ مُضْطَجِعاً عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ فِي مُخْدَعِ نَوْمِهِ، فَطَعَنَاهُ وَقَتَلاَهُ وَقَطَعَا رَأْسَهُ وَحَمَلاَهُ وجَدَّا فِي الْهَرَبِ طَوَالَ اللَّيْلِ عَبْرَ طَرِيقِ الْعَرَبَةِ. |
তাতে তেওঁৰ শোৱা কোঠালিত নিজ খাটত শুই থাকোঁতেই, তেওঁলোকে ভিতৰলৈ সোমাই গৈ আঘাত কৰি তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে৷ পাছত তেওঁৰ মূৰ কাটি, সেই মূৰ লৈ অৰাবাৰ বাটেদি ওৰে ৰাতি যাত্ৰা কৰিলে।

ঈশ্বোশত যখন তাঁর শোবার ঘরে বিছানার উপর শুয়েছিলেন, তখনই তারা সেই বাড়িতে ঢুকেছিল। তাঁকে ছোরা মেরে খুন করার পর তারা তাঁর মুণ্ডুটি কেটে নিয়েছিল। সেটি সঙ্গে নিয়ে তারা সারারাত অরাবার পথ ধরে হেঁটে গেল।
