2 Samuel 4
1 Forsothe Isbosech, the sone of Saul, herde that Abner hadde falde doun in Ebron; and `hise hondis weren discoumfortid, and al Israel was disturblid.
Und der Sohn Sauls hörte, daß Abner in Chebron gestorben wäre, und seine Hände wurden schlaff, und ganz Israel ward bestürzt.
2 Forsothe twei men, princes of theues, weren to the sone of Saul; name to oon was Baana, and name to the tother was Rechab, the sones of Remmon Berothite, of the sones of Beniamyn; for also Beroth is arettid in Beniamyn.
Und zwei Männer waren Oberste von Kriegshaufen bei Sauls Sohn; der Name des einen Baanah, und der Name des zweiten Rechab, Söhne Rimmons, des Beerothiters, von den Söhnen Benjamins; denn auch Beeroth ward zu Benjamin gerechnet.
3 And men of Beroth fledden in to Gethaym; and thei weren comelyngis there `til to that tyme.
Und die Beerothiter waren entwichen nach Gitthajim und hielten sich dort als Fremdlinge auf bis auf diesen Tag.
4 Forsothe a sone feble in feet was to Jonathas, the sone of Saul; forsothe he was fyue yeer eld, whanne the messanger cam fro Saul and Jonathas, fro Jezrael. Therfor his nurse took hym, and fledde; and whanne sche hastide to fle, sche felde doun, and the child was maad lame; and `he hadde a name Myphibosech.
Und Jonathan, Sauls Sohn, hatte einen Sohn, der war lahm an beiden Füßen; fünf Jahre alt war er, als das Gerücht über Saul und Jonathan von Jisreel kam. Und seine Wärterin hob ihn auf und floh, und es geschah, daß er in der Hast ihrer Flucht fiel und lahm wurde, und sein Name war Mephiboscheth.
5 Therfor Rechab and Baana, sones of Remmon of Beroth, camen, and entriden in the hoot dai in to the hows of Isbosech, that slepte on his bed in myd dai, `and the womman oischer of the hous clensynge wheete, slepte strongli.
Und es gingen die Söhne Rimmons, des Beerothiters, Rechab und Baanah, und kamen in der Hitze des Tages zum Hause des Isch-Boscheth, und er lag auf seinem Lager am Mittag.
6 Forsothe thei entriden into the hows pryueli, and token eeris of whete; and Rechab, and Baana, his brother, smytiden Isbosech in the schar, and fledden.
Und siehe, sie waren bis in die Mitte des Hauses gekommen, Weizen zu holen, und sie stachen ihn in die fünfte Rippe, und Rechab und Baanah, sein Bruder, entrannen.
7 Sotheli whanne thei hadden entrid in to the hous, he slepte on his bedde in a closet; and thei smytiden and killiden hym; and whanne `his heed was takun, thei yeden bi the weie of deseert in al the nyyt.
Denn als sie in das Haus kamen, lag er auf seinem Bette in seiner Schlafkammer, und sie schlugen ihn und töteten ihn, und schnitten den Kopf ab und nahmen seinen Kopf und gingen die ganze Nacht hin den Weg der Arabah.
8 And thei brouyten the heed of Isbosech to Dauid, in Ebron, and thei seiden to the kyng, Lo! the heed of Isbosech, sone of Saul, thin enemy, that souyte thi lijf; and the Lord yaf to dai to oure lord the kyng veniaunce of Saul and of his seed.
Und sie brachten den Kopf des Isch-Boscheth zu David nach Chebron und sprachen zum König: Siehe da den Kopf von Isch-Boscheth, dem Sohne Sauls, deines Feindes, der dir nach der Seele trachtete, aber Jehovah hat an diesem Tage meinem Herrn, dem König, Rache an Saul und seinem Samen gegeben.
9 Forsothe Dauid answeride to Rechab, and Baana, his brother, the sones of Remmon of Beroth, and seide to hem, The Lord lyueth, that delyueride my lijf fro al angwisch;
Und David antwortete dem Rechab und seinem Bruder Baanah, den Söhnen des Beerothiters Rimmon, und sprach zu ihnen: Beim Leben Jehovahs, Der meine Seele aus aller Drangsal eingelöst hat,
10 for Y helde hym that telde to me, and seide, Saul is deed, which man gesside hym silf to telle prosperitees, and Y killide hym in Sichelech, to whom it bihofte me yyue meede for message;
Fürwahr, den, der mir ansagte und sprach: Siehe, Saul ist tot, und der in seinen Augen wie ein guter Bote war war, den ergriff ich und erwürgte ihn in Ziklag anstatt ihm etwas für seine Kunde zu geben.
11 hou myche more now, whanne wickid men han slayn a giltles man in his hows on his bed, schal I not seke his blood of youre hond, and schal Y do awey you fro erthe?
Wieviel mehr, da ungerechte Männer einen gerechten Mann in seinem Hause auf seinem Lager erwürgt! Wie sollte ich nun nicht sein Blut fordern von eurer Hand und euch von der Erde wegschaffen?
12 Therfor Dauid comaundide to his children, and thei killiden hem; and thei kittiden awei the hondis and `feet of hem, and hangiden hem ouer the cisterne in Ebron. Forsothe thei token the heed of Isbosech, and birieden in the sepulcre of Abner, in Ebron.
Und David gebot den Jungen und sie erwürgten sie; und sie schnitten ihnen Hände und Füße ab und hingen sie auf am Teiche von Chebron; den Kopf des Isch-Boscheth aber nahmen sie und begruben ihn in Abners Grabe in Chebron.
