| اما‌ای برادران در خصوص وقتها و زمانها، احتیاج ندارید که به شما بنویسم. | ۱ 1 |
But as to the times and the moments, there is no need, friends, for anyone to write to you.
| زیراخود شما به تحقیق آگاهید که روز خداوند چون دزد در شب می‌آید. | ۲ 2 |
You yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come just as a thief comes in the night.
| زیرا هنگامی که می‌گویندسلامتی و امان است، آنگاه هلاکت ایشان راناگهان فرو خواهد گرفت، چون درد زه زن حامله را و هرگز رستگار نخواهند شد. | ۳ 3 |
When people are saying “All is quiet and safe,” it is then that, like birth pains on a pregnant woman, ruin comes suddenly upon them, and there will be no escape!
| لیکن شما‌ای برادران در ظلمت نیستید تا آن روز چون دزد برشما آید، | ۴ 4 |
You, however, friends, are not in darkness, that the daylight should take you by surprise as if you were thieves.
| زیرا جمیع شما پسران نور و پسران روز هستید، از شب و ظلمت نیستیم. | ۵ 5 |
For you all are children of light and children of the day. We have nothing to do with night, or darkness.
| بنابراین مثل دیگران به خواب نرویم بلکه بیدار و هشیارباشیم. | ۶ 6 |
Therefore let us not sleep as others do. No, let us be watchful and self-controlled.
| زیرا خوابیدگان در شب می‌خوابند ومستان در شب مست می‌شوند. | ۷ 7 |
It is at night that people sleep, and at night that drunkards get drunk.
| لیکن ما که ازروز هستیم، هشیار بوده، جوشن ایمان و محبت وخود امید نجات را بپوشیم. | ۸ 8 |
But let us, who belong to the day, control ourselves, and put on faith and love as a breast plate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
| زیرا خدا ما را تعیین نکرد برای غضب بلکه بجهت تحصیل نجات، بوسیله خداوند ما عیسی مسیح، | ۹ 9 |
For God destined us, not for wrath, but to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us,
| که برای مامرد تا خواه بیدار باشیم و خواه خوابیده، همراه وی زیست کنیم. | ۱۰ 10 |
that, whether we are still watching or have fallen asleep, we may live with him.
| پس همدیگر را تسلی دهیدو یکدیگر را بنا کنید، چنانکه هم می‌کنید. | ۱۱ 11 |
Therefore encourage one another, and try to build up one another’s characters, as indeed you are doing.
| اما‌ای برادران به شما التماس داریم که بشناسید آنانی را که در میان شما زحمت می‌کشند و پیشوایان شما در خداوند بوده، شمارا نصیحت می‌کنند. | ۱۲ 12 |
We beg you, friends, to value those who toil among you, and are your leaders in the Lord’s service, and give you counsel.
| و ایشان را در نهایت محبت، به‌سبب عملشان محترم دارید و بایکدیگر صلح کنید. | ۱۳ 13 |
Hold them in the very greatest esteem and affection for the sake of their work. Live at peace with one another.
| لیکن‌ای برادران، از شمااستدعا داریم که سرکشان را تنبیه نمایید وکوتاه دلان را دلداری دهید و ضعفا را حمایت کنید و با جمیع مردم تحمل کنید. | ۱۴ 14 |
We entreat you also, friends – warn the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, give a helping hand to the weak, and be patient with everyone.
| زنهار کسی با کسی به سزای بدی بدی نکند، بلکه دائم بایکدیگر و با جمیع مردم در‌پی نیکویی بکوشید. | ۱۵ 15 |
Take care that none of you ever pays back wrong for wrong, but always follow the kindest course with one another and with everyone.
| پیوسته شادمان باشید. | ۱۶ 16 |
Always be joyful;
| همیشه دعا کنید. | ۱۷ 17 |
never cease to pray;
| در هر امری شاکر باشید که این است اراده خدادر حق شما در مسیح عیسی. | ۱۸ 18 |
under all circumstances give thanks to God. For this is his will for you as made known in Christ Jesus.
| روح را اطفامکنید. | ۱۹ 19 |
Do not quench the Spirit;
| نبوتها را خوار مشمارید. | ۲۰ 20 |
do not make light of preaching.
| همه‌چیزرا تحقیق کنید، و به آنچه نیکو است متمسک باشید. | ۲۱ 21 |
Bring everything to the test; cling to what is good;
| از هر نوع بدی احتراز نمایید. | ۲۲ 22 |
shun every form of evil.
| اما خود خدای سلامتی، شما را بالکل مقدس گرداناد و روح و نفس و بدن شما تمام بی‌عیب محفوظ باشد در وقت آمدن خداوند ماعیسی مسیح. | ۲۳ 23 |
May God himself, the giver of peace, make you altogether holy; and may your spirits, souls, and bodies be kept altogether faultless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
| امین است دعوت کننده شما که این را هم خواهد کرد. | ۲۴ 24 |
He who calls you will not fail you; he will complete his work.
| ای برادران، برای ما دعا کنید. | ۲۵ 25 |
Friends, pray for us.
| جمیع برادران را به بوسه مقدسانه تحیت نمایید. | ۲۶ 26 |
Greet all the Lord’s followers with a sacred kiss.
| شمارا به خداوند قسم می‌دهم که این رساله برای جمیع برادران مقدس خوانده شود. | ۲۷ 27 |
I order you in the Lord’s name to have this letter read to all the brethren.
| فیض خداوند ما عیسی مسیح با شما بادآمین. | ۲۸ 28 |
May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
