ルカの福音書 8
1 その後、イエスは、神の国を説き、その福音を宣べ伝えながら、町や村を次から次に旅をしておられた。十二弟子もお供をした。
And it came to pass that he traveled through, by city and village in succession, announcing and preaching the good news of the kingdom of God, and the twelve men with him,
2 また、悪霊や病気を直していただいた女たち、すなわち、七つの悪霊を追い出していただいたマグダラの女と呼ばれるマリヤ、
and certain women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
3 ヘロデの執事クーザの妻ヨハンナ、スザンナ、そのほか自分の財産をもって彼らに仕えている大ぜいの女たちもいっしょであった。
and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many other women who served them from the things they possessed.
4 さて、大ぜいの人の群れが集まり、また方々の町からも人々がみもとにやって来たので、イエスはたとえを用いて話された。
And when a large multitude gathered together, and those coming to him from each city, he spoke by a parable.
5 「種を蒔く人が種蒔きに出かけた。蒔いているとき、道ばたに落ちた種があった。すると、人に踏みつけられ、空の鳥がそれを食べてしまった。
The man who sows went forth to sow his seed. And during his sowing, some fell by the way, and it was trampled, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
6 また、別の種は岩の上に落ち、生え出たが、水分がなかったので、枯れてしまった。
And another fell on the rock, and having grown, it withered away because of not having moisture.
7 また、別の種はいばらの真中に落ちた。ところが、いばらもいっしょに生え出て、それを押しふさいでしまった。
And another fell amidst the thorns, and having grown together, the thorns choked it.
8 また、別の種は良い地に落ち、生え出て、百倍の実を結んだ。」 イエスは、これらのことを話しながら「聞く耳のある者は聞きなさい。」と叫ばれた。
And another fell on the good ground, and having grown it produced fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things, he called out, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
9 さて、弟子たちは、このたとえがどんな意味かをイエスに尋ねた。
And his disciples questioned him, saying, What is this parable?
10 そこでイエスは言われた。「あなたがたに、神の国の奥義を知ることが許されているが、ほかの者には、たとえで話します。彼らが見ていても見えず、聞いていても悟らないためです。
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the others in parables, so that seeing they would not see, and hearing they would not understand.
11 このたとえの意味はこうです。種は神のことばです。
Now the parable is this. The seed is the word of God.
12 道ばたに落ちるとは、こういう人たちのことです。みことばを聞いたが、あとから悪魔が来て、彼らが信じて救われることのないように、その人たちの心から、みことばを持ち去ってしまうのです。
And those by the way are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, lest having believed, they would be saved.
13 岩の上に落ちるとは、こういう人たちのことです。聞いたときには喜んでみことばを受け入れるが、根がないので、しばらくは信じていても、試練のときになると、身を引いてしまうのです。
And those on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. And these have no root, who believe for a time, and withdraw in time of trial.
14 いばらの中に落ちるとは、こういう人たちのことです。みことばを聞きはしたが、とかくしているうちに、この世の心づかいや、富や、快楽によってふさがれて、実が熟するまでにならないのです。
And that which fell in the thorns, these are those who heard, and as they go they are choked by cares and wealth and pleasures of life, and do not bring to maturity.
15 しかし、良い地に落ちるとは、こういう人たちのことです。正しい、良い心でみことばを聞くと、それをしっかりと守り、よく耐えて、実を結ばせるのです。
But those in the good ground, these are those who in an good and right heart, having heard the word, hold it firm, and bring forth fruit in perseverance.
16 あかりをつけてから、それを器で隠したり、寝台の下に置いたりする者はありません。燭台の上に置きます。はいって来る人々に、その光が見えるためです。
And no man, having lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or places it under a bed, but places it on a lampstand, so that those who enter in may see the light.
17 隠れているもので、あらわにならぬものはなく、秘密にされているもので、知られず、また現われないものはありません。
For there is no secret that will not become visible, nor hid, that will not be known and come to be visible.
18 だから、聞き方に注意しなさい。というのは、持っている人は、さらに与えられ、持たない人は、持っていると思っているものまでも取り上げられるからです。」
Notice therefore how ye hear. For whoever has, to him will be given, and whoever has not, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.
19 イエスのところに母と兄弟たちが来たが、群衆のためにそばへ近寄れなかった。
And his mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him because of the crowd.
20 それでイエスに、「あなたのおかあさんと兄弟たちが、あなたに会おうとして、外に立っています。」という知らせがあった。
And it was reported to him, saying, Thy mother and thy brothers stand outside, desiring to see thee.
21 ところが、イエスは人々にこう答えられた。「わたしの母、わたしの兄弟たちとは、神のことばを聞いて行なう人たちです。」
But having answered, he said to them, My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.
22 そのころのある日のこと、イエスは弟子たちといっしょに舟に乗り、「さあ、湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう。」と言われた。それで弟子たちは舟を出した。
Now it came to pass on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, also his disciples. And he said to them, Let us pass through to the other side of the lake. And they launched forth,
23 舟で渡っている間にイエスはぐっすり眠ってしまわれた。ところが突風が湖に吹きおろして来たので、弟子たちは水をかぶって危険になった。
but as they sailed he began to asleep. And a storm of wind came down on the lake, and they were filling up, and were in peril.
24 そこで、彼らは近寄って行ってイエスを起こし、「先生、先生。私たちはおぼれて死にそうです。」と言った。イエスは、起き上がって、風と荒波とをしかりつけられた。すると風も波も治まり、なぎになった。
And having approached, they awoke him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing. And having risen, he rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it became calm.
25 イエスは彼らに、「あなたがたの信仰はどこにあるのです。」と言われた。弟子たちは驚き恐れて互いに言った。「風も水も、お命じになれば従うとは、いったいこの方はどういう方なのだろう。」
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And having feared, they wondered, saying to each other, Who then is this man, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
26 こうして彼らは、ガリラヤの向こう側のゲラサ人の地方に着いた。
And they sailed toward the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 イエスが陸に上がられると、この町の者で悪霊につかれている男がイエスに出会った。彼は、長い間着物も着けず、家には住まないで、墓場に住んでいた。
And when he came forth upon the land, a certain man met him out of the city, who had demons of a considerable time. And he wore no clothing, and did not dwell in a house, but in the sepulchers.
28 彼はイエスを見ると、叫び声をあげ、御前にひれ伏して大声で言った。「いと高き神の子、イエスさま。いったい私に何をしようというのです。お願いです。どうか私を苦しめないでください。」
And when he saw Jesus, having cried out, he fell down before him. And in a great voice he said, What is with me and with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.
29 それは、イエスが、汚れた霊に、この人から出て行け、と命じられたからである。汚れた霊が何回となくこの人を捕えたので、彼は鎖や足かせでつながれて看視されていたが、それでもそれらを断ち切っては悪霊によって荒野に追いやられていたのである。
For he commanded the unclean spirit to come out from the man, for many times it had seized him. And he was bound with chains and shackles, and guarded. And breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desolate regions.
30 イエスが、「何という名か。」とお尋ねになると、「レギオンです。」と答えた。悪霊が大ぜい彼にはいっていたからである。
And Jesus demanded him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion, because many demons were entered into him.
And they entreated him that he would not command them to go out into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 ちょうど、山のそのあたりに、おびただしい豚の群れが飼ってあったので、悪霊どもは、その豚にはいることを許してくださいと願った。イエスはそれを許された。
Now a herd of considerable swine was there feeding on the mountain, and they implored him that he would allow them to enter into those. And he allowed them.
33 悪霊どもは、その人から出て、豚にはいった。すると、豚の群れはいきなりがけを駆け下って湖にはいり、おぼれ死んだ。
And the demons having come out from the man, they entered into the swine. And the herd stampeded down the slope into the lake, and were drowned.
34 飼っていた者たちは、この出来事を見て逃げ出し、町や村々でこの事を告げ知らせた。
And when those who tended them saw what happened, they fled and reported it in the city and in the fields.
35 人々が、この出来事を見に来て、イエスのそばに来たところ、イエスの足もとに、悪霊の去った男が着物を着て、正気に返って、すわっていた。人々は恐ろしくなった。
And they came out to see what happened. And they came to Jesus, and found the man, from whom the demons had gone out, sitting near the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
36 目撃者たちは、悪霊につかれていた人の救われた次第を、その人々に知らせた。
And also those who saw it informed them how the man who was demon-possessed was saved.
37 ゲラサ地方の民衆はみな、すっかりおびえてしまい、イエスに自分たちのところから離れていただきたいと願った。そこで、イエスは舟に乗って帰られた。
And the whole multitude of the region around the Gadarenes besought him to depart from them, because they were gripped by great fear. And he, having embarked into the boat, returned.
38 そのとき、悪霊を追い出された人が、お供をしたいとしきりに願ったが、イエスはこう言って彼を帰された。
But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him to be with him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 「家に帰って、神があなたにどんなに大きなことをしてくださったかを、話して聞かせなさい。」そこで彼は出て行って、イエスが自分にどんなに大きなことをしてくださったかを、町中に言い広めた。
Return to thy house, and relate everything God did for thee. And he departed, proclaiming throughout the whole city how many things Jesus did for him.
40 さて、イエスが帰られると、群衆は喜んで迎えた。みなイエスを待ちわびていたからである。
And it came to pass during Jesus returning, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 するとそこに、ヤイロという人が来た。この人は会堂管理者であった。彼はイエスの足もとにひれ伏して自分の家に来ていただきたいと願った。
And behold, there came a man whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And having fallen down near Jesus' feet, he besought him to come into his house,
42 彼には十二歳ぐらいのひとり娘がいて、死にかけていたのである。イエスがお出かけになると、群衆がみもとに押し迫って来た。
because there was with him an only begotten daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. But during his going the multitudes thronged him.
43 ときに、十二年の間長血をわずらった女がいた。だれにも直してもらえなかったこの女は、
And a woman being with an issue of blood for twelve years, who, although she spent her entire living on physicians, was unable to be healed by any,
44 イエスのうしろに近寄って、イエスの着物のふさにさわった。すると、たちどころに出血が止まった。
having come from behind, she touched the border of his garment. And immediately the issue of her blood stayed.
45 イエスは、「わたしにさわったのは、だれですか。」と言われた。みな自分ではないと言ったので、ペテロは、「先生。この大ぜいの人が、ひしめき合って押しているのです。」と言った。
And Jesus said, Who is he who touched me? But when they all denied, Peter and those with him, said, Master, the multitudes come together and crowd thee, and thou say, Who is he who touched me?
46 しかし、イエスは、「だれかが、わたしにさわったのです。わたしから力が出て行くのを感じたのだから。」と言われた。
But Jesus said, Who touched me? For I perceived power having gone forth from me.
47 女は、隠しきれないと知って、震えながら進み出て、御前にひれ伏し、すべての民の前で、イエスにさわったわけと、たちどころにいやされた次第とを話した。
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling. And having fallen down before him, she declared to him in the presence of all the people for what reason she touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 そこで、イエスは彼女に言われた。「娘よ。あなたの信仰があなたを直したのです。安心して行きなさい。」
And he said to her, Cheer up, Daughter. Thy faith has healed thee. Go in peace.
49 イエスがまだ話しておられるときに、会堂管理者の家から人が来て言った。「あなたのお嬢さんはなくなりました。もう、先生を煩わすことはありません。」
While he still spoke, some man comes from the synagogue ruler, saying to him, Thy daughter has died. Do not trouble the teacher.
50 これを聞いて、イエスは答えられた。「恐れないで、ただ信じなさい。そうすれば、娘は直ります。」
But having heard it, Jesus answered him, saying, Fear not, only believe and she will be saved.
51 イエスは家にはいられたが、ペテロとヨハネとヤコブ、それに子どもの父と母のほかは、だれもいっしょにはいることをお許しにならなかった。
And when he came to the house, he did not allow any man to enter in except Peter and John and James, and the father of the girl and the mother.
52 人々はみな、娘のために泣き悲しんでいた。しかし、イエスは言われた。「泣かなくてもよい。死んだのではない。眠っているのです。」
And all were weeping and bewailing her. But he said, Weep not. She did not die, but sleeps.
53 人々は、娘が死んだことを知っていたので、イエスをあざ笑っていた。
And they ridiculed him, knowing that she died.
54 しかしイエスは、娘の手を取って、叫んで言われた。「子どもよ。起きなさい。」
But having sent them all away outside, having taken her by the hand, he called out, saying, Girl, awake.
55 すると、娘の霊が戻って、娘はただちに起き上がった。それでイエスは、娘に食事をさせるように言いつけられた。
And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. And he commanded to give her to eat.
56 両親がひどく驚いていると、イエスは、この出来事をだれにも話さないように命じられた。
And her parents were amazed, but he ordered them to tell no man that which happened.
