Leviticus 21:10
“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.

| وَالْكَاهِنُ الأَعْظَمُ بَيْنَ إِخْوَتِهِ، الَّذِي سُكِبَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ دُهْنُ الْمَسْحَةِ، وَتَكَرَّسَ لِيَرْتَدِيَ الثِّيَابَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ، لاَ يَكْشِفُ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ وَلاَ يَشُقُّ ثِيَابَهُ حِدَاداً عَلَى مَيْتٍ. |

আর নিজের ভাইদের মধ্যে প্রধান যাজক, যার মাথাতে অভিষেক-তেল ঢালা হয়েছে, যে ব্যক্তি হস্তপূরণ দ্বারা পবিত্র বস্ত্র পরার অধিকারী হয়েছে, সে নিজের মাথা ন্যাড়া করবে না ও নিজের কাপড় ছিঁড়বে না।

The Supreme Priest is the one among his relatives who has been [appointed for that work] by having his head anointed with olive oil. He is also the one who has been appointed to wear the special garments that priests wear. He must not allow the hair on his [head] to remain uncombed, and he must not tear his clothes [when he is mourning for someone].

Wer aber Hoherpriester ist unter seinen Brüdern, auf dessen Haupt das Salböl gegossen worden, und dem man die Hand gefüllt hat bei der Einkleidung, der soll sein Haupt nicht entblößen und seine Kleider nicht zerreißen.

Και ο ιερεύς ο μέγας μεταξύ των αδελφών αυτού, επί την κεφαλήν του οποίου εχύθη το έλαιον του χρίσματος, και όστις καθιερώθη διά να ενδύηται τας ιεράς στολάς, την κεφαλήν αυτού δεν θέλει αποκαλύψει, ουδέ τα ιμάτια αυτού θέλει διασχίσει·
καὶ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας ἀπὸ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἐπικεχυμένου ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ ἐλαίου τοῦ χριστοῦ καὶ τετελειωμένου ἐνδύσασθαι τὰ ἱμάτια τὴν κεφαλὴν οὐκ ἀποκιδαρώσει καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια οὐ διαρρήξει
જે પોતાના ભાઈઓ વચ્ચે પ્રમુખ યાજક હોય, જેને તેલથી અભિષેક કરાયો હોય અને વસ્ત્રો પહેરવા માટે શુદ્ધિકરણ કરાયું હોય તેણે પોતાના વાળ છૂટા મૂકવા નહિ તથા પોતાના વસ્ત્રો ફાડવા નહિ.

| והכהן הגדול מאחיו אשר יוצק על ראשו שמן המשחה ומלא את ידו ללבש את הבגדים--את ראשו לא יפרע ובגדיו לא יפרם |
| וְהַכֹּהֵן֩ הַגָּדֹ֨ול מֵאֶחָ֜יו אֲֽשֶׁר־יוּצַ֥ק עַל־רֹאשֹׁ֣ו ׀ שֶׁ֤מֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה֙ וּמִלֵּ֣א אֶת־יָדֹ֔ו לִלְבֹּ֖שׁ אֶת־הַבְּגָדִ֑ים אֶת־רֹאשֹׁו֙ לֹ֣א יִפְרָ֔ע וּבְגָדָ֖יו לֹ֥א יִפְרֹֽם׃ |
