< Luka 22 >

1 Afei, na Yudafo Apiti Afahyɛ a wɔsan frɛ no Twam Afahyɛ no abɛn.
Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.

The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill him, for they feared the people.
3 Satan kowuraa Yuda a wɔfrɛ no Iskariot a ɔyɛ asuafo dumien no mu baako no mu.
Satan entered into Judas, who was called Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve.
4 Yuda kɔɔ asɔfo mpanyin ne Asɔredan no mu awɛmfo mpanyimfo no nkyɛn ne wɔn kosusuw ɔkwan ko a ɔbɛfa so ayi Yesu ama wɔn no ho.
He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
5 Wɔn ani gyei, penee so sɛ wɔbɛma no sika.
They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
6 Efi saa bere no, Yuda hwehwɛɛ ɔkwan a ɔbɛfa so ama wɔakyere Yesu bere a nnipa dodow biara nni ne ho.
He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the crowd.
7 Afei, da a wokum twam guan de di brodo a mmɔkaw nni mu no duu no,
The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover lamb must be sacrificed.
8 Yesu somaa Petro ne Yohane se, “Monkɔyɛ Twam Afahyɛ aduan a yebedi no.”
He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat."
9 Wobisaa no se, “Ɛhe na wopɛ sɛ yɛkɔyɛ aduan no?”
They said to him, "Where do you want us to prepare?"
10 Obuaa wɔn se, “Sɛ mudu kurow no mu a, mubehu obi a wakɔ asu reba. Munni nʼakyi nkɔ ofi a ɔbɛkɔ mu no mu,
He said to them, "Look, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
11 na mummisa ofiwura no se, ‘Yɛn kyerɛkyerɛfo se ɛhe na woasiesie ama ɔne nʼasuafo no sɛ wommedi Twam Afahyɛ aduan no?’
Tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"'
12 Ɔde mo bɛkɔ abansoro asa kɛse bi a wɔasiesie mu fɛfɛɛfɛ so. Ɛhɔ na monkɔto pon no.”
He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there."
13 Wɔkɔɔ kurow no mu no, wohuu sɛnea Yesu kae no pɛpɛɛpɛ ma wɔyɛɛ twam aduan no wɔ hɔ.
They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 Bere no dui no, Yesu ne nʼasuafo no kɔtenatenaa didipon no ho.
When the hour had come, he reclined at the table, and the apostles joined him.
15 Wɔtete hɔ no, Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mepɛɛ sɛ me ne mo bɛtena ase, ato nsa adi saa Twam aduan yi, ansa na mahu amane no akyɛ.
He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
16 Mereka akyerɛ mo se, saa adidi yi akyi no, merenni Twam aduan yi bio kosi sɛ Onyankopɔn Ahenni no bɛba.”
for I say to you, I will not eat of it again until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God."
17 Afei Yesu faa kuruwa, daa Onyankopɔn ase na ɔde maa nʼasuafo no kae se, “Munnye na obiara nnom bi.
He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, "Take this, and share it among yourselves,
18 Mereka akyerɛ mo se, merennom bobesa yi bi bio kosi sɛ Onyankopɔn ahenni no bɛba.”
for I tell you, from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."
19 Afei, ɔfaa brodo daa Onyankopɔn ase, bubuu mu de maa nʼasuafo no kae se, “Eyi ne me nipadua a mede rema mo. Munnye nni. Da biara a mubedi saa brodo yi bi no, momfa nkae me.”
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
20 Saa ara nso na adidi no akyi no, ɔfaa kuruwa kae se, “Kuruwa yi ne me mogya a merehwie agu ama mo sɛ apam foforo a wɔnam so begye mo nkwa.
Likewise, he took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
21 Nanso mo a mo ne me te adidii ha yi mu baako na obeyi me ama.
But look, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
22 Etwa sɛ miwu, sɛnea Onyankopɔn ahyehyɛ no, nanso nea obeyi me ama no de, onnue.”
The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed."
23 Asuafo no bisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho, pɛɛ sɛ wohu wɔn mu nea obeyi no ama no.
They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.

There arose also a contention among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
25 Yesu tee no, ɔkae se, “Amanaman mu atumfo hyɛ wɔn a wodi wɔn so no so ma wɔn nso bu wɔn ho sɛ Adehye.
He said to them, "The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called 'benefactors.'
26 Nanso mo de, nea ɔpɛ sɛ ɔyɛ mo so panyin no nyɛ sɛ mo mu akumaa, na nea odi mo so no nso nyɛ mo mu somfo.
But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
27 Merebisa mo se, nnipa baanu yi mu hena na odi ne yɔnko so, nea ɔte didipon ho anaa nea ɔsom nea ɔte didipon no ho no? Nanso me de, mewɔ mo mu sɛ mo somfo.
For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves.
28 Me ne mo na afa ɔhaw ne amane mu a, moda so ne me nam.
But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
29 Mʼagya de ahenni no ama me. Saa ara nso na mede rema mo.
I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
30 Na mo ne me ato nsa adidi, na moatumi abu Israel mmusuakuw dumien no atɛn.”
that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
31 Afei Awurade kae se, “Simon, Simon! Monhwɛ yiye na ɔbonsam pɛ sɛ ɔsɔ mo hwɛ.
And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, look, Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat,

33 Petro buaa no se, “Awurade, ɛyɛ me pɛ sɛ me ne wo bɛda afiase, na sɛ ɛyɛ owu mpo nso a, me ne wo bewu.”
He said to him, "Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death."
34 Yesu nso buaa no se, “Petro, mereka akyerɛ wo se, nnɛ akokɔ remmɔn na woapa me mprɛnsa.”
He said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times."
35 Afei Yesu bisaa nʼasuafo no se, “Bere a mesomaa mo a na munkura sika nkotoku anaa akwantu kotoku na monhyɛ mpaboa no, biribi ho hiaa mo ana?” Asuafo no buaa no se, “Dabi, biribiara ho anhia yɛn.”
He said to them, "When I sent you out without money bag, and pack, and shoes, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."
36 Yesu ka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Afei de, nea ɔwɔ sika no, ɔmfa; nea ɔwɔ akwantu kotoku no nso, ɔmfa. Nea onni afoa no ntɔn ne ntama mfa nkɔtɔ bi.
Then he said to them, "But now, whoever has a money bag must take it, and likewise a pack. Whoever has none, must sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
37 Na bere adu sɛ nkɔm a wɔhyɛ faa me ho sɛ, ‘Wɔbɛkan no afra nnebɔneyɛfo mu’ no bɛba mu. Ɛsɛ sɛ nkɔm biara a wɔahyɛ afa me ho no ba mu.”
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: 'And he was numbered with transgressors.' For that which concerns me has an end."
38 Asuafo no ka kyerɛɛ Yesu se, “Awurade, yɛwɔ afoa abien wɔ ha.” Yesu buae se, “Eye, ɛno ara dɔɔso.”
They said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." He said to them, "That is enough."

When he was at the place, he said to them, "Pray that you do not enter into temptation."
41 Afei ɔtwee ne ho fii asuafo no ho kɔɔ nkyɛn baabi kɔkotow, bɔɔ mpae se,
He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
43 Ogu so rebɔ mpae no, ɔbɔfo fi ɔsoro bɛhyɛɛ no den.
And an angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.

When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,
46 Ɔkae se, “Hwɛ! Moadeda? Monsɔre na mommɔ mpae na moankɔ sɔhwɛ mu.”
and said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation."
47 Yesu gu so rekasa no, nnipadɔm bi a Yuda Iskariot a ɔyɛ asuafo dumien no mu baako di wɔn anim baa ne so. Yuda Iskariot twiw bɛn Yesu few nʼafono.
While he was still speaking, look, a crowd came, and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.
48 Yesu bisaa no se, “Yuda, mfewano na wode reyi Onipa Ba no ama ana?”
But Jesus said to him, "Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"
49 Bere a asuafo a wɔwɔ ne ho no huu nea ɛreba no, wobisaa no se, “Awurade, yentwitwa wɔn afoa ana?”
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"
50 Asuafo no mu baako twaa Ɔsɔfopanyin no somfo no aso nifa.
A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

But Jesus answered and said, "No more of this." Then he touched his ear and healed him.

53 Bere a na me ne mo wɔ asɔredan mu no, moankyere me; eyi ne mo bere; nea sum di mu tumi.”
When I was with you in the temple daily, you did not stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."
54 Afei wɔkyeree Yesu de no kɔɔ Ɔsɔfopanyin fi. Bere a wɔde no rekɔ no, Petro gyee ne ho kaa akyi.
They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed from a distance.

And he went out, and wept bitterly.

As soon as it was day, the council of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,

They said, "Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth."
