Salmos 4
1 Al Músico principal: sobre Neginoth: Salmo de David. RESPÓNDEME cuando clamo, oh Dios de mi justicia: [estando] en angustia, tú me hiciste ensanchar: ten misericordia de mí, y oye mi oración.
[For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm by David.] Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. You set me free in my distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.
2 Hijos de los hombres, ¿hasta cuándo volveréis mi honra en infamia, amaréis la vanidad, y buscaréis la mentira? (Selah)
You sons of man, how long will you shame my honor, love what is worthless, chase after a lie? (Selah)
3 Sabed pues, que Jehová hizo apartar al pío para sí: Jehová oirá cuando yo á él clamare.
But know that Jehovah works wonders for his godly one; Jehovah will hear when I call to him.
4 Temblad, y no pequéis: conversad en vuestro corazón sobre vuestra cama, y desistid. (Selah)
Be angry, but do not sin. Ponder in your heart, but be at rest on your bed. (Selah)
5 Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, y confiad en Jehová.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in Jehovah.
6 Muchos dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? Alza sobre nosotros, oh Jehová, la luz de tu rostro.
Many say, "Who will show us any good?" Jehovah, lift up the light of your face upon us.
7 Tú diste alegría en mi corazón, más que [tienen ellos] en el tiempo que se multiplicó su grano y su mosto.
You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and wine and oil abound.
8 En paz me acostaré, y asimismo dormiré; porque solo tú, Jehová, me harás estar confiado.
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Jehovah alone, make me live in safety.
