Salmos 89
1 Las misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente: en generación y generación haré notoria tu verdad con mi boca.
An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth,
2 Porque dije: Para siempre será edificada misericordia en los cielos: en ellos afirmarás tu verdad.
For I said, 'To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.'
3 Hice alianza con mi escogido: juré a David mi siervo;
I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant:
4 Para siempre confirmaré tu simiente: y edificaré de generación en generación tu trono. (Selah)
'Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. (Selah)
5 Y celebrarán los cielos tu maravilla, o! Jehová: tu verdad también en la congregación de los santos.
and the heavens confess Thy wonders, O Jehovah, Thy faithfulness also [is] in an assembly of holy ones.
6 Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará con Jehová? ¿ Quién será semejante a Jehová entre los hijos de los dioses?
For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty?
7 Dios terrible en la grande congregación de los santos, y formidable sobre todos sus al rededores.
God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
8 Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como tú, fuerte - Jehová; y tu verdad al rededor de ti?
O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee — a strong Jah? And Thy faithfulness [is] round about Thee.
9 Tú dominas sobre la soberbia de la mar: cuando se levantan sus ondas, tú las haces sosegar.
Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.
10 Tú quebrantaste como muerto a Egipto; con el brazo de tu fortaleza esparciste a tus enemigos.
Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies.
11 Tuyos los cielos, tuya también la tierra: el mundo y su plenitud tú lo fundaste:
Thine [are] the heavens — the earth also [is] Thine, The habitable world and its fulness, Thou hast founded them.
12 Al aquilón y al austro tú los creaste: Tabor y Hermón en tu nombre cantarán.
North and south Thou hast appointed them, Tabor and Hermon in Thy name do sing.
13 Tuyo es el brazo con la valentía: fuerte es tu mano, ensalzada tu diestra.
Thou hast an arm with might, Strong is Thy hand — high Thy right hand.
14 Justicia y juicio es la compostura de tu trono: misericordia y verdad van delante de tu rostro.
Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Thy throne, Kindness and truth go before Thy face.
15 Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe cantarte alegremente: Jehová, a la luz de tu rostro andarán:
O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually.
16 En tu nombre se alegrarán todo el día: y en tu justicia se ensalzarán:
In Thy name they rejoice all the day, And in Thy righteousness they are exalted,
17 Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; y por tu buena voluntad ensalzarás nuestro cuerno.
For the beauty of their strength [art] Thou, And in Thy good will is our horn exalted,
18 Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo: y nuestro Rey es el Santo de Israel.
For of Jehovah [is] our shield, And of the Holy One of Israel our king.
19 Entonces hablaste en visión a tu misericordioso, y dijiste: Yo he puesto el socorro sobre valiente: ensalcé a un escogido de mi pueblo.
Then Thou hast spoken in vision, To Thy saint, yea, Thou sayest, I have placed help upon a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,
20 Hallé a David mi siervo: ungíle con el aceite de mi santidad:
I have found David My servant, With My holy oil I have anointed him.
21 Porque mi mano será firme con él; mi brazo también le fortificará:
With whom My hand is established, My arm also doth strengthen him.
22 No le atribulará enemigo: ni hijo de iniquidad le quebrantará:
An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not.
23 Mas yo quebrantaré delante de él a sus enemigos: y heriré a sus aborrecedores.
And I have beaten down before him his adversaries, And those hating him I plague,
24 Y mi verdad y mi misericordia serán con él; y en mi nombre será ensalzado su cuerno.
And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My name is his horn exalted.
25 Y pondré su mano en la mar, y en los ríos su diestra.
And I have set on the sea his hand, And on the rivers his right hand.
26 El me llamará: Mi padre eres tú, mi Dios, la roca de mi salud.
He proclaimeth me: 'Thou [art] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'
27 Yo también le pondré por primogénito; alto sobre los reyes de la tierra.
I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth.
28 Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia; y mi alianza será firme con él.
To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] stedfast with him.
29 Y pondré su simiente para siempre; y su trono como los días de los cielos.
And I have set his seed for ever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley; y no anduvieren en mis juicios:
If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;
31 Si profanaren mis estatutos; y no guardaren mis mandamientos:
If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,
32 Entonces visitaré con vara su rebelión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.
I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,
33 Mas mi misericordia no la quitaré de él: ni falsearé mi verdad.
And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34 No profanaré mi concierto, ni mudaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.
I profane not My covenant, And that which is going forth from My lips I change not.
35 Una vez juré por mi santuario: No mentiré a David.
Once I have sworn by My holiness, I lie not to David,
36 Su simiente será para siempre, y su trono como el sol delante de mí.
His seed is to the age, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,
37 Como la luna será firme para siempre, la cual será testigo fiel en el cielo. (Selah)
As the moon it is established — to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. (Selah)
38 Y tú desechaste, y menospreciaste a tu ungido, y airástete con él.
And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed,
39 Rompiste el concierto de tu siervo; profanaste a tierra su corona.
Hast rejected the covenant of Thy servant, Thou hast polluted to the earth his crown,
40 Aportillaste todos sus vallados; has quebrantado sus fortalezas.
Thou hast broken down all his hedges, Thou hast made his fenced places a ruin.
41 Robáronle todos los que pasaron por el camino: es oprobio a sus vecinos.
Spoiled him have all passing by the way, He hath been a reproach to his neighbours,
42 Ensalzaste la diestra de sus enemigos; alegraste a todos sus adversarios.
Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast caused all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Embotaste asimismo el filo de su espada; y no le levantaste en la batalla.
Also — Thou turnest back the sharpness of his sword, And hast not established him in battle,
44 Hiciste cesar su claridad, y echaste por tierra su trono.
Hast caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And his throne to the earth hast cast down.
45 Acortaste los días de su juventud; cubrístele de vergüenza. (Selah)
Thou hast shortened the days of his youth, Hast covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)
46 ¿Hasta cuándo, o! Jehová? ¿Esconderte has para siempre? ¿Arderá para siempre tu ira como el fuego?
Till when, O Jehovah, art Thou hidden? For ever doth Thy fury burn as fire?
47 Acuérdate cuanto sea mi tiempo: ¿por qué criaste sujetos a vanidad a todos los hijos del hombre?
Remember, I pray Thee, what [is] life-time? Wherefore in vain hast Thou created All the sons of men?
48 ¿Qué hombre vivirá, y no verá muerte? ¿escapará su alma del poder del sepulcro? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Who [is] the man that liveth, and doth not see death? He delivereth his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias? Jurado has a David por tu verdad.
Where [are] Thy former kindnesses, O Lord. Thou hast sworn to David in Thy faithfulness,
50 Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos, que yo llevo de muchos pueblos en mi seno:
Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Thy servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,
51 Porque tus enemigos, o! Jehová, han deshonrado, porque tus enemigos han deshonrado las pisadas de tu ungido.
Wherewith Thine enemies reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached The steps of Thine anointed.
52 Bendito Jehová para siempre. Amén y Amén.
Blessed [is] Jehovah to the age. Amen, and amen!
