Juan 15

1 Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Todo pámpano en mí que no lleva fruto, le quita; y todo aquel que lleva fruto, le limpia, para que lleve más fruto.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Ya vosotros sois limpios por la palabra que os he hablado.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Permanecéd en mí, y yo en vosotros. Como el pámpano no puede llevar fruto de sí mismo, si no permaneciere en la vid, así ni vosotros, si no permaneciereis en mí.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 Yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos: el que permanece en mí, y yo en él, éste lleva mucho fruto (porque sin mí nada podéis hacer.)

I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 Si alguno no permaneciere en mí, será echado fuera como mal pámpano, y se secará; y los cogen, y échan los en el fuego, y arden.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

7 Si permaneciereis en mí, y mis palabras permanecieren en vosotros, todo lo que quisiereis pediréis, y os será hecho.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8 En esto es glorificado mi Padre, en que llevéis mucho fruto; así seréis mis discípulos.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 Como el Padre me amó, también yo os he amado: sed constantes en mi amor.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 Si guardareis mis mandamientos, permaneceréis en mi amor: como yo también he guardado los mandamientos de mi Padre, y permanezco en su amor.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

11 Estas cosas os he hablado, para que mi gozo permanezca en vosotros, y vuestro gozo sea cumplido.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.

12 Este es mi mandamiento: Que os améis los unos a los otros, como yo os amé.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Nadie tiene mayor amor que éste, que ponga alguno su vida por sus amigos.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14 Vosotros sois mis amigos, si hiciereis las cosas que yo os mando.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Ya no os llamaré siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su Señor; mas os he llamado amigos, porque todas las cosas que oí de mi Padre, os he hecho conocer.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16 No me elegisteis vosotros a mí; mas yo os elegí a vosotros, y os he puesto para que vayáis, y llevéis fruto; y vuestro fruto permanezca; para que todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, él os lo dé.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

17 Esto os mando: Que os améis los unos a los otros.

These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18 Si el mundo os aborrece, sabéd que a mí me aborrecía, antes que a vosotros.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

19 Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo que es suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, sino que yo os elegí del mundo, por eso os aborrece el mundo.

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20 Acordáos de la palabra que yo os he dicho: No es el siervo mayor que su señor: si a mí me han perseguido, también a vosotros perseguirán: si han guardado mi palabra, también guardarán la vuestra.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21 Mas todo esto os harán por causa de mi nombre; porque no conocen al que me ha enviado.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

22 Si yo no hubiera venido, ni les hubiera hablado, no tuvieran pecado; mas ahora no tienen excusa de su pecado.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

23 El que me aborrece, también a mi Padre aborrece.

He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

24 Si yo no hubiese hecho entre ellos obras cuales ningún otro ha hecho, no tendrían pecado; mas ahora, ellos las han visto, y aborrecen a mí, y a mi Padre.

If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

25 Mas esto sucede, para que se cumpla la palabra que está escrita en su ley: Sin causa me aborrecieron.

But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

26 Empero cuando viniere el Consolador, el cual yo os enviaré del Padre, es a saber, el Espíritu de verdad, el cual procede del Padre, él dará testimonio de mí.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

27 Y vosotros también daréis testimonio, porque estáis conmigo desde el principio.

And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
