2 Corintios 4
1 Por lo cual teniendo nosotros este ministerio, según hemos alcanzado la misericordia, no desmayamos;
Therefore, seeing that we haue this ministerie, as we haue receiued mercy, we faint not:
2 Antes hemos renunciado las cosas encubiertas de vergüenza, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios; mas por manifestación de la verdad encomendándonos a nosotros mismos a la conciencia de todo hombre delante de Dios.
But haue cast from vs ye clokes of shame, and walke not in craftines, neither handle we the worde of God deceitfully: but in declaration of the trueth we approue our selues to euery mans conscience in the sight of God.
3 Que si nuestro evangelio es encubierto, para los que se pierden es encubierto:
If our Gospell bee then hid, it is hid to them that are lost.
4 En los cuales el dios de este siglo cegó los entendimientos de los incrédulos, para que no les resplandezca la luz del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, que es la imagen de Dios. (aiōn g165)
In whom the God of this world hath blinded the mindes, that is, of the infidels, that the light of the glorious Gospell of Christ, which is the image of God, should not shine vnto them. (aiōn g165)
5 Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesu Cristo, el Señor; y nosotros siervos vuestros por amor de Jesús.
For we preach not our selues, but Christ Iesus the Lord, and our selues your seruaunts for Iesus sake.
6 Porque Dios, que dijo que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para dar la iluminación de la ciencia de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Jesu Cristo.
For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.
7 Tenemos empero este tesoro en vasijas de barro, a fin que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros.
But we haue this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellencie of that power might be of God, and not of vs.
8 Por todo lado somos atribulados, mas no estrechados: perplejos, mas no desesperados;
Wee are afflicted on euery side, yet are we not in distresse: we are in doubt, but yet wee despaire not.
9 Perseguidos, mas no desamparados: abatidos, mas no destruidos:
We are persecuted, but not forsaken: cast downe, but we perish not.
10 Llevando siempre por todas partes en el cuerpo la muerte del Señor Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestro cuerpo.
Euery where we beare about in our bodie the dying of the Lord Iesus, that the life of Iesus might also be made manifest in our bodies.
11 Porque siempre nosotros que vivimos, somos entregados a la muerte a causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal.
For we which liue, are alwaies deliuered vnto death for Iesus sake, that the life also of Iesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12 De manera que la muerte obra en nosotros, mas en vosotros la vida.
So then death worketh in vs, and life in you.
13 Teniendo, pues, el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme a lo que está escrito: Creí, y por lo tanto hablé: nosotros también creemos, y por lo tanto hablamos:
And because we haue the same spirite of faith, according as it is written, I beleeued, and therefore haue I spoken, we also beleeue, and therefore speake,
14 Estando ciertos que el que levantó al Señor Jesús, a nosotros también nos levantará por Jesús; y nos presentará con vosotros.
Knowing that he which hath raised vp the Lord Iesus, shall raise vs vp also by Iesus, and shall set vs with you.
15 Porque todas las cosas son por vuestra causa, para que la abundante gracia por la acción de gracias de muchos, redunde a gloria de Dios.
For all thinges are for your sakes, that that most plenteous grace by the thankesgiuing of many, may redound to the praise of God.
16 Por tanto no desmayamos; antes aunque este nuestro hombre exterior se destruya, el interior empero se renueva de día en día.
Therefore we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed daily.
17 Porque nuestra leve tribulación, que no es sino por un momento, obra por nosotros un peso de gloria inconmensurablemente grande y eterno: (aiōnios g166)
For our light affliction which is but for a moment, causeth vnto vs a farre most excellent and an eternall waight of glorie: (aiōnios g166)
18 No mirando nosotros a lo que se ve, sino a lo que no se ve; porque lo que se ve, es temporal; mas lo que no se ve, es eterno. (aiōnios g166)
While we looke not on the thinges which are seene, but on the things which are not seene: for the things which are seene, are temporall: but the things which are not seene, are eternall. (aiōnios g166)
