Ezequiel 36
1 Tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza a los montes de Israel, diciendo: Oíd, montes de Israel, la palabra de Yahvé.
Thou therefore. Son of man, Prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, —and thou shalt say, Ye mountains of Israel Hear ye the word of Yahweh.
2 Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque el enemigo ha dicho de vosotros: «¡Ea! los collados eternos están en nuestro poder»,
Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, Because the enemy hath said concerning you Aha! Even the high places of age-past times, for a possession have become ours
3 por eso vaticina y di: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Precisamente por eso, porque os asolaron y os hollaron por todos lados, para que fueseis herencia de las demás naciones, y porque llegasteis a ser objeto de chismes y el oprobio de los pueblos,
Therefore, prophesy, and thou shalt say, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh-Because even because they have desolated and panted for you on every side That ye should become a possession to the rest of the nations, And ye have come up into the talk of the tongue and the slander of the people
4 por eso, escuchad, montes de Israel, la palabra de Yahvé, el Señor: Así dice Yahvé a los montes y a los collados, a las hondonadas y a los valles, a las ruinas, y a las ciudades abandonadas, que a las demás naciones circunvecinas sirvieron de presa y de ludibrio.
Therefore ye mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, To the mountains and to the hills, to the channels and to the valleys, and to the desolate waste places and to the cities that are forsaken, which have become a prey and a derision, to the rest of the nations which are on every side:
5 Por tanto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: En el fuego de mis celos he hablado contra las otras naciones y contra la Idumea entera, quienes se apoderaron de mi tierra, regocijándose de todo corazón y despreciándola en su alma, a fin de tomarla y saquearla.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Surely in the fire of my jealousy, have I spoken against the rest of the nations and against Edom all of it, — Who have given my land to themselves for a possession, In the rejoicing of all the heart In contempt of soul, To make of its produce a prey.
6 Por eso, profetiza respecto de la tierra de Israel; y di a los montes y a los collados, a los torrentes y a los valles: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que en mis celos y en mi indignación he hablado, porque vosotros habéis soportado la afrenta de las naciones.
Therefore prophesy, concerning the soil of Israel, —and say to the mountains and to the hills to the channels and to the valleys, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! In my jealousy and in mine indignation, have I spoken, Because the insult of the nations, ye have borne;
7 Por tanto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He alzado mi mano para que las naciones que os rodean, soporten también ellas su oprobio.
Therefore Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, I myself have lifted my hand, - Surely the nations which are yours round about, they their own shame, shall bear:
8 Mas vosotros, oh montes de Israel, brotad vuestras ramas y producid vuestro fruto para Israel, mi pueblo, porque cercana está su vuelta.
But ye O mountains of Israel Your boughs, shall ye shoot forth, And your fruit, shall ye bear For my people Israel, For they have drawn near to enter.
9 Porque he aquí que a vosotros (vengo); hacia vosotros vuelvo mi rostro y seréis labrados y sembrados.
For lo! I am towards you, Therefore will I turn towards you, And ye shall be tilled and sown;
10 Multiplicaré en vosotros la gente, la casa de Israel, toda entera. Serán repobladas las ciudades y reedificados los lugares destruidos.
And I will multiply, upon you—men, All the house of Israel All of it, Then shall the cities be inhabited, And the waste places, shall be built,
11 Os henchiré de hombres y de bestias, que crecerán y serán fecundos; os poblaré como antiguamente y os daré más bienes que al principio; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.
And I will multiply upon you—man and beast, And they shall multiply and be fruitful, — And I will cause you to be inhabited as in your former estates. And will do you more good than at your beginnings, So shall ye know that am Yahweh;
12 Y haré que ande gente sobre vosotros: Israel, mi pueblo. Ellos te poseerán, y tú serás su herencia; y no volveréis a estar sin ellos.
And I will bring upon you—men even my people Israel That they may possess thee, So shalt thou be theirs, as an inheritance, -And thou shalt no more again make them childless.
13 Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto dicen de vosotros: «Eres una tierra que se traga a los hombres y priva a tu pueblo de sus hijos»,
Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, Because they are saying to you. A devourer of men, thou art, And one that didst make childless thy nations, hast thou been
14 por eso en adelante no comerás más a los hombres ni privarás a tu pueblo de sus hijos, dice Yahvé, el Señor.
Therefore, men, shalt thou not devour any more, - And thy nations, shalt thou make childless no more, Declareth My Lord Yahweh;
15 Yo haré que no oigas más los insultos de las gentes ni tengas que sufrir los oprobios de los pueblos; pues no perderás más tu población”, dice Yahvé, el Señor.
And I will not suffer to be heard against thee any more, the insult of the nations, And the reproach of the peoples, shalt thou not bear any more, - And thy nations, shalt thou not cause to stumble any more, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
16 Y me llegó la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
17 “Hijo de hombre, mientras los de la casa de Israel habitaban en su tierra, la contaminaron con su proceder y sus malas obras. Era su conducta delante de Mí como la inmundicia de una mujer en su impureza.
Son of man The house of Israel were dwelling upon their own soil, But they defiled it by their way, and by their doings. Like the defilement of her that is removed, became their way before me.
18 Por lo cual derramaré mi ira sobre ellos, a causa de la sangre que derramaron sobre el país y porque lo contaminaron con sus ídolos.
So I poured out mine indignation upon them, Because of the blood which they had shed upon the land, - Yea with their manufactured gods, had they defiled it.
19 Por eso los he dispersado entre las naciones y fueron diseminados por los países; así los juzgué según sus caminos y conforme a sus obras.
So I dispersed them among the nations, And they were scattered throughout the lands, — According to their way and according to their doings, I judged them.
20 Mas llegados a las naciones adonde fueron, profanaron mi santo Nombre, pues se decía de ellos: «Estos son el pueblo de Yahvé, pero de la tierra de Él han salido».
But when they entered among the nations where they did enter, then profaned they my holy Name, —in that it was said of them The people of Yahweh, these! Yet from his land, have they come forth!
21 Sin embargo los perdoné por amor a mi santo Nombre, al que la casa de Israel había deshonrado entre las naciones adonde llegaron.
So then I had tender regard for my holy Name, - Which the house of Israel had profaned, among the nations, where they had entered.
22 Por eso, di a la casa de Israel: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: No por vosotros hago (esto), oh casa de Israel, sino por mi santo Nombre, al que vosotros habéis profanado entre las naciones a donde llegasteis.
Therefore say thou to the house of Israel Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Not for your sakes, am I working. O house of Israel, But for my holy Name which ye have profaned, among the nations where ye have entered;
23 Y santificaré mi gran Nombre que ha sido deshonrado entre los gentiles, el cual vosotros profanasteis en medio de ellos; y conocerán los gentiles que Yo soy Yahvé, el Señor cuando haga patente mi santidad en vosotros, viéndolo ellos.
Therefore will I hallow my great Name, that hath been profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in their midst, -So shall the nations know that I am Yahweh Declareth My Lord, Yahweh, When I have hallowed myself in you, before their eyes.
24 Pues Yo os sacaré de entre los gentiles, os recogeré de todos los países y os llevaré a vuestra propia tierra.
Therefore will I take you from among the nations, And gather you out of all the lands, - And will bring you upon your own soil;
25 Y derramaré sobre vosotros agua limpia para que quedéis limpios, y os purificaré de todas vuestras inmundicias y de todos vuestros ídolos.
And I will throw upon you clean water and ye shall be clean, — From all your uncleannesses and from all your manufactured gods, will I cleanse you;
26 Os daré un corazón nuevo, y pondré en vosotros un espíritu nuevo; quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra y os daré un corazón de carne.
And I will give you a new heart, And a new spirit, will I put within you, -And I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, And will give you a heart of flesh;
27 Infundiré mi Espíritu en vuestro corazón y haré que sigáis mis mandamientos y observéis mis leyes, poniéndolas por obra.
And my spirit, will I put within you, And will cause That in my statutes, ye shall walk, And my regulations, ye shall observe, and do;
28 Y habitaréis en la tierra que Yo di a vuestros padres; y vosotros seréis el pueblo mío, y Yo seré vuestro Dios.
And ye shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, - And ye shall become my people, And I will become your God;
29 Os libraré de todas vuestras inmundicias; haré venir el trigo y lo multiplicaré; y no os enviaré más el hambre.
And I will save you out of all your uncleannesses, —And will call for the corn and will increase it, And will not lay upon you famine; And I will save you out of all your uncleannesses, —And will call for the corn and will increase it, And will not lay upon you famine;
30 Multiplicaré el fruto del árbol y la cosecha del campo, a fin de que no sufráis más el oprobio del hambre entre las naciones.
And I will multiply The fruit of the tree, and The increase of the field, — To the end that ye may not receive any more the reproach of famine among the nations.
31 Entonces os acordaréis de vuestros malos caminos y de vuestras obras que no eran buenas, y tendréis asco de vosotros mismos a causa de vuestras iniquidades y abominaciones.
Then shall ye call to mind Your ways that were wicked, and Your doings that were not good, - And shall become loathsome in your own sight. For your iniquities and For your abominations.
32 No por vosotros haré Yo (esto), dice Yahvé, el Señor, tenedlo así entendido. ¡Confundíos y avergonzaos de vuestros caminos, oh casa de Israel!
Not for your sakes, am I working, Declareth My Lord Yahweh be it known to you, — Turn ye pale and then blush for your ways. O house of Israel.
33 Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: El día en que Yo os purificaré de todas vuestras iniquidades, repoblaré las ciudades y serán reedificados los lugares destruidos.
Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, In the day when I cleanse you, from all your iniquities, Then will I cause the cities to be inhabited, And the waste places shall be built;
34 La tierra devastada será cultivada en vez de ser un desierto a los ojos de todo transeúnte.
And the land that was made desolate shall be tilled, — Whereas it was a desolation, before the eyes of every passer-by;
35 Y se dirá: «La tierra que estaba desolada ha venido a ser como el jardín de Edén; y las ciudades desiertas, arruinadas y destruidas, se hallan ya fortificadas y habitadas».
And they shall say, This land that was made desolate hath become like the garden of Eden, - And the cities that were waste and deserted and thrown down, now fenced, are inhabited;
36 Y los gentiles que quedaren en torno vuestro conocerán que Yo, Yahvé, he reedificado lo que estaba destruido, y que Yo he plantado lo que estaba devastado. Yo, Yahvé, he hablado, y Yo obraré.
So shall the nations that may be left remaining round about you know that, I Yahweh— Have built that which was thrown down, and Have planted that which was made desolate, — I Yahweh, have spoken and performed.
37 Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Aun esto conseguirá la casa de Israel, para que lo haga en favor de ellos: los aumentaré con hombres a manera de rebaño.
Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Even yet—for this, will I be prevailed upon by the house of Israel to work for them, — I will multiply them-Like a flock—with men:
38 Como rebaño de ovejas consagradas, como los rebaños de Jerusalén en sus fiestas, así serán las ciudades desiertas: llenas de rebaños de hombres; y se conocerá que Yo soy Yahvé.
Like a flock of holy offerings Like the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, So, shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men, - And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
