1 Crónicas 27

1 El número de los hijos de Israel con arreglo a las cabezas de sus casas paternas, los jefes de miles y de cientos, y los magistrados que servían al rey en todo lo tocante a las formaciones militares, relevándose todos los meses del año, era de veinte y cuatro mil hombres para cada división.

Now, the sons of Israel—as to the number of them, the ancestral chiefs—and rulers of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who waited upon the king as to any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month, for all the months of the year, in each course, were twenty-four thousand.

2 Al frente de la primera división, que era la del primer mes, estaba Jasobeam, hijo de Zabdiel; en su división había veinte y cuatro mil.

Over the first course, for the first month, was Jashobeam, son of Zabdiel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

3 Él era de los hijos de Fares, y mandaba a todos los jefes de los ejércitos del primer mes.

Of the sons of Perez, was the chief for all the rulers of the hosts, for the first month.

4 Al frente de la división del segundo mes estaba Dodai ahohita, y su división, con la tropa que mandaba el príncipe Miclot, tenía veinte y cuatro mil.

And, over the course for the second month, was Dodai an Ahohite, and, of his course, was Mikloth also a chief ruler, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

5 Jefe del tercer ejército, para el tercer mes, era el comandante Banaías, hijo del sacerdote Joiadá; en su división había veinte y cuatro mil.

The ruler of the third host, for the third month, was Benaiah, son of Jehoiada the priest—a chief, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

6 Este Banaías era héroe entre los treinta, y estaba al frente de los treinta; en su división estaba Amizabad, su hijo.

The same Benaiah, was a hero of thirty, and over the thirty, —and, over his course, was Ammizabad his son.

7 El cuarto, para el cuarto mes, era Asael, hermano de Joab, y Zebadías, su hijo, después de él; su división comprendía veinte y cuatro mil.

The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son, after him, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

8 El quinto, para el mes quinto, era el jefe Samhut israíta, su división constaba de veinte y cuatro mil.

Of the fifth, for the fifth month, the ruler, was Shamhuth the Izrahite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

9 El sexto, para el sexto mes, era Irá, hijo de Iqués tecoíta, en cuya división había veinte y cuatro mil.

The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

10 El séptimo, para el séptimo mes, era Heles pelonita, de los hijos de Efraím; su división era de veinte y cuatro mil.

The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

11 El octavo, para el mes octavo, era Sibecai husatita, de los Zarhitas; su división tenía veinte y cuatro mil.

The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

12 El noveno, para el mes noveno, era Abiéser anatotita, de los Benjaminitas; en su división había veinte y cuatro mil.

The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

13 El décimo, para el décimo mes, era Maharai netofatita, de los Zarhitas, en cuya división había veinte y cuatro mil.

The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

14 El undécimo, para el mes undécimo, era Banaías piratonita, de los hijos de Efraím; su división tenía veinte y cuatro mil.

The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

15 El duodécimo, para el mes duodécimo, era Heldai netofatita, del linaje de Otniel; su división comprendía veinte y cuatro mil.

The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

16 Al frente de las tribus de Israel estaban: al frente de los Rubenitas: Eliéser, hijo de Sicrí; de los Simeonitas: Sefatías, hijo de Maacá;

Furthermore, over the tribes of Israel, the chief ruler of the Reubenites, was Eliezer, son of Zichri. Of the Simeonites, Shephatiah, son of Maacah.

17 de Leví: Hasabías, hijo de Kemuel; de la casa de Aarón: Sadoc;

Of Levi, Hashabiah, son of Kemuel. Of Aaron, Zadok.

18 de Judá: Eliab, uno de los hermanos de David; de Isacar: Amrí, hijo de Micael;

Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David. Of Issachar, Omri, son of Michael.

19 de Zabulón: Ismaías, hijo de Obadías; de Neftalí: Jerimot, hijo de Asriel;

Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, son of Obadiah. Of Naphtali, Jeremoth, son of Azriel.

20 de los hijos de Efraím: Oseas, hijo de Azarías; de la media tribu de Manasés: Joel, hijo de Fedaías;

Of the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Azaziah. Of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, son of Pedaiah.

21 de la otra tribu de Manasés en Galaad: Iddó, hijo de Zacarías; de Benjamín: Jaasiel, hijo de Abner;

Of the half of Manasseh, in Gilead, Iddo, son of Zechariah. Of Benjamin, Jaasiel, son of Abner.

22 de Dan: Asarel, hijo de Jeroham. Estos eran los príncipes de las tribus de Israel.

Of Dan, Azarel, son of Jeroham. These, were the rulers of the tribes of Israel.

23 David no hizo el censo de los de veinte años para abajo, porque Yahvé había dicho que multiplicaría a Israel como las estrellas del cielo.

But David took not the number of them, from twenty years old, and under, —because Yahweh had said, he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.

24 Joab, hijo de Sarvia, había comenzado a hacer el censo, pero no lo finalizó, pues estalló con ese motivo la ira (de Yahvé) contra Israel, y el resultado no fue puesto en el registro de los anales del rey David.

Joab son of Zeruiah, began to number, but finished not, when there arose, on this account, indignation against Israel, —neither did the number come up into the account of the chronicles of King David.

25 Asmávet, hijo de Abdiel, tenía a su cargo los tesoros del rey. Sobre lo que este poseía en el campo, en las ciudades, en las aldeas y en las torres, estaba Jonatán, hijo de Ucías;

And, over the treasuries of the king, was Azmaveth, son of Adiel. And, over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, in the villages and in the castles, was Jonathan, son of Uzziah;

26 sobre los labradores del campo que cultivaban las tierras, Esrí, hijo de Kelub;

And, over the workers of the field, for the tillage of the ground, was Ezri, son of Chelub.

27 sobre las viñas, Simeí de Ramá; sobre las provisiones de vino para las bodegas del vino, Sabdí de Safam;

And, over the vineyards, was Shimei, the Ramathite. And, over that which was in the vineyards, for the treasuries of wine, was Zabdi, the Shiphmite.

28 sobre los olivares y los sicomorales que había en la Sefelá, Baalhanán de Géder; sobre los depósitos de aceite, Joás;

And, over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland, was Baal-hanan the Gederite. And, over the treasuries of oil, was Joash.

29 sobre las vacadas que pacían en Sarón, Sitrai saronita; sobre las vacadas en los valles. Safat, hijo de Adlai;

And, over the herds that pastured in Sharon, was Shitrai, the Sharonite. And, over the herds in the vales, Shaphat, son of Adlai.

30 sobre los camellos, Obil ismaelita; sobre las asnas, Jedías meronotita;

And, over the camels, was Obil, the Ishmaelite. And, over the asses, was Jehdeyahu the Meronothite.

31 sobre las ovejas, Jasís agareno. Todos estos eran administradores de la hacienda del rey David.

And, over the flocks, was Jaziz, the Hagrite. All these, were rulers over the possessions that belonged to King David.

32 Jonatán, tío de David, varón sensato y prudente, era consejero. Él y Jehiel, hijo de Hacmoní, estaban con los hijos del rey.

And, Jonathan the relative of David, was a counsellor, a man of understanding and a scribe, was he. And, Jehiel son of Hachmoni, was with the sons of the king.

33 Aquitófel era consejero del rey, y Cusai arquita amigo del rey.

And, Ahitophel, was counsellor to the king. And, Hushai the Archite, was the companion of the king.

34 Luego de Aquitófel figuraban Joiadá, hijo de Banaías, y Abiatar. Joab era el generalísimo del ejército del rey.

And, after Ahitophel, was Jehoiada son of Benaiah—and Abiathar. And, the captain of the king’s army, was Joab.
