Псалми 83

1 Боже! Немој замукнути, немој ћутати, нити почивај, Боже!

A Song [or] Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2 Јер ево непријатељи Твоји узавреше, и који Те ненавиде, подигоше главу.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3 По народ Твој зло наумише, и договарају се на изабране Твоје.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4 Рекоше: Ходите да их истребимо између народа да се више не спомиње име Израиљево.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5 Сложно присташе и супрот Теби веру ухватише:

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6 Насеља Едомова и Исмаиловци, Моав и Агарени,

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7 Гевал и Амон и Амалик, Филистеји с Тирцима;

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 И Асур удружи се с њима; постадоше мишица синовима Лотовим.

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. (Selah)

9 Учини им онако као Мадијану, као Сисари, као Јавину на потоку Кисону.

Do unto them as [unto] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10 Који су истребљени у Аендору, нагнојише собом земљу.

[Which] perished at Endor: they became [as] dung for the earth.

11 Уради с њима, с кнезовима њиховим, као с Оривом и Зивом, и са свима главарима њиховим као са Зевејем и Салманом.

Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12 Јер говоре: Освојимо насеља Божија.

Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13 Боже мој! Заповеди нека буду као прах, као песак пред ветром.

O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14 Као што огањ сажиже шуму, и као пламен што запаљује горе,

As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15 Тако их погнај буром својом и вихором својим смети их.

So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16 Покриј лице њихово срамотом, да би тражили име Твоје, Господе!

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

17 Нека се стиде и сраме довека, нека се смету и изгину!

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 И нека знају да си Ти, коме је име Господ, једини највиши над свом земљом.

That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
