1 கரிந்தி²ந​: 1

1 யாவந்த​: பவித்ரா லோகா​: ஸ்வேஷாம் அஸ்மாகஞ்ச வஸதிஸ்தா²நேஷ்வஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸோ²​: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா ப்ரார்த²யந்தே தை​: ஸஹாஹூதாநாம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டேந யீஸு²நா பவித்ரீக்ரு’தாநாம்’ லோகாநாம்’ ய ஈஸ்²வரீயத⁴ர்ம்மஸமாஜ​: கரிந்த²நக³ரே வித்³யதே

Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, through God’s will, —and Sosthenes the brother, —

2 தம்’ ப்ரதீஸ்²வரஸ்யேச்ச²யாஹூதோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ப்ரேரித​: பௌல​: ஸோஸ்தி²நிநாமா ப்⁴ராதா ச பத்ரம்’ லிக²தி|

Unto the assembly of God which is in Corinth, sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, —with all who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in every place, —their Lord and ours:

3 அஸ்மாகம்’ பித்ரேஸ்²வரேண ப்ரபு⁴நா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந ச ப்ரஸாத³​: ஸா²ந்திஸ்²ச யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ தீ³யதாம்’|

Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.

4 ஈஸ்²வரோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி ப்ரஸாத³ம்’ ப்ரகாஸி²தவாந், தஸ்மாத³ஹம்’ யுஷ்மந்நிமித்தம்’ ஸர்வ்வதா³ மதீ³யேஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|

I give thanks unto my God, at all times, concerning you, by reason of the favour of God given unto you in Christ Jesus, —

5 க்²ரீஷ்டஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே யேந ப்ரகாரேண ஸப்ரமாணம் அப⁴வத்

That, in everything, ye have been enriched in him—in all discourse and in all knowledge;

6 தேந யூயம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டாத் ஸர்வ்வவித⁴வக்த்ரு’தாஜ்ஞாநாதீ³நி ஸர்வ்வத⁴நாநி லப்³த⁴வந்த​: |

Even as, the witness of the Christ, hath been confirmed in you,

7 ததோ(அ)ஸ்மத்ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய புநராக³மநம்’ ப்ரதீக்ஷமாணாநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கஸ்யாபி வரஸ்யாபா⁴வோ ந ப⁴வதி|

So that ye come short in no gift of favour, —ardently awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8 அபரம் அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய தி³வஸே யூயம்’ யந்நிர்த்³தோ³ஷா ப⁴வேத தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸஏவ யாவத³ந்தம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஸுஸ்தி²ராந் கரிஷ்யதி|

Who will also confirm you unto the end, unaccusable in the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]:

9 ய ஈஸ்²வர​: ஸ்வபுத்ரஸ்யாஸ்மத்ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்யாம்’ஸி²ந​: கர்த்தும்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஆஹூதவாந் ஸ விஸ்²வஸநீய​: |

Faithful, is God, through whom ye have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 ஹே ப்⁴ராதர​: , அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம்நா யுஷ்மாந் விநயே(அ)ஹம்’ ஸர்வ்வை ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரேகரூபாணி வாக்யாநி கத்²யந்தாம்’ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே பி⁴ந்நஸங்கா⁴தா ந ப⁴வந்து மநோவிசாரயோரைக்யேந யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸித்³த⁴த்வம்’ ப⁴வது|

But I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, —that, the same thing, ye, all, be saying, and that there be not, among you, divisions; but that ye be fitly joined together—in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

11 ஹே மம ப்⁴ராதரோ யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே விவாதா³ ஜாதா இதி வார்த்தாமஹம்’ க்லோய்யா​: பரிஜநை ர்ஜ்ஞாபித​: |

For it hath been signified unto me, concerning you, my brethren, —by them who are of [the household of] Chloe, —that there are strifes among you,

12 மமாபி⁴ப்ரேதமித³ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கஸ்²சித் கஸ்²சித்³ வத³தி பௌலஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம் ஆபல்லோ​: ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம்’ கைபா²​: ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யோ(அ)ஹமிதி ச|

Now I mean this, —that, each one of you, is saying—I, indeed, am of Paul, but, I, of Apollos, but, I, of Cephas, but, I, of Christ:

13 க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய கிம்’ விபே⁴த³​: க்ரு’த​: ? பௌல​: கிம்’ யுஷ்மத்க்ரு’தே க்ருஸே² ஹத​: ? பௌலஸ்ய நாம்நா வா யூயம்’ கிம்’ மஜ்ஜிதா​: ?

The Christ is divided! Was, Paul, crucified for you? Or, into the name of Paul, were ye immersed?

14 க்ரிஷ்பகா³யௌ விநா யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)ந்ய​: கோ(அ)பி மயா ந மஜ்ஜித இதி ஹேதோரஹம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|

I give thanks, that, none of you, did I immerse—save Crispus and Gaius,

15 ஏதேந மம நாம்நா மாநவா மயா மஜ்ஜிதா இதி வக்தும்’ கேநாபி ந ஸ²க்யதே|

Lest any should say—into my own name, I immersed:

16 அபரம்’ ஸ்திபா²நஸ்ய பரிஜநா மயா மஜ்ஜிதாஸ்தத³ந்ய​: கஸ்²சித்³ யந்மயா மஜ்ஜிதஸ்தத³ஹம்’ ந வேத்³மி|

Yea! I immersed the house of Stephanas also, —besides, I know not whether, anyone else, I immersed.

17 க்²ரீஷ்டேநாஹம்’ மஜ்ஜநார்த²ம்’ ந ப்ரேரித​: கிந்து ஸுஸம்’வாத³ஸ்ய ப்ரசாரார்த²மேவ; ஸோ(அ)பி வாக்படுதயா மயா ந ப்ரசாரிதவ்ய​: , யதஸ்ததா² ப்ரசாரிதே க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய க்ருஸே² ம்ரு’த்யு​: ப²லஹீநோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி|

For Christ sent me not, to be immersing, but to be telling the good news, —not with wisdom of discourse, lest, void should be made, the cross of the Christ.

18 யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யே விநஸ்²யந்தி தே தாம்’ க்ருஸ²ஸ்ய வார்த்தாம்’ ப்ரலாபமிவ மந்யந்தே கிஞ்ச பரித்ராணம்’ லப⁴மாநேஷ்வஸ்மாஸு ஸா ஈஸ்²வரீயஸ²க்திஸ்வரூபா|

For, the discourse which concerneth the cross, unto them, indeed, who are perishing, is, foolishness; but, unto them who are being saved—unto us, it is, God’s power.

19 தஸ்மாதி³த்த²ம்’ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே, ஜ்ஞாநவதாந்து யத் ஜ்ஞாநம்’ தந்மயா நாஸ²யிஷ்யதே| விலோபயிஷ்யதே தத்³வத்³ பு³த்³தி⁴ ர்ப³த்³தி⁴மதாம்’ மயா||

For it is written—I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and, the discernment of the discerning, will I set aside.

20 ஜ்ஞாநீ குத்ர? ஸா²ஸ்த்ரீ வா குத்ர? இஹலோகஸ்ய விசாரதத்பரோ வா குத்ர? இஹலோகஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநம்’ கிமீஸ்²வரேண மோஹீக்ரு’தம்’ நஹி? (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)

21 ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநாத்³ இஹலோகஸ்ய மாநவா​: ஸ்வஜ்ஞாநேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய தத்த்வபோ³த⁴ம்’ ந ப்ராப்தவந்தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ ஈஸ்²வர​: ப்ரசாரரூபிணா ப்ரலாபேந விஸ்²வாஸிந​: பரித்ராதும்’ ரோசிதவாந்|

For, seeing that, in the wisdom of God, the world, through its wisdom, did not get to knew God, God was well-pleased—through the foolishness of the thing proclaimed, to save them that believe.

22 யிஹூதீ³யலோகா லக்ஷணாநி தி³த்³ரு’க்ஷந்தி பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோகாஸ்து வித்³யாம்’ ம்ரு’க³யந்தே,

Seeing that both, Jews for signs, do ask, and, Greeks for wisdom, do seek,

23 வயஞ்ச க்ருஸே² ஹதம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டம்’ ப்ரசாரயாம​: | தஸ்ய ப்ரசாரோ யிஹூதீ³யை ர்விக்⁴ந இவ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யைஸ்²ச ப்ரலாப இவ மந்யதே,

Whereas, we, proclaim a Christ who hath been crucified, —unto Jews, indeed, an occasion of stumbling, and, unto Gentiles, foolishness;

24 கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யாநாஞ்ச மத்⁴யே யே ஆஹூதாஸ்தேஷு ஸ க்²ரீஷ்ட ஈஸ்²வரீயஸ²க்திரிவேஸ்²வரீயஜ்ஞாநமிவ ச ப்ரகாஸ²தே|

But, unto the called themselves—both Jews and Greeks, Christ, God’s power, and, God’s wisdom.

25 யத ஈஸ்²வரே ய​: ப்ரலாப ஆரோப்யதே ஸ மாநவாதிரிக்தம்’ ஜ்ஞாநமேவ யச்ச தௌ³ர்ப்³ப³ல்யம் ஈஸ்²வர ஆரோப்யதே தத் மாநவாதிரிக்தம்’ ப³லமேவ|

Because, God’s foolish thing, is, wiser than men, and, God’s weak thing, mightier than men.

26 ஹே ப்⁴ராதர​: , ஆஹூதயுஷ்மத்³க³ணோ யஷ்மாபி⁴ராலோக்யதாம்’ தந்மத்⁴யே ஸாம்’ஸாரிகஜ்ஞாநேந ஜ்ஞாநவந்த​: பராக்ரமிணோ வா குலீநா வா ப³ஹவோ ந வித்³யந்தே|

For be looking at the calling of you, brethren, —that [there were] not many wise, according to flesh. Not many powerful, not many high-born:

27 யத ஈஸ்²வரோ ஜ்ஞாநவதஸ்த்ரபயிதும்’ மூர்க²லோகாந் ரோசிதவாந் ப³லாநி ச த்ரபயிதும் ஈஸ்²வரோ து³ர்ப்³ப³லாந் ரோசிதவாந்|

On the contrary—the foolish things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame them who are wise, and, the weak things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame the things that are mighty,

28 ததா² வர்த்தமாநலோகாந் ஸம்’ஸ்தி²திப்⁴ரஷ்டாந் கர்த்தும் ஈஸ்²வரோ ஜக³தோ(அ)பக்ரு’ஷ்டாந் ஹேயாந் அவர்த்தமாநாம்’ஸ்²சாபி⁴ரோசிதவாந்|

And, the low-born things of the world, and the things that are despised, hath God chosen, —[and] the things that are not, —that, the things that are, he might bring to nought;

29 தத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத் கேநாப்யாத்மஸ்²லாகா⁴ ந கர்த்தவ்யா|

So that no flesh should boast before God.

30 யூயஞ்ச தஸ்மாத் க்²ரீஷ்டே யீஸௌ² ஸம்’ஸ்தி²திம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்த​: ஸ ஈஸ்²வராத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஜ்ஞாநம்’ புண்யம்’ பவித்ரத்வம்’ முக்திஸ்²ச ஜாதா|

But, of him, are, ye, in Christ Jesus, who hath been made wisdom unto us, from God, —both righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 அதஏவ யத்³வத்³ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத்³வத், ய​: கஸ்²சித் ஸ்²லாக⁴மாந​: ஸ்யாத் ஸ்²லாக⁴தாம்’ ப்ரபு⁴நா ஸ ஹி|

In order that, even as it is written—He that boasteth, in the Lord, let him boast.
