< 1 Timotius 4 >

1 Lamatuaꞌ Dꞌula-dꞌalen nafadꞌe relo-relo ena nae, dei fo atahori saraniꞌ ruma nggari hendi saa fo hita tamahereꞌ a. De reu tungga nitur nenori tipu-lakan mana natudꞌaꞌ atahori.
Howbeit, the Spirit, expressly saith—that, in later seasons, some will revolt from the faith, giving heed unto seducing spirits, and unto teachings of demons—
2 Atahori mana nema nanori taꞌo naa, olaꞌ laen, te tao laen. Memaꞌ sira atahori mana peko-lelekoꞌ! Atahori naa ra rala dudꞌuꞌa nara memaꞌ maꞌatemeꞌ ena.
in hypocrisy, speaking falsehood, [of demons] cauterised in their own conscience, —
3 Ara ranori atahori fo afiꞌ sao. Ara o raluli nanaat mataꞌ-mataꞌ boe! Te matetun, nanaa-nininuꞌ naa ra Lamatualain mana tao. Ana tao nanaat nara, fo mete ma atahori mamahereꞌ ra raa, na, roꞌe makasi neu E. Huu rahine nenori ndoon!
Forbidding to marry, [commanding] to abstain from foods which, God, created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and personally know the truth;
4 Basa saa fo Lamatualain taoꞌ naa, memaꞌ maloleꞌ. Dadꞌi afiꞌ neluli mataꞌ-mataꞌ! Atahori musi simbo basa naa, no roꞌe makasi neu Lamatualain.
Because, every creature of God, is good, and nothing to be cast away, if, with thanksgiving, it be received, —
5 Te hita bubꞌuluꞌ tae, Lamatualain Dedꞌea oꞌolan, ma hita hule-oꞌen, tao basa naa ra dadꞌi meumareꞌ.
For it is hallowed by the word of God and intercession,
6 Tius! Fee nesenedꞌaꞌ basa dalaꞌ ia ra reu toronoo mamahereꞌ ra. Mete ma tao taꞌo naa, ho dadꞌi Yesus Kristus atahori mana tao-ues malolen. Lamatualain Dedꞌea-oꞌola nara tao nggo mumuhere neu E, ma fee nggo muhine nenoriꞌ bee ndaa. Ho toꞌu muhereꞌ Lamatualain Dedꞌea-oꞌolan ena! Naa, onaꞌ a nanaat mana tao maꞌadere ao ma.
These things, submitting to the brethren, thou shall be, a noble, minister of Christ Jesus, nourishing thyself with the words of the faith, and of the noble teaching which thou hast closely studied.
7 Afiꞌ nggari fai no dudꞌui ombo-koson nda matoꞌuꞌ no Lamatualain sa. Afiꞌ tao-afiꞌ neu ina lasiꞌ ra dudꞌui neluliꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ nara. Malole lenaꞌ munea aom fo m usodꞌa tungga Lamatualain hihiin.
But, from the profane and old-wives’ stories, excuse thyself, and be training thyself unto godliness;
8 Munea ao ma fo maꞌadereꞌ, naa maloleꞌ. Te nggunan mbeiꞌ a. Munea ao ma fo musodꞌa tungga Lamatuaꞌ hihiin sia basa dalaꞌ ra, nggunan naeꞌ. Naa nggunan nda soaꞌ neuꞌ a masodꞌaꞌ sia raefafoꞌ ia sa, te sia masodꞌa mana nemaꞌ a boe.
For, the bodily training, for little, is profitable, whereas, godliness, for all things is profitable, —having, promise, of life—the present and the coming.
9 Dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ ia ra tebꞌe! De mbedꞌaꞌ sia ralam fo afiꞌ liliiꞌ.
Faithful, the saying! and, of all acceptance, worthy;
10 Hita tamahena neu Lamatualain masodꞌaꞌ a. Eni, mana fee masodꞌaꞌ neu basa atahori, lelenan soaꞌ neu hita mana tamahere neu E. Naeni de hita ue-tao tahere takandondoꞌa.
For, to this end, are we toiling and contending, because we have set our hope on a Living God, Who is Saviour of all men—specially, of such as believe.
11 Munori basa ia ra. Ma denu atahori fo tungga nenori ia ra.
Be giving these things in charge, and be teaching: —
12 Afiꞌ fee atahori raloe nggo, huu ho feꞌe soruꞌ. Musi mutudꞌu dala maloleꞌ soaꞌ neu atahori mamahereꞌ ra, mia oꞌolam, tatao-nonoꞌim, susue-lalaim neu atahori, nemeherem neu Yesus Kristus, ma masodꞌa meumarem.
Let, no one, despise, thy youth, but, an ensample, become thou of the faithful, —in discourse, in behaviour, in love, in faith, in chastity.
13 Leleꞌ hei mihani au uꞌuma ngga, afiꞌ lilii baca Lamatualain dedꞌea-oꞌolan fee atahori mamahereꞌ ra. Tao manggatetee rala nara, ma nenori malolole se.
While I am coming, be giving heed—to the reading, to the exhorting, to the teaching:
14 Pake malolole papala-babꞌanggiꞌ fo ho simbo mia Lamatualain, leleꞌ malangga mananuni jamaꞌat ra hule-oꞌe ma lalaa lima nara neu nggo. Leleꞌ naa, ara rafadꞌe Lamatualain hehelu-fufulin soꞌal masodꞌam no ue-tataom. Dadꞌi afiꞌ mbedꞌaꞌ hela papala-babꞌanggiꞌ fo hambuꞌ naa.
Be not careless of the gift of favour, that is in thee, which was given thee through means of prophesying, along with a laying on of the hands of the eldership.
15 Mulalao dalaꞌ naa ra no nggate-nggate! Fo basa atahori rita rae, masodꞌam no ue-tataom laoꞌ.
These things, be thy care, in these things, be thou, that, thine advancement, may be, manifest, unto all:
16 Munea fo musodꞌa ndos mukundooꞌ a. Ma munea fo munoriꞌ a matetuꞌ. Mete ma muꞌutataaꞌ mo basa naa, naa Lamatualain soi dalaꞌ fee nggo mo atahori mana rena nggo, fo hei nenemboꞌit mia basa dala deꞌulakaꞌ ra.
Be giving heed to thyself, and to thy teaching, —abide still in them; for, this doing, both, thyself, shalt thou save, and them that hearken to thee.
