2 Crônicas 6
1 Então Salomão disse: “Yahweh disse que iria habitar na escuridão espessa”.
Then spoke Solomon: The LORD hath said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.
2 Mas eu lhe construí uma casa e um lar, um lugar para você morar para sempre”.
But I have built Thee a house of habitation, and a place for Thee to dwell in for ever.
3 O rei virou seu rosto, e abençoou toda a assembléia de Israel; e toda a assembléia de Israel ficou de pé.
And the king turned his face, and blessed all the congregation of Israel; and all the congregation of Israel stood.
4 Ele disse: “Bendito seja Javé, o Deus de Israel, que falou com sua boca a Davi, meu pai, e com suas mãos o cumpriu, dizendo:
And he said: 'Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth unto David my father, and hath with His hands fulfilled it, saying:
5 'Desde o dia em que tirei meu povo da terra do Egito, não escolhi nenhuma cidade de todas as tribos de Israel para construir uma casa, para que meu nome estivesse lá, e não escolhi nenhum homem para ser príncipe sobre meu povo Israel;
Since the day that I brought forth My people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that My name might be there; neither chose I any man to be prince over My people Israel;
6 mas agora escolhi Jerusalém, para que meu nome estivesse lá; e escolhi Davi para estar sobre meu povo Israel'.
but I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name might be there; and have chosen David to be over My people Israel.
7 Agora estava no coração de Davi meu pai para construir uma casa para o nome de Iavé, o Deus de Israel.
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
8 Mas Javé disse a Davi meu pai: 'Enquanto estava em seu coração construir uma casa para o meu nome, você fez bem que estivesse em seu coração;
But the LORD said unto David my father: Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for My name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart;
9 no entanto, você não construirá a casa, mas seu filho que sairá do seu corpo, ele construirá a casa para o meu nome'.
nevertheless thou shalt not build the house, but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for My name.
10 “Javé cumpriu sua palavra que falou; pois eu me levantei no lugar de Davi, meu pai, e me sentei no trono de Israel, como Javé prometeu, e construí a casa para o nome de Javé, o Deus de Israel.
And the LORD hath established His word that He spoke; for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.
11 Ali coloquei a arca, na qual está o pacto de Javé, que ele fez com os filhos de Israel”.
And there have I set the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which He made with the children of Israel.'
12 Ele estava diante do altar de Iavé na presença de toda a assembléia de Israel, e estendeu suas mãos
And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands —
13 (pois Salomão tinha feito uma plataforma de bronze, cinco cúbitos de comprimento, cinco cúbitos de largura e três cúbitos de altura, e a tinha colocado no meio do tribunal; e ele ficou de pé sobre ela, e ajoelhou-se diante de toda a assembléia de Israel, e estendeu suas mãos em direção ao céu).
for Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven —
14 Então ele disse: “Javé, o Deus de Israel, não há Deus como tu no céu ou na terra - tu que guardas aliança e bondade amorosa com teus servos que caminham diante de ti com todo o coração;
and he said: 'O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like Thee, in the heaven, or in the earth; who keepest covenant and mercy with Thy servants, that walk before Thee with all their heart;
15 que guardaste com teu servo Davi, meu pai, o que lhe prometeste. Sim, você falou com sua boca, e a cumpriu com sua mão, como é hoje.
who hast kept with Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst promise him; yea, Thou spokest with Thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with Thy hand, as it is this day.
16 “Agora, pois, Javé, o Deus de Israel, guarda com teu servo Davi, meu pai, o que lhe prometeste, dizendo: 'Não te faltará um homem à minha vista para te sentares no trono de Israel, se apenas teus filhos tomarem cuidado com o seu caminho, para andar na minha lei como tu andaste diante de mim'.
Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, keep with Thy servant David my father that which Thou hast promised him, saying: There shall not fail thee a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in My law as thou hast walked before Me.
17 Agora, portanto, Javé, o Deus de Israel, que sua palavra seja verificada, a qual você falou a seu servo Davi.
Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, let Thy word be verified, which Thou spokest unto Thy servant David.
18 “Mas será que Deus realmente habitará com os homens na terra? Eis que o céu e o céu dos céus não te podem conter; quanto menos esta casa que eu construí!
But will God in very truth dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Thee; how much less this house which I have builded!
19 Mas respeita a oração de teu servo e a sua súplica, Javé meu Deus, para ouvir o grito e a oração que teu servo faz diante de ti;
Yet have Thou respect unto the prayer of Thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer which Thy servant prayeth before Thee;
20 para que teus olhos estejam abertos para esta casa dia e noite, mesmo para o lugar onde disseste que porias teu nome, para ouvir a oração que teu servo fará para este lugar.
that Thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place whereof Thou hast said that thou wouldest put Thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which Thy servant shall pray toward this place.
21 Ouça as petições de seu servo e de seu povo Israel, quando eles rezarem para este lugar. Sim, ouça de seu lugar de residência, mesmo do céu; e quando ouvir, perdoe.
And hearken Thou to the supplications of Thy servant, and of Thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place; yea, hear Thou from Thy dwelling-place, even from heaven; and when Thou hearest, forgive.
22 “Se um homem pecar contra seu próximo, e lhe for feito um juramento para fazê-lo jurar, e ele vier e jurar diante de seu altar nesta casa,
If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be exacted of him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before Thine altar in this house;
23 então ouça do céu, aja e julgue seus servos, trazendo retribuição ao ímpio, para trazer seu caminho sobre sua própria cabeça; e justificando o justo, para dar-lhe de acordo com sua justiça.
then hear Thou from heaven, and do, and judge Thy servants, requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
24 “Se seu povo Israel for atingido diante do inimigo por ter pecado contra você, e se voltar e confessar seu nome, e rezar e suplicar diante de você nesta casa,
And if Thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, when they sin against Thee, and shall turn again and confess Thy name, and pray and make supplication before Thee in this house;
25 então ouça do céu, e perdoe o pecado de seu povo Israel, e traga-o novamente à terra que você deu a eles e a seus pais.
then hear Thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of Thy people Israel, and bring them back unto the land which Thou gavest to them and to their fathers.
26 “Quando o céu estiver fechado e não houver chuva porque eles pecaram contra você, se orarem para este lugar e confessarem seu nome, e se voltarem do pecado deles quando você os afligir,
When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, when they sin against Thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess Thy name, turning from their sin, when Thou dost afflict them;
27 então ouça no céu, e perdoe o pecado de seus servos, seu povo Israel, quando você lhes ensinar o bom caminho em que devem andar, e enviar chuva em sua terra, que você deu ao seu povo por herança.
then hear Thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of Thy servants, and of Thy people Israel, when Thou dost direct them on the good way wherein they should walk; and send rain upon Thy land, which Thou hast given to Thy people for an inheritance.
28 “Se houver fome na terra, se houver peste, se houver ferrugem ou míldio, gafanhoto ou lagarta; se seus inimigos os sitiarem na terra de suas cidades; seja qual for a praga ou seja qual for a doença -
If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting or mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague or whatsoever sickness there be;
29 seja qual for a oração e súplica feita por qualquer homem, ou por todo o teu povo Israel, que conhecerá cada um a sua própria praga e sua própria dor, e estenderá as mãos para esta casa,
what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all Thy people Israel, who shall know every man his own plague and his own pain, and shall spread forth his hands toward this house;
30 então ouve do céu a tua morada e perdoa, e presta a cada homem de acordo com todos os seus caminhos, cujo coração tu conheces (para ti, até mesmo tu só, conheces o coração dos filhos dos homens),
then hear Thou from heaven Thy dwelling-place, and forgive, and render unto every man according to all his ways, whose heart Thou knowest — for Thou, even Thou only, knowest the hearts of the children of men —
31 para que eles te temam, para que andem nos teus caminhos enquanto viverem na terra que deste a nossos pais.
that they may fear Thee, to walk in Thy ways, all the days that they live in the land which Thou gavest unto our fathers.
32 “Além disso, em relação ao estrangeiro, que não é do seu povo Israel, quando vier de um país distante por causa do seu grande nome e da sua mão poderosa e do seu braço estendido, quando vierem rezar para esta casa,
Moreover concerning the stranger, that is not of Thy people Israel, when be shall come out of a far country for Thy great name's sake, and Thy mighty hand, and Thine outstretched arm; when they shall come and pray toward this house;
33 então ouça do céu, mesmo do seu lugar de residência, e faça de acordo com tudo o que o estrangeiro chamar por você; para que todos os povos da terra saibam o seu nome e o temam, assim como o seu povo Israel, e para que saibam que esta casa que construí é chamada pelo seu nome.
then hear Thou from heaven, even from Thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to Thee for; that all the peoples of the earth may know Thy name, and fear Thee, as doth Thy people Israel, and that they may know that Thy name is called upon this house which I have built.
34 “Se seu povo sair para lutar contra seus inimigos, por qualquer forma que você os envie, e eles lhe rezarem para esta cidade que você escolheu, e para a casa que eu construí para seu nome;
If Thy people go out to battle against their enemies, by whatsoever way Thou shalt send them, and they pray unto Thee toward this city which Thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for Thy name;
35 então ouça do céu suas orações e suas súplicas, e mantenha sua causa.
then hear Thou from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
36 “Se eles pecarem contra você (pois não há homem que não peca), e você estiver zangado com eles e os entregar ao inimigo, de modo que eles os levem cativos para uma terra distante ou próxima;
If they sin against Thee — for there is no man that sinneth not — and Thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive unto a land far off or near;
37 yet se eles caírem em si na terra onde são levados cativos, e se voltarem novamente, e lhe fizerem súplicas na terra de seu cativeiro, dizendo: 'Nós pecamos, fizemos perversamente, e procedemos maliciosamente';
yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn, and make supplication unto Thee in the land of their captivity, saying: We have sinned, we have done iniquitously, and have dealt wickedly;
38 se voltarem a vós de todo o coração e com toda a alma na terra de seu cativeiro, onde foram levados cativos, e rezarem para a terra que destes a seus pais, e para a cidade que escolhestes, e para a casa que construí para vosso nome;
if they return unto Thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captive, and pray toward their land, which Thou gavest unto their fathers, and the city which Thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for Thy name;
39 então escutai do céu, mesmo de vossa morada, suas orações e suas súplicas, e mantende sua causa, e perdoai a vosso povo que pecou contra vós.
then hear Thou from heaven, even from Thy dwelling-place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause; and forgive Thy people who have sinned against Thee.
40 “Agora, meu Deus, deixai, peço-vos, que vossos olhos estejam abertos, e que vossos ouvidos estejam atentos à oração que é feita neste lugar.
Now, O my God, let, I beseech Thee, Thine eyes be open, and let Thine ears be attent, unto the prayer that is made in this place.
41 “Agora, portanto, levanta-te, Javé Deus, em teu lugar de descanso, tu e a arca de tuas forças”. Que seus sacerdotes, Javé Deus, se vistam de salvação e que seus santos se regozijem com a bondade.
Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into Thy resting-place, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength; let Thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let Thy saints rejoice in good.
42 “Yahweh Deus, não vire o rosto de seu ungido. Lembre-se de suas amorosas gentilezas para com David, seu servo”.
O LORD God, turn not away the face of Thine anointed; remember the good deeds of David Thy servant.'
